- Today, we are going to check out the Ring Wall Mount for Solar and Spotlight Cam or Stick Up Cameras. If you have setup or plan to setup your battery powered Ring Spotlight Cam or your Stick Up cam with Ring's Solar Panel, this mount will make the install cleaner looking and more integrated than installing separate mounts for the camera and the solar panel. We will see what is inside the package, do the installation and see if this mount is a worth it accessory for your Ring cameras.

Great info. Would be useful to have specs on the size of the bracket. ETA: looking around the internet, those specs are hard to come by. According to a response from someone from Ring on the Home Depot website, the size of the part that mounts to the all is 4 3/4" tall by 2 3/4" wide.

Hi thank you for the install help. Do you know how well this holds up against the rain?
I have used the Wyze spotlight for 2 months, I still wish it was installed into the camera.
So the ring cam is 1 step ahead
Would 1 batter be enough or should I buy an extra?
It still needs a ball and socket to adjust the position of the solar panel
I have questions does the solar panel really keep them charged I have 8 That I have linked together because I have a crazy neighbor problem I had another question but forget but how much is solar panel how well does the ring solar flood light does that always stay charged at all times as well I am thinking about getting some definitely getting solar panel tho how much for solar flood lights sorry about the questions

Any idea if this mount is compatible with the Ring Solar floodlight?
The mounting points is bigger on the floodlight..so it will not work.
How well does it actually charge? I've had some ring solar panels before and they SUCKED. I purchased aftermarket ones and they kept my unit charged so much better.
They charge mine no issues.it keeps the batteries topped off.
Can’t see any reason why I couldn’t use that on my Eufy
Ring’s solar panel doesn’t have 1/4 20 screw mount like all other panels. You have to modify this to work with other panels.

I don’t understand the need for a solar panel. It doesn’t take much time or effort to switch out the battery lol. It pops out and pops in fast and easy. Solar panel will only deteriorate and get dirty over time. It’s constantly charging the battery as well and from what I heard isn’t that bad for rechargeable batteries? They degrade and more than likely you will have to replace the battery because it won’t charge anymore? My batteries last a few months before I charge them.
It depends on your setup. If you installed this high up and needing a ladder everytime, then a solar panel would be less hassle. With 2 battery setup in my spotlight cam and with minimal activations, it actually last 4-5 months but this is more needed for the stick up cam which only has 1 battery and last around 2 months before needing to be recharged.
@@LifeHackster also some of us travel for work and need the battery to last, still looking for the best option, do you have videos on wired systems over battery?

Another thing is even if the came up with something is going to be hard for people to change back to ring.. Not even with their subscription
