Hey brother thanks for checking this out I've been a fan of theirs for a while now this is really deep I've not heard it in quite a while but you'll like it it's really deep.
Hey Brother so glad you checked this song out. Amazing song, amazing band. Also, sorry to hear about some of your family, I’ve been through a lot of the same. Prayers for you and your family.
My friend, you have stepped into the alternate world of red dirt country...this isn't Nashville type country, which is more formulaic and established. Red dirt country is raw, realistic, and sometimes rough around the edges. Not as produced...and the followers of red dirt welcome you!!!
"STONE" is another good one!!! It's a shame that this type of backwoods music don't get awards or not played on the radio... But i believe they are getting more popular!!!!!❤
This is kind of a true story. The time-out on 155 is in Tyler, TX. It's an "adult club". Not sure if it's still there. And there is a huge Meth problem in that there. That's what the song is about...
I lived in Tyler from 88-96.. Spent many a night in Time out. I worked at Kilos Beer and Wine in Coffee City and would stop in for a beer on my way home. Meth has been around for a long time.. Or speed as we called it in the 80s
@@Duke_2373 lived in Athens, Kaufman, Mabank, Payne Springs, and Trinidad for a large portion of my life! Had a wild night at the motel in coffee City in my younger days!😅
We walk in the same shoes brother, watched my son slip away, almost 5 years ago, and the questions will always linger. Why and what if? This song has touched so many lives, its real.
I see it as a glimpse of a relationship. They grew up together, spending time on 'daddys land', whether they had a close relationship or not, he wanted more and she had other plans. Tale as old as time, but to see her fall into such a dark path while he moved on but still caught glimpses of her as time passed. Heartbreaking, raw, soulful and somber.
Polo I was in love with a girl for many years with unreturned feelings. I I told her but didn’t chase her. You can’t turn feelings off. If I knew how I’d have done it. Great song. I think the best country songs are often the most brutal. Life is awesome but can also be incredibly hard and those songs are so relatable. Really enjoy your channel
Great reaction brother all the one's I had mentioned are a lot like this because they do have powerful messages and paints a vivid picture of addiction.
Been a fan since their first album. They have really blown up and grown alot as a band over the years. Cody Canon on vocals and harmonica. They as well as their fans will tell you...they are a rock band. So many hits its hard to pick a favorite. 🤘🔥🤘
It's the thing of watching her slip away from being so popular and have all the world going for her and just wanted to fix her when she fell, that's the same type story line of She by Jelly Roll
Love this song❤ My Farther loved Hank Williams Jr. He has now passed 😢 so this hits hard for me😊 Thank you Polo, Love you and your reactions and your channel 😅 Can you please jam SRV (RIP) WILLY THE WHIP. LIVE 1988, HE WAS SO HAPPY😂 IN HIS GLORY DAYS❤ ROCK ON MY FREIND💯✌️🤟
My brother struggled with addiction for years and was found dead Friday morning. I wish more people could find a better way to deal with a tortured soul.
This song makes me quite emotional. As someone who's seen friends and family struggle with addictions. It hits hard. I don't listen to it as much as I should.
Hello Polo, This song didn't give me goosebumps or anything 🎉❤ OMG 😮😊 I Think every family has this DES/ EAZE!!! SOMEONE IS HURTING, PLEASE BE KIND😇 LOVE YOUR CHANNEL, AND YOU🥰
POLO , Rickie Lee Jones, sing a hauntingly ,eerie track , the last chance Texico , it's sparse like a Desert , its awesome and hits depths , it's extraordinary . Ric
Baker Street by Gerry Rafferty 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🤗 Please 🙏🏼 You will love it! (I've never asked before because i didn't think we could suggest songs through comments section. Until I read your comment now. Thank you Polo 🤗 I have been enjoying your poignant reactions for a while ✌🏼 (the rand/dollar exchange is still crazy stupid so it may be a while before i get you that coffee 😭😭😭😅))
Greetings...I got a nice one for you to react to. I.G.Y. by Donald Fagen, from the group Steely Dan. One of my all time favorite groups, along with EWF and Barry White's orchestra.
The way I see this song, a guy that is really good friends with this girl, maybe grew up playing together as children, that wants more but knows he doesn't have the resources to take care of her and letting her do her own thing.
I live close to hwy 155 and timeout was a strip joint. Not a gentlemen’s club, a strip club and East Texas is meth ridden for sure. It’s sad. Just about everyone I know has dealt with a drug addiction and it sucks.
Is dated a woman for 4 years before I found out she was taking pills because of bipolar and sociopath disorders. She stopped taking that and was a million percent a different person
Totally new to me, musically reminds me of Blue Rodeo.. but vocally Blue Rodeo is superior. Five Days in May. Git sum ps.. i'm from the cleveland too.. so happy i found your channel.
I enjoy this genre of music but not this song. The harmonica seems off key. It doesn't leave room for me to validate the lyrics... It is Melody for me. It is the instrumental that should be able to communicate the meaning without lyrics. This is a played out, sentimental tearjerker.
Man, I’m struggling with this song. On one hand, it’s an incredible song. on the other, I can’t stand his accent. I’m just not a fan of the extreme hick sound.

