    Update: My cameras are still going strong after a year and a half of use. I never have to mess with them, it's truly a plug-and-play system. Having the solar panels are a game changer, as they allow my system to stay active without me having to do anything. ( Just remember to first charge the battery inside your camera to 100% then plug the solar panel in. This will keep the battery topped off even with low-light conditions ) Overall great buy. If you guys have questions, please reach out.

    So I've had the camera's for a year or so. I don't like having to get the ladder set up (especially on my slanted driveway). I wasn't sure if the solar panel would work so I came to YT. Another fellow on here gave instructions for the spotlight camera but never mentioned the Stick Up camera and whether or not the solar panel would even plug into it. Even the ad on Amazon doesn't address the issue. BUT, came here and you answered that and any other questions that I had. Thank You so much for your video, you've made me into a subscriber!

      Not exactly sure how much movement as far as 45 degrees go, but camera itself is a wide lens so that helps. You can move the stand the camera hooks up to vertically and horizontally( more so horizontally).

      @BrendonTroy ปีที่แล้ว

      I spread silicone sealant on all my screws and around the brackets to create a water-tight seal because I don't like making holes into my siding / house without sealing them up. It's probably not the end of the world if you don't do this, but it makes me feel better and doesn't cost much money or time if I'm already going to be up on a ladder doing the installation. But you should research what product is best for your walls, climate, etc, before trying this yourself.

If the battery starts to go down then try to unplug and re plug the solar panel. If that doesn't work then I would exchange the solar panel for a new one. Hope that helps

    Hi there, I'm seriously thinking about solar. I have 3 stickup cams on my house, and I seem to be recharging every 2 weeks. Just put 1 on my other house, which is 10 miles away. So you can see my problem : ( . Even if I just put one on the house out in the valley, I would be happy..
    A thought.... if you look at the tv reports with a video of naughty boys, they all seem to look down hiding their faces.
    So I mounted them about head high..

      Chuck, I think it’s a good idea to incorporate solar panels to your security system. I installed my solar panels a little over a year ago and have never had to recharge my camera batteries yet. Quick Tip: Before you hook up the solar panel to the camera, make sure the camera is fully charged. This way the solar won’t have to work so hard and will keep the camera battery topped off.

      Hello Mike, As far as I know these cameras don't support a continuous live mode yet. They will more than likely ask you for your WI-FI password attached to the modem

    This panel can put out close to 100 watts th-cam.com/users/postUgkxOqI2yqX0XVrhR2BMJciTWrHJpG8FhJyg when positioned in the appropriate southernly direction, tilted to the optimal angle for your latitude/date, and connected to a higher capacity device than a 500. The built in kickstand angle is a fixed at 50 degrees. Up to 20% more power can be output by selecting the actual date and latitude optimal angle.The 500 will only input 3.5A maximum at 18 volts for 63 watts. Some of the excess power from the panel can be fed into a USB battery bank, charged directly from the panel while also charging a 500. This will allow you to harvest as much as 63 + 15 = 78 watts.If this panel is used to charge a larger device, such as the power station, then its full output potential can be realized.

    We ended up exchanging this model for the slimmer version th-cam.com/users/postUgkx0jZ_lGlDVJhDnmagEU8gn47cmfPNlLQU because it was too wide for the only door trim area that made sense to mount it on. However, we should have just noted the dimensions prior to purchasing. Otherwise, we love the doorbell. It works perfectly, and the video is very clear, even at night.
