Nearspace weather balloon project - Eugene MakerSpace

After months of planning and collaboration, the balloon team at the Eugene Makerspace (eugenemakerspac...) successfully launched, and recovered their weather balloon payloads on the 7th of August, 2016. Maximum altitude was 86,000+ ft.
Payload 01 consisted of a raspberry pi hooked-up to a camera module, a GPS module, a weather-station chip, and an APRS packet transmitter radio plus batteries. It was programmed to transmit APRS packets with GPS and weather information at regular intervals, and after set distance travelled.
Payload 02 consisted of 7 raspberry pis' and 7 camera modules arranged for panoramic shots.
