It never ceases to amaze me how many people purchase a boat just because they can, but have no idea on how to operate it safely. Most people don’t bother to take any boater safety courses because they think they know it all. They think “HOW HARD CAN IT BE?” At my local lake yesterday I seen a guy almost rip his wife’s arm completely off when he threw it into reverse. She had the front tie line wrapped around her arm about four times, and he was coming in way too fast so he threw it in reverse and dragged her half way across the dock while almost ripping her shoulder out of her socket. Pulled her 10 feet across the dock and completely into the water. Make sure you’re absolutely comfortable with everything on any boat you’ll be operating. Take a boater operators safety course and practice, practice, practice. Go to a dock that’s not busy and keep practicing until you feel comfortable with launching and docking. Don’t try to become familiar with everything you need to know in one day. This has led to many people being severely injured and killed.

He lost most of his bite and control because his tilt was so high. Many new boat owners just don’t have any experience. At the very LEAST, get out there on a weekday and practice docking and small maneuvers over and over until you’re sick of it. Then do it again.
Ive launched at that ramp many times and the current can rip there and windy also. It can be tricky if ur not an avide or experienced boater. People really fight to load they're boats there it is entertaining for sure lol. But the only way to learn is experience and practice
The first thing an new boat owner must master is putting the boat on the trailer along with backing up the trailer into the water at the landing. PRACTICE

The kid is smarter than his parents. He straight up said “no”. I still have to go to school tomorrow and its gonna be on tiktok. My hero😂
What concerned me the most is that the young boy was watching to learn how to do this when he gets his first boat.
Wow, That was painful to watch! 😆 Love your vids bud. I kinda chuckle sometimes when launching one of my boats thinking “don’t end up on one of Credit Card Captains videos”!
You wanna have some real fun? Come over to Crystal River or Homosassa at the start of scallop season! More bad boater footage than you can shake a stick at!
Good work brother! Keep ‘em coming!
I'm not even a boater and I'm wondering how no one got hurt
It must not be as frustrating, when you already have no idea what you're doing.
I got so frustrated I went outside and backed my boat into a tree !!
There should be a definite mandatory course for boating.
You know you’ve screwed up when you get a solid 13 minutes…..
I luanched and trailer boats better at 15 when i was leaning. How do you make so many mistakes? How do you end up going into your trailer backwards?
This is a great exam ple of the Less family ( Help, Hope and Use) showing us all why some people should never be allowed close to anything mechanical.
Love seeing the Clampetts in action.
There are many talented and courteous captains in Volusia County, FL. However, they were not in this video! Classic video!
Reminds me of the time I launched my 22' sailboat in 20KTS of wind. Dad didn't tie off to the cleat and the engine died just as we came off the dock. I had to jump onto the dock before we got out of range and pull the boat in before it hit the rocks... Gosh that was exciting!
I wish you could interview some of these people so we could understand what they were trying to achieve...because sometimes I just can't figure it out .
The seal is likely gone on his bell crank. I've had this happen before, the shifting mechanism fills up with sediment making it extremely hard to select gears, you often over rev before it even goes into gear.
Larry, Curley, and Moe go boating! 🚣♂️
He lost most of his bite and control because his tilt was so high. Many new boat owners just don’t have any experience. At the very LEAST, get out there on a weekday and practice docking and small maneuvers over and over until you’re sick of it.
Then do it again.
Thumbs up for barnacle cleaning service
Ive launched at that ramp many times and the current can rip there and windy also. It can be tricky if ur not an avide or experienced boater. People really fight to load they're boats there it is entertaining for sure lol. But the only way to learn is experience and practice
The first thing an new boat owner must master is putting the boat on the trailer along with backing up the trailer into the water at the landing.
PRACTICE
Man. Watching this boater give me chill….everyone is a newbies but watch video and research before just going to operator a boat that size.
That was less Credit Card Captain and more Credit Card Boat Driver 😆
Red Shirt is as incompetent as the Credit Card Captain. A dangerous pair.
Good thing captain whiskey throttle was at the helm.
hot dogs and ice cream on the water, not to bad..lol
That was the scariest thing at a boat ramp i have ever seen.. standing on a slippery ramp holding the stern with the prop spinning!!!! Ohhhh my god
Awesome. People like this exist purely for our entertainment. Thnx.
My father always said that the best day's entertainment is when you pack a lunch and hang out at the closest launch ramp! How right he was!
I just thought is was a new way to load your boat on the trailer. BACKWARDS 😂🤣😂🤣
That was brutal to watch. I wanted to scream at that boat captain!!!
Looks like there's a lot of current near those docks. My dad could put a 42 ft boat in the slip prwtty near flawlessly every time... He grew up around and on boats. He likes nothing better than to go to the nearest cut (bridge) and watch boats try to make it through without bumping into the side of it.
I'm thinking new boater on a paupers budget that's why the boat looks like it's been used as a seagull/Pidgeon roost for a decade or two. The "mates" aren't exactly salty boaters either. Fun to watch tho. I could see that winch strap issue coming as soon as he hooked it with a "Full twist"! Ha ha.
