I know TH-cam gets a lot of shit for golf coaching but after being unable to get any swing with my driver yesterday and coming back to this series, I got so much value from it. I was able to get consistency and good striking without those nasty slices. I don't know if it's just my imagination but I honestly think Jonathan is really good at this.

Spent all year fixing my irons swing. Finally got that fixed now I’m hitting down on my driver 😂. So on to the driver and hopefully I don’t lose my irons swing. Love this game

Very helpful videos. I’ve always had trouble figuring out where the butt of the club should be pointing for all clubs, specifically driver.

It appears that, with the driver, your stance is a bit more upright. Therefore it looks like you don’t TILT (your left shoulder toward the ball, as you do with irons).
    Is that true? 🤔
It appears that you are more upright such that your left shoulder points outside the ball as you rotate fully.
Also, a friend of mine thinks if he tilts his right shoulder TOO MUCH on the downswing, he mishits his drive. I often wonder about that left tilt (on the backswing) and right tilt (on the downswing). Seems like the shoulders have a long way to turn in a relatively short amount of time (on the downswing). Any advice on the shoulder turn?
One tip to help with all 3 points:
    “Keep your head still!” ☝🏻
    - Jack Nicklaus (Jack Grout)
    Great stuff, Jonathan 👍🏻
Your instruction is clear, concise and easy to implement.
    Keep up the good work.

Jonathan, thanks for another awesome video! It would be helpful to see you talk about the extension portion from behind the ball to give a better view the right and wrong amounts of this piece of the set up. Thank you again!

Great video, thank you. I am struggling with my arms getting stuck behind in the downswing. Is this maybe due to a backswing too flat as you mentioned? Or should I feel some tension in my arms? Thanks!

That arm position is so key. I was letting my arms hang under my shoulders and it feels so awkward and the plane was so vertical. Now the clubhead moves easier and is on a flatter plane.

    Jonathan
Is the force of your driver swing lifting you off the ground or are you pushing off the ground with your legs. If it’s the legs which one is doing the pushing? Thx

Hi Jonathan, i have problem with rotation... i feel super stiff trying to do the backswing almost like my body is very limited in flexibility... any thoughts? IF we can t do big rotation like tour guys... any other alternative to start going and still hit the ball sorta solid or at least in the middle of the club even without so much power or swing speed .. (im a weekend golfer tho.. only tee off from red box... fyi) Thank yoU!

This promotes a flat shoulder turn ?

    • @JKMGolf
      @JKMGolf  ปีที่แล้ว

Not necessarily. You would have a “flat” shoulder turn if you do not have any tilt
