Shell smash was definitely the best for me. Mindlessly grinding points back in the day like that was a total blast 😂

I think there's a minigame which is like poker, but you have five cards and you can trade 1-5 cards in your hand for new cards.

They already had to remove them from the European versions because it would mean an automatic 18 rating. Removing it from the international versions of HeartGold and SoulSilver, then leaving it out of all future games, was for international consistency.

That phyche card minigame just requires some unknown power. I got up to 40 at one point, but when I tried again, I never could get even close to that number.

I played that one a lot for some reason. I got up about 40 once as well, and often got up to around 15 to 20. Not sure why, really.
Nintendo is hiding something from us...

There is a trick, staring long enough, makes you see slightly through the card.

The multi player version of loves me is a really intense battle of wits no joke.

Super Mario: New Vegas is my favorite game.
Getting back at Luigi for hitting you in the head with the blue shell was so satisfying.
And don't even get me started on the casinos. Those are just perfect.
Ironically when this popped up into my notifications, I was already playing Super Mario 64 DS.

I used to have an unhealthy obsession with Picture Poker.
I loved playing the minigames from New Super Mario Bros! My fav one was probably Bom-Omb Reverse, since that is by far one of the most nostalgic minigames out of them all.
Mini games was a huge part of my childhood! My mom LOVED Pair a Gone! My favorite was psych out, but I agree with the fact that sometimes you can’t see through the card.
RIP poor little DS.. :(
As someone who just completed a Let's Play of New Super Mario Brothers with only Luigi, I can say that it was nice to revisit these fantastic gems. *Nice video!*

This video just brought back a wave of nostalgia for me. I remember playing these mini games all the time with my sister. It was so much fun!
Back in the days my absolute favorite minigame was Wanted. But I got to the point where I always found the wanted head and quit when I was in like level 250 or so... that was when I fell in love with Shell Smash, Slots Shot and the Luigi Casino games :)
I definitely agree about Bob-omb squad being the best minigame, especially about it being a *Blast* to play.

Sort or splode was by far my favorite, it was so satisfying to see all them collect in the end score screen

Picture Poker was by far one of the things I was addicted to the most when I was younger.

My sister got a score of 365 or 385 in wanted. My top score is like 25. I watched her do it when we were in the car I was so amazed as a kid.

This is very nostalgic to me, literally I remember that I bought SM64 DS for that sole purpose. I mostly spend about 2 hours a day on the cards side & Luigi taught me that things can be rigged and playing on multiplayer. I'm glad that someone did touch on the mini games because for me I thought it was underrated. Thank you for making me remember those good times.
So much nostalgia. I remember playing these mini games on both Super Mario 64 DS and New Super Mario Bros. I think some of my favorites as a kid were Wanted and Picture Poker. I also remember mostly playing Luigi’s gambling mini games and getting a ton of coins and stars.

Yes! Picture poker, god I wasted my childhood on that! in fact I opened the game a month ago, found that minigame again and boom another hour passed in the blink of an eye. Anyway, honestly great list tetra!
I always enjoyed the aesthetics of the Loves Me minigame, both in the visuals and the music. It just looks great. I wish I could get a screenshot of Yoshi on that rooftop with the sunset on a shirt.
Bob-Omb Squad was my favorite ! And Wanted was a close second.

Some of my favorites when I was younger were the multiple bouncing mario games, the shells on ice games, bomb-omb squad, the boo hide and seek, and wanted.

Jk jk. I had tons of fun with SM64DS/NSMB's minigames, especially being fond of Luigi's games. Picture Poker is awesome and Luigi Jack is just Blackjack and I love Blackjack.

The loves me game has a couple of small Easter eggs in it if you play it long enough. I always enjoyed it because of that.

Bob-omb Squad, Sort or 'Splode, Wanted, and Picture Poker were games that kept me entertained for hours. I love how Nintendo added the mini-games to 2 already great DS games.

Psyche Out was one of my favorite mini games in SM64 DS. I was (and still am) always a fan of the theme song.

WANTED is by far may favorite! I was so good at that game, I could sometimes find the wanted person before my friends had a chance to survey the whole screen 😂

That was my childhood! I couldn’t figure out what to do in the main game, I only got to the bombomb field and then got stuck there 😂 so i pretty much only played the monogames
The Loves me not minigame is really fun in multiplayer, you can pick 1 - 3 petals then pass the turn onto the next player, and you dont want to pluck the petal if its a love me not, but you gain a point if its love me. Needs planning ahead and you can really mess with your friends on it. This game entertained me and my siblings for a lonnnnnng time.

Some of these games improve a lot in multiplayer. Forget me not is a fun strategy game on who gets the good or bad flowers, and boo hunt is a great free for all with loads of Boos
