  • The Cursed Robalo America's only boat that can have two major accidents in the same day has left the Blackpoint boat ramp wounded and a sail boat on life support. The Chit Show at Blackpoint marina this weekend was in full effect. The weather in Miami is beginning to get really hot and the sandbars are starting to get full. Many boat ramp fails and qualified captains out on the water today but none like the cursed Robalo.
Sit back and watch till the end because we have two unbelievable clips that will make your mouth drop. My name is Alfred Montaner host of the chit show at Blackpoint Marina.
Boat ramp fails and Chit Show are crazy in this one .

Damm that won’t buff out the day I bought our boat with my dad the owner selling it was heading with us back to the marina to Trailer it and the man accelerated like this I almost flew off the bow when he hit the dock, then he hit reverse at full hit another dock and nearly hit a contender I pinged to the controls and turned off the engines, good thing he had insurance and paid for all damages or there would have been the end of that sale.

Coming off a 40 year boat layoff, I took the online course thru the US Power Squadron then their hands on course, 5 hours on the water in their 21' boat. Best thing I ever did and made me a more competent operator. No more than in and out of gear, idle speed around the dock. If you aren't lined up right, back off slowly and make another try. I don't scare my wife anymore! I also don't scare myself! The second crash was hard to watch.

I am sure that once you went back and looked at this video again you saw that @ 1:50 there was a chunk of the stern missing on the starboard side corner just below the waterline of the Robalo. My guess is that it occurred when he struck the dock, not the sailboat. There is really no excuse for having poor control over a boat that size. In my opinion, the captain of the Robalo caused this simply because he was irresponsible and tried to leave the dock too quickly.

Man not to talk Chit but your right Alfred. First time Boaters should take a training course and even have a boaters license. I had to get mine for operating Airboats shouldn't be any difference with other boats. We always come across some really dangerous boaters that crosses our paths and puts us and our boat in harms way. . I don't know if it's the lack of expiriance or they just don't care but it seems to be the bigger the boat the more lack of concideration for the safety of others and their vessel. Just my observation when taking our boat out. We have to operate diffeneivly and offensively and think of the different ways to handle a bad senario as a boat is coming near treating every boater as a none expirianced boater.. Have to always be one step a head of the game to assure our safety and safety of others. And I get it, even expirianced boaters have their bad day or gets themselves in a hairy situation with their boats.. it happens to the best of us. Great Show Alfred.

He is unsafe at any speed. He and some others need an instrument that temporarily disallows engagement at anything over 3% power for DOCKING.

Dude, I’m Italian, in Italy you have to be 16 years old to run up to a 20hp, 18 you can go up to 40hp. Anything bigger you need a captain license, which is equivalent to a captain’s 6pack over here, but with a thorough on the water test, docking, man overboard, it’s an hour long and if you don’t pass, you’re stuck to a 40hp.
I think it’s insane that here some meat head can go buy a 400hp or 1000hp boat without ever being on the water and just go….. these idiots don’t even know that there are no brakes…… like the cabron in the video! Bro twice in one day?!?

operator actually has to see if you know, plus you need Insurance and finally you need to have a Towing contract for the year and finally the boat requires registration.

I would love to be on a boat with that captain! LMAO! he'd probably get stuck on the sand bar once they got off the dock. You need to put a GPS on that guy! I bet his wife is like, Chit! Here we go again! first, it was hooking the truck up the boat this morning, then it was launching the boat we hit a sailboat, then coming in we hit two docks. Can't wait to see him park the trailer at the house. Whoops, there goes the bedroom! Honey, I ran over your plants and I backed the back of the boat into the living room! I bet it's Non-stop!

I'd hate to be his insurance agent! One of the busiest ramps in Dade County and that's where he goes to learn? I feel really badly for the guy, not to mention his family. It could happen to anyone in a hurry or in panic mode. When I got my first "big" boat, I would practice backing down a hilly road with no traffic, nothing I could damage, and I learned how to get my boat into the water safely by using a local municipal fresh water lake. And I did it during the week when there was no one rushing me! I wound up giving that boat to my pastor and taught him and his family how to be responsible boaters on that same municipal lake. He caught me at a weak moment, but it was one of the greatest feelings I have ever felt. I'm hoping he'll put in a good word for me! By the way, there was so definite damage on the sailboat that was not easily seen or felt by the sailboaters. My hats off to them for how well they kept their cool! Love your channel, Alfred!

WOW, Is there no license required when getting over a certain horsepower or size of boat? He obviously didn't expect that throttle to be so touchy, and respond so quickly. One day of training would have likely saved him the embarrassment. First time out with a boat like that, I would make sure I had some training under my belt, especially if I was inviting family, and friends to come along. 😁😎👍✌

    The Cursed Robalo
When the new family purchased the house, the neighbors felt the need to let them know about it's history. They explained that a seemingly happy family had lived there for years. The husband had been a successful personal trainer and had some financial success in the early 2020s. Things took a drastic turn for the worst when the husband, against his wife's wishes, financed a Robalo in early 2021. She had been upset that he hadn't started with a smaller boat, and that he had cheated on his boater safety courses. The neighbors never knew what really happened, but they told the new family that they saw the Robalo leave the neighborhood one morning for it's maiden voyage. In the early afternoon, they saw the boat return. They watched the family unload the boat in silence, and the husband parked the boat in the backyard, out of view, and covered it. Over the next few months, crying, screaming, and yelling could be heard from within the house. Gradually, the front lawn went untended. The house began to decay, and the family acted more and more strange. They never saw the Robalo leave the property. One day, the family was just gone, and eventually the house was put up for sale.
The new family had gotten a great deal on the house, but it had it's share of issues. After meticulously restoring the house, and then the front yard, they shifted their attention to the backyard, where the grass was taller than a man. They were not that surprised when they uncovered the rusted trailer and tattered boat cover as they cleared the grass. There was no sign of the boat.
The new family lived happily ever after in the house, although every Memorial Day weekend, they would swear they could hear a woman yelling in the house.
No one really knows where the old family went. In the years after the voyage of the Robalo, they had withdrawn from social interactions. One neighbor had heard that the family moved to the desert, far from any bodies of water. Another said that the husband had been found dead, with the title to the boat lodged in his throat. But down at Blackpoint Marina, the oldtimers still speak of the boat. They say that sometimes, in the early summer, when the setting sun is just right, it appears near the boat launch. The Cursed Robalo will ferociously ram any sailboats in the area, then ping pong off of a dock, before plowing into another dock, and disappearing. The sailboats never suffer any damage, but their crew are always shaken up.
