In the version with the mod, for example, pikemen no longer grab their swords when they get too close to enemies, hold on to their pikes to the end, which makes them more dangerous and effective.

However, they become a little bit overpowered that way. Scots should be able do stroll through entire Europe once they get their armored pikemen.
the only thing i hate about that mod is the nerf of hasashim HP from 2 to 1

The Turks, I enjoy when you are allowed to choose basically the Boss Nation and have their amazing stuff. Sure some might complain about it not being balanced but who cares, I want to play as the guys with the based Great Bombard
Turks are for sure the most OP medieval 2 civ but they are still just so fun to watch because of their play style, good vid pilpy

They are not, the best all around civ is Spain. Turks got poor cavalry (super important on this game) and even worst heavy infantry.

@@IAmTh3Doom light cav and archer cav are king, and the Turks have good all around cav, their general units are are strong, and their starting position is unmatched. No other civ gives you a better starting point to conquer a fuck ton of territory, also Spain is catholic so they have to deal with the pope and the Turks are Muslim so they just can just jihad everywhere and have free armies.

Hey bro just saw the community post. I was not subscribed and it was in mid December I last clicked on your video when it showed up in my feed when I was searching some total war stuff. Your community post still showed up so it might not be as bad right now with the algorithm. I'll subscribe now, put a like and watch the video. Nobody else does a experience video of total war as much as I can say so your unique content will go on for long. My suggestion is to do a live stream and get the chat to spam so youtube can be tricked into thinking that this is a busy channel and they will recommend you around more. I've heard it works.

It's straight up content quality. The amount of turns this guy goes through for a single video would be a dozens long video series on most other channels.
for me it's because when i play medieval 2 again, it quickly gets old because its an old game, but these videos lets me relieve the glory i remember

Pilps Medieval 2: Total War Starter Pack
- Snags the local rebel settlements
- Either makes a temporary treaty with the "historical rival" or makes alliances with their rivals
- A.I. Pope declares a crusade on Cairo for no reason
- (If Christian) Bribes the hell out of the Pope in order to declare crusades on cities he wants to take
- (If Muslim) Uses his Imam to declare jihads on cities he wants to take
- Conquers his first "historical rival" before moving on to conquer other kingdoms
- Outfits his entire army with gunpowder the exact moment that it's available
- Proceeds to slug it out with the rest of the map until he wins the campaign
- Repeat with next faction

25:31 dude this so much reminds me of my Napoleon Total War Darth Mod Russia Invasion. So many full stacks of actual good Russian armies, plus with some Austrian support. It was just great battle after another, oh how I yearn to have that again.

Missile units and cav rear charges. Can't wait for when you do Rome total war honestly. THE CLASSIC ONE, NOT SHIT MASTER

Fun fact: The Turks didn't actually change the name of Constantinople to Istanbul officially until 1930, after the fall of the Ottomans and the formation of the Turkish Republic.
I laughed out loud at the part where the Turkish rocket wagon exploded followed by "physics" as it glitched out.
On another note, the Turkish armoured spearmen remind me a bit of the guards at King's Landing in GoT.
