I am using a Pro-ject turntable because they are fantastic quality and always sound excellent.

Perhaps you could help me with a tricky spot with a pair of BeoLab 5's.
I have a BeoSound 5 / Beomaster 5 all connected up and working well (SPDIF and Power Link) I want to connect my turntable (via a phonostage) to the line input of the beolab 5's. is there an option setting on the speakers that will allow this.
I'm happy (not happy really) to change the option on the speakers when I want to play vinyl and then switch back to "option 0" when i'm using the beosound 5.
Also have you found a better device than that behringer thing for using the A.aux.

Mario here from Uruguay. I have a Beocenter 2300 in excellent condition. I have a Bellari VP-530 preamplifier that happens to have volume for the output and a line output. I’m using the output with volume connected to the aux port of the 2300 and I wonder if that’s correct in this case or if I should rather use the line output of the Bellari. Nice videos mate! Hi I have a Beosound 9000 with Beolab 4000 and Beolab 8000s, I have recently got a Pro-Ject RPM 1 and using a pre-amp like you've shown, does it benefit much with the B&O set up if you go for a better pre-amp? I am curious? for example a tube/valve type pre-amp? Would like to hear your comments, thanks

Hi John, watched this video and i must bare my soul ive just purchased a Pro ject T1with blue tooth, at the moment i can stream it to my beoplay A2 and it sounds really lovely. i would convert a earlier beogram eg 2000 or 3000 to bluetooth but the quality for "refurbished" cartridges varies so much i put me off.
Sigh please tell m Bang Olufsen are relaunching a beogram PLEASE ! LOL

I have an old Beovision Avant 32 RF which I use to watch my laserdiscs, but it would be nice if I could connect my Technics turntable to that so it would run through the tv to the Beolab 8000. Would this be possible? It has 2 standard audio inputs, but when I connect, I get nothing.

If you're a big Beo fan, I still think you should go for an old Beogram. I use an old Beogram 6500 with Mmc-1 stylus with my BL5's. Great feeling to mix that old Beogram with the new high tech BL5's. :)

It most certainly does. There is a 3.5mm jack input that you can use. John

I am about to receive a Technics professional turntable and temporarily would like to connect it to my Beoplay A9 that I just purchased. If I purchase a pre-amp, can I connect the turntable to the pre-amp and then the A9 directly to the pre-amp without having to acquire an amplifier? I am not a tecky so I will need basic info. Hi Dennis, you can connect the pre amp to the line in on the A9 and use the A9's volume control. That will work fine as you suggest. John

Hans Chr. Hågensen you can indeed. You can connect the turntable pre amp shown in the video to the input of the S8 connection hub. You will need a female RCA phono to RJ45 cable. www.soundsheavenly.com can supply the cable for you. Program the volume commands from a remote control into the S8 hub using the supplied guide. John.
Why not connect a B&O turntable? I have a Beogram 3000, Beogram 4002 and a TX2. I'm connected to Marantz, B&O and Harmon Kardon receivers and they all sound amazing.

Hi. I’m trying to get my Fluance RT-81 record player linked up to my B&O 9000 CD player and loud speaker system. I have managed to get the audio to play but have no ability to adjust the volume. Do you know how I might be able to do this?

Do you really need a pre amp? I thought you could just plug the RCA from the turntable directly into say the Essence MK2 and it should work? Great video.
The output from a turntable is very low, the little phono stage boosts the output to that of a normal line connection. Turntables always need a phono stage, they are either built in to the turntable, built in to the amplifier or a separate box. John

B&O used to make lovely turntables a long time ago. I don't think they'll ever get back into it. We still see models from the 70's and 80's going strong.
I supply Pro-ject in the showroom because they are really good and make a decent range from budget to high end.

Hi, Beosound Stage has a line in 3.5mm jack socket. All you need is a phono RCA to 3.5mm adapter. Steve at Sounds Heavenly can help if you're stuck. John

yes indeed you can, i run 1210mk2 personally, its all the same with any turntabe (tho obv old beograms are the easiest obv as are 5 pin din in the first place and have in built pre amp) :)
funny to hear their advices about "vibration" on this piece of plastic wood; all you need to avoid these problems is technics/pioneer and massive wood table (not from ikea)
Hello. It's on that table for the purpose of the video. For normal demo purposes it usually sits on a dedicated solid glass stand.
