Heard this song 2 days after I lost my best friend to a heart attack. We had some great times and he had a wild side but he loved his church and God. This song fit perfect. Too perfect to the point I couldn’t hold it in. I still tear up when I hear it and always will. Miss you Dennis
This song goes to a whole new level and gives me goosebumps everytime when he says I was there when you raised your hands head bowed saying just as I am walking that aisle saying that prayer”
Lost my brother years ago, never cried about it, I’m just not a big crier. When hardy performed this live earlier this year when I saw him, I bawled my eyes out the whole song. Don’t know what hit me, mans just got a way to make you feel it
Ahh man I never cried. I joined the military and having the built up stress and emotions the best thing is to just let it go. You will feel soooo much better after
As you say, I love how this video depicts his friends reminiscing about the good times they had together and celebrating his life even through their grief and loss. I find Hardy to be a phenomenal songwriter/storyteller - I always love the little word twists or poetical phrasing I find in his songs. I could tell this was hitting you hard - I hope the time you spend thinking about your friends who have passed will bring a smile to your face and comfort to your heart with the memories.
This song means a lot to me. This video was a masterpiece, for sure, coupled with the relatable lyrics. Cry and laugh, all the emotions brought together in one short span. One of my best friends and father figure for many years passed away from cancer about 15 years ago. We (like hardy himself) shared a deer hunting camp, which is where we bonded. I'm also to this day great friends with his sons. This song and video bring me back to memories of time spent with him and other lost loved ones. It's a perfect description and a privilege to be able to memorialize him, all because of this masterpiece... ok I guess I'll stop now.
Love this reaction. No one else out there is as genuine. I believe if this song grabs someone, it grabs them hard. But what I think is awesome is how he paints a picture of how the people we miss are up there having the time of their lives, doing things they loved down here. Kinda comforting. Thanks so much for doing this song. Appreciate you.
I've listened to this song countless times. But this is the first time I've heard it since my husband died 2 weeks ago. Makes me think of the fun we had, especially in our early years. Thanks 😊 Laughing and crying
That’s why I love country music the good songs have the ability to make a grown man cry and think about life they tell a story. Love your reactions bro
Those really good songs will hit you like a truck because there’s just something about them that feels real like there’s a connection to the person singing it like they get it too and they put words to a feeling you’ve all had before
I am so sorry to hear that. I would love for you to listen to our bands new music video. It is about that exact scenario. Amahjra - Brighter in the Dark.
7:28 my dads funeral was pretty much a party. Everyone was laughing/crying at stuff we did cause it reminded them of how he’d love it. We didn’t do any hymns during his service cause he wasn’t an organized religion person. He was religious but didn’t like churches telling him what to believe. Instead of hymns we played songs he loved and sang along. He was a fan of Lone Ranger so after his graveside service my brothers and I hid a small music player and started playing the theme as we all walked away from the gravesite. Sure brought a smile to our mom’s face cause we were acting like him. 10:57 loved the little thunder and lightning scene at the end like he was giving them hell up in heaven.
I lost my cousin about a month ago to a 45 to his head. Can’t finish this song without crying. He was such a good person but the demons inside all of us got to hard for him and it took his life. Great reaction man.
Yeah, that describes my grandpa that died two years ago and he’s always been there for me whenever as in white top and it made me really sad and I started to cry and I started to think of him when I heard the song and I want that song to be playing at my funeral I’m not going to my funeral because it reminds me of my grandfather that’s in heaven right now, but he was wild. He acted I he need to go to hell, but he went up to him because he had amazing Grace
I lost my step father in June of 23 few months ago to cancer. And this song hits hard. He was a saint an a devil at the same time. I'm in tears cause well I know he doing just that. 30 years plus he has been in my life I'm 40 now. So that says alot to that man. I hold his ashes on his truck that was given to me I drive it everywhere But I miss him alot but I'll see him again
