- The Blue River (Kali Biru) is the brightest shade of blue we have ever seen for a river! Join us today as we travel by car and longboat, forge a jungle river under the canopy full of Birds of Paradise, and briefly hike through the jungle to find ourselves at a bend in the Blue River. It is truly a spectacular place to visit. The water is cold, clear, and definitely blue. We spend hours playing here and wrap it up with lunch. Then, we climb back into the longboat to seek out the amazing Wewali cascading waterfalls! Baby Forest falls asleep here, while Granite and Cedar spend this time jumping off the waterfalls. Everyone kept saying, “You have to visit Blue River!” No one prepared us about what to expect or how much we would love it! If you are in Raja Ampat and need a day off from scuba diving or playing in the saltwater, be sure to visit Blue River. This video will show you what to expect. Your kids will love it, too!

The Blue River is an amazing destination in Raja Ampat. A truly beautiful wonder.
I think the limestone underneath the river and clear water create the bluish color. It's a tranquil place to visit, like a private spot.

i've just noticed this video, one of the most viewing one after the labuan bajo ... This is great! since there are not many foreign youtubers visiting this area, it is still "in their wishlist" though. I can not imagine travelling to the east of indonesia with three kids, i mean definitely this is not a comfy travelling compare visiting bali or big cities. Even there are not many indonesians visit this place with their families, usually group of adult travellers.
We feel very fortunate for the opportunities we have had travel in Indonesia 🇮🇩. There are so many wonderful people and places. :-)

Wow! The water is amazing!! I believe the colour is due to limestone mixing with natural minerals giving it a lovely blue hue. I may be wrong though as I'm not a scientist...😂😁
