Yes, very hard to see what you’re doing with most of the weapon out of view, especially if the viewer doesn’t know how to operate it in the first place.
Thanks for the video. I just bought an AR. It’s my first rifle. I’ve had a 9mm for decades. Even though the guy at the gun shop went over it with me your video is very helpful before I head to the range. Also, I’m lucky I live in a friendly state.
Going to the range tomorrow graduating from handguns to rifles decided to shoot the M&P 15 sport 2 for my first rifle I’ve ever to shot thank you for this video feeling more confident now
My man, very detailed video thank you! My father inlaw and I just got 2 Sig M400 that were former police service rifles. Never owned one buy couldn't pass up on the price. This video helped a ton! I was able to manipulate the rifle in every way. There really wasn't any part in wasn't familiar with cause of the video. That's a bummer about theb10 round limit in your state. I'm in Colorado and we are getting close to that ourselves. Thank you again for the very informative video
A great, simple beginner video on the AR. Thanks for posting this. If I may offer a tip for solo video recording. Once your camera position is set, place a small reference marker in the center of the frame, on the surface you are recording. Doing this allows you to keep the subject centered in the viewing frame.
I can't watch this video, I had to stop halfway and come down to the comment section to see if I was the only one who noticed he wasn't watching his set, I can't believe he released this video in this way. I've never used an AR 15, getting ready to make my first purchase from PSA, and was looking forward to enjoying this video.
Thanks for watching and I agree this wasn’t filmed as good as I would have liked. I did a remake - please check it out on the channel - it’s the newest video and much better viewing angles. I hope it helps
Superb video! Well iam finally getting my first Ar-15 I have about a thousand dollars what AR-15 do you suggest?oh bye the way I live in ny only allowed ten round clip.Gun shops around here are not happy with Kathy houchul.
@@jacksoncornbreadmcbride6763 as a gun owner in Poland US laws impact the situtation on the market. USA has the biggest civilian gun market. If the laws in the US are getting more strict it will reduce the amount of guns which are being manufactured, leading to higher prices and shortages. Also if American citizens will not have access to guns it can weaken the USA and lead to internal conflicts. USA is the only country that by being strong ensures Poland's safety. Also if I want to learn more about guns etc I need to rely on the American content. That's why I follow daily the US laws and politics.
@@Swiwelec how many guns do you need to buy? 😂 Also, gun availability for citizens doesn't make the USA stronger or weaker. That's the silliest thing I've read in a long time. Poland and the USA are good allies, Poland has nothing to worry about. 🇵🇱🇺🇸
Thanks for acknowledging that the forward assist is useful in combat. It wasn't designed for guys hunting deer or tin cans. It was designed for guys hunting Viet Cong.
I just recently purchased an Anderson Rifle AM15 Optic Ready. It looks like yours but does not have an M4 front sight, just a piece with top rails and no front sling mount. Can you give me suggestions how I can install a sling mount?
May I suggest you install mlok rails or picatinny rails and install the sling that way. It makes it so you can quick detach faster than that sling ring you see on this particular rifle.
I don't know if this is.... let's say advisable 1:32. A barrel chambered for 5.56 is fine shooting both 5.56 and .223. Barrels chambered for .223 CAN shoot both, but I don't think it's recommended to shoot 5.56 out of them, apparently even more so for older rifles. I know most people say you can't shoot 5.56 out of a .223 chamber, but that's not technically correct. From what I know, and that's not a lot, best practices say you shouldn't be firing 5.56 out of a .223 chambered barrel. Probably a good idea to stick with that idea for long term usage. Don't think I would be suggesting either chambered barrel can accept either round though. Just my opinion based on research, don't shoot me. I still gave you a thumbs up.
I know it's somewhat controversial , but ... ... the way I understand it : IF ... a firearm is labeled 5.56 mm, then you can utilized both 5.56 × 45 mm or .223 Remington. IF ... the firearm is labeled. 223 Remington, then you should 0NLY fire .223 Remingtom ammo ! The logic in this is that the 5.56 mm operates at considerably higher chamber pressures, than the .223 Remington was designed to operate at. You're correct though, some shooters ignore this and interchange both ways. The .223 Rem. produces less velocity than the 5.56 mm.
Yes, if the charging handle is not locked back and exposing the chamber. Just insert a loaded magazine until it clicks. Then pull the charging handle all the way back and let go. The bolt will push and chamber the ammo without the need to push the bolt release. But I prefer to lock the bolt back and then insert the magazine then I push the bolt release it makes it easier to load a full 30 round magazine with the bolt locked back.
The opposite of what he said about the ammo compatibility is true Do not shoot a 5.56 out of a 223 chambered rifle It’ll not end well But you can shoot both on a rifle chambered for 5.56
Thanks for the video. Random question, I just purchased a S&W M&P 15 AR and when I lock the bolt open, the charging handle is really loose and slides back and forth just from moving the gun around even though the bolt is locked open. @5:11 in your video, you locked the bolt open and moved the gun around, but your charging handle didn't slide around. Is there something wrong with my AR or is there something I am overlooking? Thanks.
This is intentional design of all AR 15's. I own a Ruger SR556 and another I custom build and they both do this and is completely normal. Nothing is wrong with your AR. If it bothers you just push the charging handle back in and that will stop the rattle.
Would have been a great video had the weapon been in full view the entire video. Many times you could barely see what you were doing to the weapon. Bad camera set up

To make it more clear and safer, you can shoot 223 out of a rifle chambered in 5.56 but never shoot 5.56 out of a rifle chambered in 223.