This is my favorite song. I can relate almost this entire song to my grandfather who I lost 2 years ago while we were up at our hunting camp. This has become the number one song that makes me think about him. He died from pulmonary edima while me, my father and my 2 cousins were trying to save him. It was a horrific day but my grandfather passed surrounded by some of his closest loved ones in his favorite place on earth. We counted almost 200 people at his funeral. The man lived life on the wild side with no regrets and I can’t wait to see him again some day
Lost my best friend, fraternity brother & best man to MS a little over 5 years ago. I've seen Hardy 3 times (so far, #4 in Houston this month) and this gets me every time.
This reminds me if my brother and his wake. We talked about fun times. His friend's were just as crazy. The scene where is walking to the front of the church with his friend who died. One second they are together and then he is walking up without him. Killer cinematography
Everytime i’ve seen him live and he plays this song it never fails to see people breaking down during it. This song is hard to listen to for me but it’s such an incredible song that brings such bittersweet feelings.
Just lost a close friend right after this song came out and still hurts to hear it to this day. Rip brother, lord knows you died too young. Give heaven some hell!
So glad you're doing this! It really pulls the right strings! He is a MASTER of Lyrics!!!!!.... I Love watching you JAM!... I'm right there with you!... So Clever!... He is a Master Lyricist! Awesome react!... I Broke up too!
I think his song "Drink one for Me"is the part 2 of this song.Hes singing to his buddy n this song, and n drink one for me,his buddy is singing down to his friends from up n heaven!!The songs just go together.Just luv Hardy!!
One of my good friends passed away a couple of years ago. I hadn’t cried since her funeral, and then one day this song came on (I had heard it before) and for some reason I just thought of her and cried on my way to work. He is such a talented writer and story teller.
Seeing this live performance was hands down a life altering moment for me. Hardy is my favorite, this song is a frequently skipped one on my rounds because it jerks me a little too hard, i lost both papaws and my brother... Saw Hardy live this past weekend, 14k people, arms up screaming along, i think every single person on that arena was shedding a tear or more for that song. There was even a second of complete silence, it shook the ground. Hearing this for the first time messed me up for days, hearing this at unexpected times over the past year shook me to my core every time.... But seeing him perform it live was unlike anything i can describe. It was literally magic.
Me and my cousin/brother went to 3 funerals together in 1.5 months for our family members. 2 months Before everyone passed he lived with me for years so I traveled the 8 hours to our hometown where he went back to finally get his last 2 college credits to move back with me we went to 3 funerals together in that 1.5 month time frame 2 weeks later I was back home putting him to rest after he laid his bike down and slide into the front bumper of a semi truck after he hit a huge gravel spot. This song dropped on TH-cam 4 hours after he hit the semi truck. I listened to it nonstop until I got home
Ya know Hardy’s song Drink One for Me is like the perspective of this guy that passed away looking back down on his buddies. Hardy is just so freakin talented.
I remember hearing this song for the first time. I cried for hours. It still makes me tear up every time I hear it. In high school I remember coming home after a shift at Burger King and finding my brother hanging from the tree in our backyard. I remember cutting him down and holding his cold purple body in such a state of shock I held his head to my chest and prayed for god to take me instead. No one seen it coming. But we were living in a toxic household with drug addicted parents. It led me to a 12 year opiate addiction as well and I didn’t want to live anymore. I’m 30 years old and 5 years sober I still struggle with survivors guilt. And it’s really hard to not relapse sometimes. He wasn’t just my brother he was my best friend and he was all I had. I wish I could’ve saved you brother I love and miss you
I wish there were words that I could convey to help alleviate your pain, but unfortunately those words don't exist. Reading this has ripped my heart out of my chest 💔 I lost my brother to a similar way(he ended it with a g*n) and I found him. It was seven months after losing our sister, an unforgettable experience that forever changed my life. It was completely unexpected. I wish he would have talked to me and let me know how much he was struggling. No one deserves to feel the way our brother's did, and no one deserves to live through the hell we've endured. I do, however, know they're up there giving "heaven some hell" Sending so much love to you. ❤
