ahh thank you so much for this video, it actually gave me so much hope! I am hoping to start biochemistry this september at kings but really wanted to get into medicine this year! I did the ucat this summer and got an average of 610 and really wanted to apply to kings but doing my research, they require a high ucat score! Any advice on how you went about the process would be incredibly helpful!
This is great! You can actually have the best of both unis sometimes - when I went to QMUL, this is of course in London and I also lived on campus 😊 (well in the first year).
Hi :) this is so informative! thanks ! If the medical school is new like QMUL in malta, which is not yet fully recognised by GMC, it is not recommended to go? As an international student, I am wondering whether I should not apply for not GMCed medical schools 🙏🏼
Ensure to do lots of research into university entry requirements & make sure you apply strategically. A few universities to name that have low UCAT cut off points in the UK. But, if you want to get admission in top medical university, you should have high UCAT score and academic grades. Well, I took my UCAT coaching from iCanMed and they helped to get admission in top university in the UK.
@@liyf2994 Here are some low ucat score universities for medicine: Aston University. Cardiff University. University of East Anglia. Hull York Medical School. Keele University. University of Leicester. University of Plymouth. Queen's University Belfast ALL THE BEST
I got UCAT avg 655 Band 1. I’ve had a look at Queenmary - they said they look at the UCAT as 50:50 with academic ability? I’ve got all A* in my grades and 1st class in my first degree. There is also Kings which look at the application holistically and SJT is used in the selection process. Do you think I have chance at either?
This is very helpfullll I see you got into Kings I want to apply there too but my ucat is low how did you get in with a ucat that wasn't that high???? Great video :)
Hi I’m in year 12 right now I got good GCSE scores with 8’s in triple science a 7 in math but I am really worried about English language as I got a grade 5. A lot of universities require a grade 6. What should I do? 😭
honestly this is SO helpful never seen a video that goes into so much detail!
Love thisss - especially hearing your own process when choosing unis - super useful :)
Thank you!!

Do you think I could get an interview at KCL with a score of 2550, all 8/9s at GCSE, predicted A*AA and quite a good PS? Thanks!
I’d say that’s a good application but I really don’t know as I’m not an admissions tutor!
Did you apply in the end? How did it go?
I can't believe i'm only seeing this now😫😂
Please advice on which uni to apply with average UCAT score?

Aw I’m not 100% sure. Remember you can only apply to 4 med schools so maybe choose ones that don’t focus on GCSE’s? X
@@DrTashBinnie oh thank you do u know any by chance that don’t because I looked into quite a lot and I couldn’t find any x