As their merch says "Whiskey Myers is a rock band".
@michelleliberman5493 maybe so...but they're the countriest rock band I know...
@@jameskeatts6874 I saw them back in May and they were fantastic
I have not been able to see them yet (missed out on a show in Gruene a while back), but I am gonna catch em sooner or later...
Gotta watch some Cody jinks
"STONE" is another good one!!! It's a shame that this type of backwoods music don't get awards or not played on the radio... But i believe they are getting more popular!!!!!❤
Southern rock at its best. I’ve never heard this before. I’m fixing to go down this hole
If you haven't already checkout "Die Rockin" such a great song with a throwback feel
It's said that county music is 3 chords and the truth.
Texas/red dirt country.
I love watching rap fans listen to country especially outlaw country and beautiful songs like this one.
This song touched me in ways I wasn't expecting. I will definitely add to my playlist.

Still there but I don’t think it’s open
@@Duke_2373 It is closed down now. With Covid happening it just never opened back up.
Bro I swear to god you react to the songs that are my favorite when they are my favorite at that moment.
A very powerful song.

Exactly what it is! A true story about a guy the lead singer knew and a girl he was in love with.

This band is great live...more cowbell.😅 Thanks Polo
Tony Kent on that cowbell!!!
If you like that, you should try "She Talks To Angels" by the Black Crowes, same subject matter, but insane voice and music.
I love your real review. Always interesting to hear other peoples connections to songs. You gained a new subscriber.
Such a great song.
It’s just authentic, no other way to describe it
I love your breakdown. I’ve had all the questions but I get his sentiment
Just check out any of Their Music can't go wrong!!
I have a song that will give you chills. At least it does me every time I hear it. Marty Robbins performing the song The Masters Call.
Absolutely.
Fire reaction man 🔥 that whole album is 🔥

sorry for your loss
Ballad of a Southern Man, Stone, and Frogman, all need reacted to if you liked this and all different and great.
One of my favorites. Incredible.
This was very good. I probably would not have ever listened to this if I hadn't seen it on your channel. 😎
Very laid back track. It reminds me of the Canadian band Blue Rodeo. Especially the song '5 Days in May'.
This song makes me quite emotional. As someone who's seen friends and family struggle with addictions.
It hits hard. I don't listen to it as much as I should.
This song is so heartbreaking. I took myself off this path a long time ago, but watched too many of my friends reach the end.
Great song
I know these guys. The Timeout on 155 is/was about 35-45 minutes from my house.
The Timeout Gentlemen’s Club is an actual club in Tyler, TX off of 155 south.
Subbed after this
Little side note, if you had heard of tthunderstruck with Angus Young lead guitar duck walks is actually was done by chuck barry
This is a song I like to listen too at 1 in the morning very loud after drinking for the last 5 hours 😂
You should listen to Stone. I take it to be the story of our beautiful Mellenials! ❣️😊
Reminds me of Drive By Truckers
It is very southern gothic like DBT for sure

I don't know what she was pretty or not but her Daddy's land sounds beautiful.😮😂😂
Kind of a Bob Dylanish type.
Except Whislkey Myers writes... ya know... good songs where as Dylan is really $#itty at writing....and singing.... and playing guitar....
I was thinking the same thing
Check out Red Clay Strays "Im still fine".......
Should check out Paul Caufen -Cocaine Country Dancing or Country AsFuck
What’s the intro and outro song called?
Please check out the band Rival Sons
