I've been using that 'Proppa Stone Trolls' mod ever since it came out. It's actually perfect.
It looks great. Wouldn't mind having that as a default skin for the game instead of downloading a mod.

@@Sir_Bucket So an entire company of devs can't give a troll a bigger nose and longer ears but a single modder can within a week?
@@fierywolverine5044 no because they had to make the new badlands region on the mortal empire map, with all the little models on the maps. They had to model and animate the Troll Hag, the River Trolls, which are both exceptionnal troll models. They had to do Graum, they add to do all the elfs units and the campaigns mechanics, they remade the waaagh mechanics, etc...
So I do not think they had weeks to spend like that on features that were not essential. What we got in this DLC was already amazing, and I don't think we can yell at CA for making one laey reskin when there are, like I said, many examples of the work they did.
@@Sir_Bucket " features that were not essential" My guy it's not a feature, it's a fucking face on a troll. It would have taking an hour for like 4 people to work on it. Lazy, plain and simple. Also don't know of the people yelling at CA you're talking about. Only reason there's talk of the trolls here is because he pointed out he was using the mod.

I remember a battle, I’m not totally sure if it was this channel, might have been Dahv’s, but it was a steam tank versus a goblin shaman on a wolf. Goblin shaman cast a magic missile spell (I forget the name) but after he cast was insta routed by steam stank cannon ball, but the steam tank was destroyed by the spell. The empire won.
Don't forget the Arkhan and Khalida solo team up against swathes of chaff.
Dude that was awesome. I've stayed subbed but have not watched for a while, but damn that was a great battle.

Did you see those gunners he could have moved back? It was towards the end, and they got charged downhill, did maybe get half a volley off. I noticed because he had plenty of time to move them back further. I dont think he spotted the hill on the terrain

I feel like those early cav charges were a bit too soon, they never got a true hammer and anvil off. KotBS really can't take that much punishment for their very high cost.
That 24 melee defence is really what takes them down.
Also using bjuna and spirit leech on the knights is not really a good idea, 25% magic resist and low model count, the greatswords or boris would be a much better target.
Boris will just regen thru the Spirit leeches, only really worth it if you have him pinned down and are trying to burst him from 100 to 0, which didnt really happen this battle. The KotBS are by far the biggest threat to the Stone Trolls, his caster, and his lord outside Boris, and Grom can run over Greatswords for days. So even with the magic resist, I think he was right to focus them down, one Bjuna still took a Knight unit down to like 33% hp. I agree he might have gotten overzealous with the cav though, could have preserved them better

I found it very interesting that Boris Todbringer is translated into german as Boris Wüterich. Todbringer means deathbringer that sounds much better

Greenskins could have had that with some better army comp.
First issue: Two Orc Boar Boyz. Shit unit. Just don't bring them. The only time you should pick them if you don't have the King&Warlord DLC (and the GS player did since there was a Hammer of Gork and the Rusty Arrerz on the field). At any other time you want some melee cav: Bring Squig Hopperz. Objectively a much more useful unit at the exact same pricepoint.
Second issue: Don't bring Artillery if you lack the means to protect it. Unless it's something like a Helstorm Rocket Battery, it'll need to keep shooting for quite a while to generate its value.
Third issue: Don't cheap out on your frontline as greenskins. It is a common misconception that you can go cheap against the empire. Empire frontlines against GS usually either involve a ton of Flagellants or, like in this video, a few Greatswords. Goblins can deal with neither. Savage Orcs can work but will likely just get shot to pieces. What I'm saying is, there's never a reason not to have some Big'Uns or Black or at least the Eight Peak Loonies.
Fourth issue: If you are gonna go Lore of Death bring Soulblight. It's a vastly underrated spell and it's usually not worth bringing LoD just for the damage spells.
Fifth issue: Stone trolls are good but they don't replace a frontline on their own, even if you saturate with Goblins. Stone Trolls are only 50 points less than Black Orcs but Black Orcs would have won that battle and not routed off with most of their models still alive.

if they rework FoB they'll need to rework every direct damage spell. Final Trans, sp leach ect. also they'd have to rework heal spells bc they are point and click as well.. and that's boring.

I think Spirit Leech is more exploitative than Fate of Bjuna in some ways. Fate of Bjuna may be boring and not very interactive to play with and against, but at least it does what it is supposed to do for a hefty price. Meanwhile, Spirit Leech (which, I assume, is supposed to be a lord/hero sniping spell) is also used to snipe cavalry or artillery models, which doesn't make much sense to me. It either should only be able to target heroes/lords, or do its damage on a single, non-artillery, model.

That movement mistake on the silver bullets as massive. Had the emp player kept them away they would have just nuked the stone trolls. Bullets always go at least one damage so the resist wouldnt matter.
I'm not sure I follow your logic. Stone Trolls have high missile resist and high magic resist, which severely mitigates the damage that Silver Bullets do to them. If the bullets are only doing "one damage" per shot, against a regenerating unit with 5,000+ hp, that's absolutely horrible. They do more than that per bullet obviously, but they dont nuke Stone Trolls. The resistances they have matter a lot
@@milkandcookiesTW My point is that letting them get into melee there almost cost the game. Had they stayed back and waited for the trolls to come over the ridge two volleys of even 300 damage would have broken them

Hopefully in TWW3 doesn’t get a new layer of security on its modding. First of all it’ll just get cracked eventually anyway and secondly I can’t imagine what modders will add based on what we’re getting now
? Why would they do that? CA is actually supportive of the modding community and we talk back and forth with a few of the staff reguarly.
Meh The reason modders are only now adding custom textures and assets is because someone broke some security lock on mods somewhere. CA wants to avoid, for example, a massive LOTR total conversion mod since it’ll must deff lead to a lawsuit since TW is so mainstream.
@@CoolSmoovie Sorry but no. There aren't any physical security locks on the game and there never has been. We are only just figuring out models/animations etc because those things aren't exactly straightforward. Not because we figured out how to 'break some lock', that alone would get you in trouble with CA.
Meh Maybe May not have been a lock, but you have to admit it’s been highly discouraged since a game thats been highly supportive of mods in the past doesn’t even come with a map editor. Weird how all these people know how to add custom assets and etc. so quick. It’s almost like it just took one guy to figure out the trick to adding them properly.

Is not there anyone who can save poor chaos boys from these annoying Knights of Order! It hurts to see those chaos boys getting cycle charged by cavalry and peppered by equally annoying range! Seems melee infantry is really good for nothing in front of cycle charge and rain of arrows 😥
