- Yogyakarta, Indonesia - On today's adventure we head to the largest Buddhist temple in the world! Borobudur is located in Yogyakarta and a must see if you are in the area! Learning about the history while taking in the beautiful landscapes was incredible! Afterwards we head to Prambanan temple to finish the day and once again we were blown away! This was another great day spent in Indonesia!

The salak lady was actually nice
because she sort of let Shelbs to grab a couple
from a batch that was actually more pricey. She went " itu ga boleh, itu beda harganya" -which translated to : not those ones, they are different price " , and Shelbs went " same " and dropped a couple into the scale 😂😂😂. And she was honest and was calling them to give them the change when she could hv just kept it

7. Your tour guide's sense of humor shone through! A guide who can make you laugh and keep the mood light is always a plus.
8. The view from the 8th level of the temple was breathtaking! Imagining how incredible it must have been to witness it firsthand is awe-inspiring.
9. The ginger-flavored coffee piqued my interest. Trying out new things while traveling is always a fun adventure.
10. Your decision to opt for the shiny fruit was a smart move. That elderly seller did seem a bit tricky!
11. Considering the hot and humid weather in Southeast Asia, I genuinely appreciate the effort you put into bringing us this video content. Thank you!
12. You both serve as our virtual tour guides, allowing us to explore these incredible places through your videos.
13. Chase, your insights on the various ticket options were incredibly useful. Knowing how to make the most of a visit is invaluable.
14. I was taken aback when the rain started unexpectedly! It's remarkable how rapidly weather conditions can change.
15. The Indonesian moms' eagerness to take pictures with Shelby was a hilarious moment. Shelbs certainly has a captivating presence! (Of course, we can't ignore that Chase is quite the handsome guy too!) I wonder if the kids were as excited about their moms' enthusiasm for photos. Hahaha!
16. When you guys started running in the rain, it may be a bit disappointing for you, as it shortened the paid tour experience!
17. It's these unplanned instances that truly make your videos entertaining. Shelby's knack for humor, even when she isn't aware of it, is truly endearing.
18. I genuinely believe Shelby should consider a career as a standup comedian-perhaps at improv or SNL!

Indonesia has been incredible so far and we have loved every moment. From the fun experiences, chatting with locals, beautiful views and amazing food we have found ourselves having so much fun.

indonesia is a hidden paradise on earth......it consist of 17,000 islands...every island has its unique.....I could suggest both of you, never leave Indonesia until you achieve to get 200K subscribers at least......but, Indonesian people are the true beauty, the others just bonuses......you have to make a lot of interaction with local people........have nice days in Indonesia !!!......

Prambanan temple was built in one night is a legendary version of the story. This is due to the disconnection in history so that Javanese people are more familiar with the fairy tales told by their ancestors from generation to generation. That's the love story of Bandung Bondowoso who falls in love with Roro Jonggrang. even when I was little at school the teacher taught that version. But in higher education we have studied true history. In the Prambanan temple complex, the "Roro Jonggrang statue" is actually a statue of the Goddess Durga

before the covid you can climb up to the temple without the tour, that make it really really crowded and sadly some part the temple are are damaged especially the stairs step.
Now indonesia look more awesome am misiing indonesia will back soon next year
about the salak lady, it's not like she doesn't let you pick the fruit yourself. But the other basket had different price. She warned you, but due to language barrier, in the end, she let you drop a few of them into the scale. She was actually being considerate with you and let you had it.

You should have taken the sunrise tour at borobudur.. It is amazing and cooler 😊 temperature wise
We thought about it but chose not to wake up early for this one 🤭 maybe if we visit in the future!! 🙏🏼
@@ChaseandShelbs if you are still in Yogyakarta area, go to merapi, the mountain. There they have the memorial side after the last big eruption in 2000ish also the bungker. Then enjoy the sunset at south beach Yogya choose the quiet spot.. No swimming though, its directly the indian ocean.
thankful I made the trip to Borobudur and Prambanan in 2016 when ticket prices were much lower and we were free to go up Borobudur temple on our own and go all the way up to the highest level where the stupas are. coincidentally, it rained when we were at Prambanan. lol
it is necessary to know that before Islamic teachings entered Indonesia in the 14-15th century by Wali Songo, especially the island of Java, the religion on the island of Java was Buddhism and Hinduism, which is why many Buddhist and Hindu temples were found on the island of Java, and the Borobudur temple was built in the time of the Syailendra kingdom with its king Samarotungga around 825 AD, and the alphabetical writing and language at that time was Sanskrit like the alphabet writing in Thailand, only in the 16th century during the colonial period did Europeans come (Portuguese and Dutch) to take spices, then the writing of the alphabet changed to Latin as it is now

For your info...Borobudur has a "Boronudur car free night"...not just car free, it also have a lot and a lot of shows and food stalls...i 100% recommend to see it...

5:30, actually, this non negotiable rules was just applied since Covid 19 to limit the nunber of toutist to go up. It was also to protect the temple againts very high loads.
Before this, everyone could go there for free, even to the highest level, without any guide.
Indonesia has 17508 islands and more than 360 tribes with languages, traditional arts and food specialties each with its beauty and enjoyment…. I hope shelbs and chase can explore it....

chase has the same foot size as mine.
in prambanan when you seen that pile of rock,, it's 1 pile for 1 little temple. they got crumble cos of earth quake long time ago. if you see closer of that pile, you can see a number in each of the stone, that how they work to rebuild the temple, made it to stone 'lego' and build it numbericly and when they lost a number they carve a new stone to fit the lost one.
He has a hard time finding shoes that fit him haha! Oh that’s great to know. Thank you for sharing.. we are super curious what was going on! 😀
@@ChaseandShelbs there are more temples behind prambanan area, three to be exact. prambanan and two other are hindu temples and the last one sewu temple is buddhist temple. i guess you missed that 3 others
