your videos are so reassuring, thank you so much - completely okay if you’re not sure (i’m just seeking any reassurance i can get right now), but do you think i have a chance of getting an interview at cardiff with a score of 2340, SJT B1? if it’s unrealistic, i may hold off until next year. thank you so much!!
Honestly I would recommend applying regardless, if you don’t apply you Deffo won’t get in, if you do you still have the chance. Cardiff only uses the UCAT if they needed to decide between 2 applicants with similar level applications, other than that they focus on the rest of the application so if you’ve got good grades it’s a good one to try. Also you’ve got a strong SJT so look into med schools that give a lot of points based on the SJT. Hope that helps :)
Hiya I got 2720 B2, GCSEs 998888877, predicted A*A*A dunno where to apply lol my UCAT isn't the best... I was thinking SGUL, Keele and maybe KMMS as a safe option but not sure..
Wow! You’ve got great grades! Not sure what the average UCAT is for this year, but if you’re not feeling confident in your score maybe apply for at least 2 medical schools that don’t have a minimum threshold cut off? If you don’t meet the minimum threshold for that specific medical school they don’t look at any more of your application which is really sad :( it’s sometimes difficult to find the minimum threshold for the current year as they are not always released but it can be good to go off the year before an indication… Let me know if I can help with anything :)
Fantastic grades! The UCAT is so so hard I struggled so much with it! I’ve actually got a video coming out tonight explaining all of your options and unis to apply to if you didn’t do as well as you’d hoped in the UCAT. I didn’t get in the first year due to my UCAT score but I’m going into second year now so don’t give up!
Not sure what the deciles are like for 2023/2024 but you've got a very good SJT so maybe apply focusing on that? Hull York, Edinburgh and King's all give higher points for higher SJT when selecting for interview. Make sure you check you meet the other requirements though (grades etc). Cardiff is also a good medical school to apply to if you're not happy with your UCAT. I got 2450 and got an interview with Cardiff, Liverpool and Hull York.