Thank you for doing this!! The video is incredible!! I have the cd with this song on it in my car right now. It’s the only cd I’ve had in my vehicle since I bought both.
There's not a single time I hear this and don't have stuff in eyes. Makes me think of a good, good friend that went way too soon, and the few REAL friends you manage to hang onto for decades.
I had been listening to Hardy for a few years before this came out. This song solidfied my love for his music. It rocks when you need it to rock, and helps you mourn when youve got someone on your mind. So glad it did the same thing for so many others! Rock on!
Hardy is so amazing, freaking love him!! He's got a way with words that touches your soul!! I lost my daddy in 2008❤ much love and respect Fishtank!!! 😊
I love it at the end of the video with the thunder rolling as they was carrying the casket from the church - "Make some thunder make 'em wonder how you got in"
Dude, I’m so glad you did this one. When I bumped into you at the concert I wanted to tell you about this song to do a review. It came out on the anniversary of a very close person to me passing. It’s amazing.
My best friend lost her husband, who was like a brother and sister to me, and this song described him perfectly. Came out just before he passed, almost like god knew.
This was the main song for my best friend that died a little over two years ago and I’m just now getting to the point where I can listen to it and not cry. He was one of the absolute best people I’ve ever had in my life. RIP Coop 🫶🏼
Give heaven some hell is for the living perspective of losing someone, I’d recommend, “drink one for me” as a follow up because it puts the perspective from the other side of the story as one leaving.
This is the song I dedicated to my mother in law. She battled cancer for 2 years. She was so wild.. went to the bar three days before she passed and guys were throwing her beers all night
Always love your reactions!! I look forward to them weekly. You always do a great job at breaking every song down from the first to last line, very enjoyable! It's a bonus when it's anything HARDY!! 🤘🏼🤘🏼
You should have such a bigger following been watching you for so long now! I’m a country and rock listener! Music is how deal with life! I try to explain how I feel through lyrics most of the time and this song has always made me cry and with the medical issues I have and being in a place where I could die young I always ask please blast this loud enough I can hear it up there one more time!!!
And exactly I don’t want people to be sad at my funeral be sad but throw one hell of a party to celebrate the loud fun crazy person that I was! I don’t wanna look down and see everyone just crying
I lost my friend that was like a brother to me on September 7th 2024 to a house fire I heard this song like a month later and I was in tears and still every time this song comes on I get emotional
Just lost my best friend. Listen to heavens front porch by flatline. Danny wrote this song knowing his time was coming and it's just an overall amazing song. Tear jerker for sure
Same same! I love this song. If I go before my mom, won't she be surprised (appalled) to find this on the list of songs I want at my funeral? She thinks it's sacreligious and I get a giggle out of getting a little rise out her. But it's so very me... and I want people to remember me in life. Not perfect, not by a very, very long shot. But a good, imperfect, person saved by amazing grace. ❤✝️
🔥reaction. Thanks for being real with it 🥹 Now you should follow up with Hardy’s Drink One For Me. It’s from his friend’s perspective. Great song. Great lyrics. Thanks!!! 🙏🏾😎
This whole song makes me think of a quote that I heard about real and fake friends. If you want to know who your true friends are, ask yourself "Who would be sitting at my grave talking to me for hours if I was gone tomorrow?" Just let that one sink in.
Another soulful and emtional musician to check out is Beth Hart: "Am I the One" live at The Paradiso (2004) "Caught Out in the Rain" live at The Royal Albert Hall (2018) "I'd Rather Go Blind" with Joe Bonamassa live in Amsterdam. The Beth Hart rabbit hole is filled with so much talent from so many highly talented musicians. Thank you for your candor and enthusiasm.
I feel like he wrote this specifically about my baby brother!!! Great great song!! What'd you think of him in concert? I've seen him twice and have tickets for 2 more shows this year!!!
Hey Fisch Settling in on a Saturday night Haven't seen you in a while This is me doing a reaction to your reaction vid Totally cool that y'all don't pretend Nice disclaimer that you seen a Hardy show🤘🏻🤘🏼
Songs like this are why he won so many awards last year. Hardy is a beast.
YES!!!! Amen! That part gets me EVERY TIME!

