I don’t know if I was lucky or what but my interview took less than 30mins. 1. I was asked why I wanted to be a cop 2. What good attributes do I have 3. This one was a general knowledge question about cricket

Thank you for this video, it definitely helped with my interview. I was asked about general knowledge. Issues affecting us internationally and locally, what does success means to me. How would I change the communities approach to the police and vice versa, how do I handle conflict. Among some of what was mentioned in the video. I hope this helps someone.
I didn't have the help nor the information available to me when I was in the process. That's why I think it's a good idea to try and help those who are seeking the info
i did my panel interview this wednesday, april 13th, i was successful, it was more of a conversation to see what type if person but be prepared everything, just in case
They will ask you to tell them about yourself Give them some information on the jcf Name the ranks in order They will give you scenarios to solve They ask you what is success and what does it mean to you You always need to keep up with current affairs both Jamaica and overseas Just stay focus and listen and answer the question carefully because there will be follow up questions
@@maliksamuels3991 I have done roughly 3 interviews in all, An Initial interview, that was done online, then there was an investigative interview, and then the final interview with the selection panel ( the big guys)... BUT I am in Barbados, not Jamaica, so I am not certain if they do it differently there. I am to undergo counselling before I can proceed, for some past unhealed childhood traumas, I am in the process of healing those, so I haven't gotten the go ahead yet to go up to training school. Let say you didn’t mention that you previously applied for another job(the dcs for example) will that affect your application later on,even though I was successfully at the interview????
There's nothing to fix. If you don't wanna bother with DCS then you can let them know or you can still join and continue with the JCF process and switch over. Applying for JCF isn't a guarantee you will be hired. So don't put all ur eggs in one basket
The dupty are somewhat confusing or maybe it's me I thought it was just 1 deputy commissioner but the website is showing more than 1 as deputy commissioner or maybe I'm the 1 getting it wrong.
The application process usually takes 4-6 months, any longer than that you might want to go to the recruitment office and see if something is wrong with your application cause sometimes your document might get lost.
If you haven’t received a call for 3 months or more it may be that you failed some part of the application process like the background check, you can call and ask.
Back in high school I wasn’t always on my best behaviour, but I ended high school as a top student, I got 2 or 3 suspensions in my earlier years of high school, do you think that will affect me whenever jcf go to do the background check???
It's possible. Behavioral problems can be a setback but I don't think the weight of it is has heavy as would an adult with Behavioral problems. Just hope for the best
@@SageTalk okay then thanks, it was just behavioural problem in about grade 9, differently I’m a well behaved citizen only went to a station once because I wanted to do community service but didn’t got the chance because of corona
