Bach va mucho más allá de la música, incluso se lo humano: es de otra dimensión
Ein Wunderwerk diese Kantate! Wie aus einem Guss. Herzlichen Dank an die Bach-Stiftung für diese herrliche Interpretation. Vor allem die Alt-Arie ist für die Ewigkeit. Jedes Wort, jeder Ton (es gilt auch für die Flötistin) sitzt und berührt die Seele. Das Feuer in den Augen der beiden Damen ist nicht von dieser Welt. Es kommt von Bachs Musik. Sie kommt aus dem Wort Gottes. Dank sei dem Schöpfer. Er hat`s gegeben. Er ist dieses Feuer. Er brennt in jedem, der "aus wahrem Herzensgrund und nicht nur mit dem Mund Ihn Herren nennt", um den Text der Arie zu paraphrasieren. Selig wer so brennen darf. Silja Walter beschreibt das so:
Wolke, decke mich und gieße,
Feuerwolke,
Deine kühle, süße
Flammenflut in meine Erde,
Daß sie werde,
Daß sie sprieße,
Was Dein Wort verheißt:
Gott in meinem Leib und Geist.
Herzlichen Dank für diese Worte.
Diese Worte sind die einzige Möglichkeit Ihnen zu danken. Meinen Beifall hören Sie nicht. Meine Gänsehaut spüren Sie nicht. Es ist so wertvoll, was Sie als Bach-Stiftung tun! Gerade für kranke Menschen, die nicht in die Konzerte gehen können. Sie bekommen Ihre Theophanie-Momente gratis nach hause geliefert. Wozu noch Schmerzmittel? Da singt man einfach mit dem wunderbaren Peter Harvey die Arie aus BWV 25 mit::
"Ach, wo hol ich Armer Rat?
Meinen Aussatz, meine Beulen
Kann kein Kraut noch Pflaster heilen
Als die Salb aus Gilead.
Du, mein Arzt, Herr Jesu, nur
Weißt die beste Seelenkur."
... und schon lässt sich das Elend aushalten. Mehr noch, es lässt sich sogar in manchen Fällen als Gewinn entdecken und dadurch besiegen. Oh Wunder! Diese "Seelenkur" kann uns die Pharma-Göttin nicht bieten. Nur ER. Als guter Arzt weiß Er wem solche Kur zuzumuten ist ...

14:01 : The intonation of the young traverso player is just perfect.
All awesome, but the epic opening chorus is an absolutely remarkable composition. Some of Bach's best counterpoint and that is saying something. Bravo to conductor and performers.
Astonishingly good performance. The bass arioso by Andreas Wolf is unsurpassed. This is the fire that moved Bach..
I was amazed at how clean and strong his voice is. One of the best basses I've ever heard.

@@johnbeattie5014there was a common view among many musicians especially pianists that Bach and early music in general was rigid because there were few explicit ornaments, dynamics, tempo markings. You can hear this in many recordings before 1970; which is one reason why Glenn Gould was so revolutionary!

Annekathrine Laabs has an amazing voice. Her bel canto is perfect and you can see on her face how much she enjoys singing Bach. More of her please!
Der Eingangssatz dieser Kantate ist einfach nur herrlich. Für mich repräsentiert er v.a. im Wechsel der Chöre in ganz herausragender Art die geniale Schaffenskraft von Johann Sebastian Bach.
What an impressive performance indeed! Particularly so because of the Bach Factory's explanation of the text. A few hundred years and the ethos is so changed. Are we still struck with awe and humility? Thank you, the J.S. Bach Foundation there are just not enough accolades to shower upon your Director, musicians, choir and soloists. Forever in your debt.

Dem kann ich nur uneingeschränkt zustimmen! Ich habe diese Arie noch nie so gut gehört. Dass das eine Sternstunde war, zeigen auch die Gesichter einiger Choristen, die den Vortrag mit großer Faszination und innerer Anteilnahme verfolgen und ihre Begeisterung und Anerkennung nicht verbergen können. Die mussten sich ja gradezu zwingen, nach der Arie nicht zu klatschen ...

An overwhelming ocean of pure music!
Expertly check conducted and sung. The soloist were top notch..I normally don't find this to be the case but this entire performance was exceptional from top to bottom. Kudos to everyone.

Yet again an exquisite performance. Full of vigour, poetic beauty and sheer enthusiasm … Very well recorded. Love the bearded bass singer in the choir - almost “dancing” during the opening choir. And being particularly “swingy” at 3:53. So charming and fun - and quite appropriate for this festive bliss. Congrats to y’all.

This is the first time i hear this piece start at: 10:49 just BEAUTIFUL. This singer is very on beat and accurate, and there for it sounds very strong. What does the singing technique called start at : 12:44 till 12:49 ?
If you mean the way he sings multiple notes on a single syllable, it's melisma