Same thing happened to me. Crazy how hard it hit me!
Same, lost my brother in 2002 and this song destroys me
Ahh man I never cried. I joined the military and having the built up stress and emotions the best thing is to just let it go. You will feel soooo much better after
Me Too , from suicide
My brother Zach died November 1 of last year, this song brings me peace, too.
Hardy is the best he will go down in history in so many ways proud of him and how he ain’t afraid to speak the truth
Hardy is why I keep coming back to you
YOU are the best Podcaster I've ever listened to !! You have heart , soul , and you're just amazing ! Thank you for your thoughts ! ❤

This song makes me cry. Every, single, time. RIP Jason Wright, Give heaven some hell brother
This song reminds me of my dad I lost him Dec 6 2021. It helped me so much I love this song
My grandfather I lost last I always think of the times I had with him
Sorry to hear that

Woo back on the Hardy train!!
This song makes me think of my husband. He was a hell raiser for sure but had a heart of gold and loved everyone. Now I’m also thinking of my dad. 😢😢❤
Love this reaction. No one else out there is as genuine. I believe if this song grabs someone, it grabs them hard. I lost a newborn son when he was 6 hours old. That was in 2006. It hurt as much today as the day he passed. I know my mother is spoiling him.
I am so sorry to hear that. I would love for you to listen to our bands new music video. It is about that exact scenario. Amahjra - Brighter in the Dark.
God bless you ❤😢
Signed Sober You is also a great HARDY song
He’s reacted to this one.
@@avall81 Oh my bad, I’ll have to go and watch it

Hardy man your so special ❤ your music 🎵 amazing
The way they show it like you said the good times and not just pain is exactly how I’d want it to be when I go
HARDY is something special, first time listening to this song while watching the music video made me cry. Such beautiful lyrics.
Hardy has a beautiful way in the way he tells/sings his music. He’s making history!
Amazing song, video and reaction Fisch! Hardy has a way of making us feel and reflect (like Nolan Taylor). So thankful for music.
That is for sure :) your fischbowl turned red :)
@@FischtankProductions sure is!!! Two plus months or is it three now? Love being a member of this amazing community.
To me that last shot represents this person giving heaven some hell as the song says, its storm I'm the heavens, a ruckus, or an uproar even
Me and my cousin/brother went to 3 funerals together in 1.5 months for our family members.

More HARDY! These reviews are awesome, keep it up!
Love this song
Awesome song from him as always!
You nailed it when you said even if you don't like country, you can relate to this song big time
I had been listening to Hardy for a few years before this came out. This song solidfied my love for his music. It rocks when you need it to rock, and helps you mourn when youve got someone on your mind. So glad it did the same thing for so many others! Rock on!

I love it at the end of the video with the thunder rolling as they was carrying the casket from the church - "Make some thunder make 'em wonder how you got in"
Thanks for sharing your reaction man. I just lost my friend who was also my captain and this song helped me so much get through the time of mourning.
Dude, I’m so glad you did this one. When I bumped into you at the concert I wanted to tell you about this song to do a review. It came out on the anniversary of a very close person to me passing. It’s amazing.
Best reaction video Fischtank!
❤ your reaction and vulnerability
My best friend lost her husband, who was like a brother and sister to me, and this song described him perfectly. Came out just before he passed, almost like god knew.

Give heaven some hell is for the living perspective of losing someone, I’d recommend, “drink one for me” as a follow up because it puts the perspective from the other side of the story as one leaving.
One of his most underrated yet in my opinion best songs is A Rock. Genius song writing
This song is the reason he wrote “Radio Song” because certain stations wouldn’t play this song due to “Heaven” and “Hell” in the same sentence.

Dang, I wasn't ready for that one. We played this song at my father in laws funeral. Such a beautiful song.
Just lost my best friend. Listen to heavens front porch by flatline. Danny wrote this song knowing his time was coming and it's just an overall amazing song. Tear jerker for sure

I love drink one for me on his new album. Cuz it’s the reverse side of his buddy up there saying he can hear em and is looking down on em.
One thing I find interesting is how this songs sounds just like screen
"Just As I Am" was my altar call hymn. I accepted Christ as my Savior very young, so I waited a few years to be baptized.
One of my closest friends was 4 years older than me. He passed last month and i havent seen him in so long.
This song was played at my uncles funeral. He died at 22 from suicide. Holds a lot of meaning to me.
Hardy is an unbelievable song writer. Wait in the Truck and he wrote God's Country.
The day I heard this song for the first time was 2 days after my best friend died. Had to pull over on the highway and cry.
Anyone else notice when he says "cant believe you got me in a suit and tie" but he isn't wearing a tie?
Love the reactions!
I love your heart. I enjoy your video's so much. You are my kinda guy bro.
🔥reaction. Thanks for being real with it 🥹
Now you should follow up with Hardy’s Drink One For Me.
Have you checked out Tim McGraw Standing Room Only?
Never heard that quote before but I really love it
Another soulful and emtional musician to check out is Beth Hart:
"Am I the One" live at The Paradiso (2004)
"Caught Out in the Rain" live at The Royal Albert Hall (2018)
"I'd Rather Go Blind" with Joe Bonamassa live in Amsterdam.
I feel like he wrote Drink One For Me off his new album as kinda like a part 2 too this song.
we lost my uncle earlier last year and this songs reminded me so much of him im choking up just writing this its still an open wound for me :(
