That tenor has such a pure, angelic voice. I enjoy seeing and hearing members of the chorus sing solos.

Please stop punting your religion wherever you get a chance. The music is inspirational, for sure, but written by a mortal human being and performed here by mere mortals. To them, alone, must go all the credit.
When you begin to notice changes, Physical changes in some members of the Chorus, you know you have been listening for a while. I need not say more, it is just part of life and music. If anything I have learned of Bach's music, it is and always to have a song of joy in the face of all manner of life's challenges.
I just listened to the informative workshop by Lutz and Graaf about this cantata, and almost instantly the complete recording was uploaded.

A downside: The Oboe is a bit too loud recorded compared to the sopran

Splendid performance. I particularly liked the tempo of the alto aria, which is normally sung so fast that the words are swallowed.

Sorry for my inadequate English. I remember a sentense from the employment contract that Bach signet in Leipzig 1723: "I will not perform any music that sounds like opera." So thank you so much for this wonderful solists.
LORD, IS THIS CANTATA JUST GORGEOUS. ONE AFTER ANOTHER FROM J.S. BACH FOUNDATION. THE CHORUS IS DEVINE AND THE WRITING IS MADE EVEN MORE BEAUTIFUL BY THE QUALITY OF THIS PERFORMANCE.

So here I am in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea, and I receive notification of a new You Tube video from the Bchstiftung, on a Saturday night at 10:30. What a delight! A decent glass of wine, and a remarkable performance from the very excellent ensemble. What gives me the greatest pleasure is being able to see the wonderful YOUNG performers keeping the work of JS Bach alive. My thanks to all concerned for a video I will watch many many times.
I agree with you absolutely. The performance was so good I replayed it at once. It is indeed most encouraging that so many young performers are carrying on the great Bach tradition. I am a keen follower of this group, as living in Penang, Malaysia there are no live performances of Bach cantatas. Many thanks to Rudolf Lutz and his performers.

That soprano/oboe duet is really something. The dialogue amidst the harmonies is just incredible.

Question : Was the opening organ intro an improvisation, newly composed, or by Bach or some other composer?
It is a new composition as Bachstiftung people usually do when they think JSB would have done in a similar way - in this case, to get the members of the choir tuned.
