- In this crazy close Total War Warhammer 2 multiplayer match, King Louen and Bretonnia use their Grail Guardians and a Heavens mage to bring the STORM, as Queek Headtaker and the Stormvermin of Clan Mors lead the Skaven attack.

@Jonathan Spier i would love to see one of the dwarves facing aganist kholek with some sick animations or settra who according to legend killed kholek, i wouldnt mind mounts for my lords just let me dismount them when i please
@@flamingrubys11 It's not according to legend. One specific GW writer who contributed to writing the end times among other lore books and pieces shared what he would have written Settra doing following being "defeated" by Nagash. He also speculates that Abhorrash would beat Archaon so ehh.

@@flamingrubys11 The Progenitor of the Blood Dragon Vampire Bloodline. The premier Melee Combatants of the Vampires. He's the Vampire that gave the Bloodkiss (turned) to The Red Duke, Luthor Harkon the Mad Pirate King of the Vampire Coast, and his Brother Walach Harkon. He's an extremely gifted and capable melee combatant. The issue is he has no real feats and his lore is fairly empty beyond the fall of Lahmia and who he's turned.

Who put all these skavenslaves in armour? This is clearly a plot-scheme against the mightiest of mad-things Warlord Queek, as there are no foes that can truly match-meet the Headtaker's strength in arms, yes-yes!

Juris angeles only after getting old and slaughtering Dawi, Greenskins, other Skaven, dark elves, and humans for decades beforehand. Plus before facing Thorgrim himself he killed many other Dawi in that battle. And then Thorgrim got murdered by Snikch.
But since that is End Times lore, I’d like to believe that never happened...

@@Joshuaelkins11 Not that many decades, actually. Unless they are Greyseers or other very powerful figures, Skaven don't get very old (if they are however, and they do get access to that lifespan enhancing magic, they can live on for centuries), they aren't like Orcs who can basically live forever if they aren't killed. I think Queek wasn't even 20 when he died (and 20 is actually very old for a Skaven to begin with).
Normally I don't like to Root and Cheer for a Skavin army. But I really like this skavin army. :D Almost all infantry, Most melee, and a few ranged. But no long ranged option. no Artillery . No Skaven war machines. No Summons. No Mortis Engine(I think). Very few Offesive magic.
It used in stead a Strong infantry Core and infantry focused army. With heavy Magic Support in the form of Buffs for his troops and lords. and Debuffs for his enemies. XD It's nice to see this kinda skaven army. For a Change. :) And I'm kinda sad it lost. But I'm all so very satisfied with how well the army did. :D

This is wat I like to see characters and units you never see, that's my one issue with total war warhammer content is that every build is competitive never anything different so many units that don't get used

Started watching your videos a year ago but took a long hiatus from watching TWW2. Came back recently and can't say enough how awesome and enjoyable your commentary is. Love your quips and delivery. Unlike many other casters, you don't rely on excessive range of emotions to drive superficial enthusiasm and excitement. Instead, you provide smooth transitions from an event occurring, the pros and cons for each side, and often correlate the likely outcome to the match as a whole. You blend both the strategic and tactical aspects of the game in way that feels authentic. The added humor and quips keep the focus on and chuckling throughout. Seriously AAA quality. Thanks so much!

This is why I wish CA should have given stormvermin the Vermintide stormvermin patrol chant
taking two grail reliquae's but then spending most of the battle having them stacked on top of one another.... I find that usually you really only need one. 400 kills on the grail guardians.. Nice.
my positioning with them wasnt great, but my left and center buckled pretty quick. so I just retreated it to a place I could protect, which happened to be near my other Reliquae. If you're going full 20 stack peasant infantry spam, I dont think 2 Reliquaes is a bad investment

The grail guardians perfect vigour kept them in! Those halberdiers were definitely exhausted so imagine something like -30% to offensive AND defensive stats, exhausted hurts.

As much as I love Bretonnia, seeing a storm vermin army really made me root for the Skaven here
I don't expect it'd be a good idea in higher level play, but one of my favourite ways to surprise opponents when playing Bretonia, is to bring some fully chevroned Grail Guardians. That extra melee defence and attack takes them past the point of being super tough, to being nigh unkillable by regular infantry (provided you don't let them get hit in the back). Your opponent sees a high value cav target and gets his spears on it right away, but rather than wasting time trying to avoid them, you just charge right in and eviscerate them. Anti large damage bonus doesn't mean jack if you can't hit them, and the offensive boost basically guarantees that the guardians never miss their mark, cutting through faster than people expect.
Meanwhile the peasants of all things, are the ones sent to flank and harass the enemy ranged units. They're incredibly cheap and low damage, but they can fight archers and be deployed in good numbers. Either the archers run from them, or they waste their time and ammo on them. Should the enemy fail to remove all of them, they still face the exact same charged from the rear leadership penalties as if hit by flanking cav. It's a satisfyingly backwards strategy and enemies happily sacrifice their spearmen to the trap. (Just avoid elite anti cav units, obviously doesn't work on them.)
Definitely sounds fun! Grail Guardians aren't super threatened by melee on the Skaven roster, just because their base melee defence and armor are already so high. The issue they typically face is firepower from Jezzails, Ratling Guns, and spells like Warp Lightning. Which unfortunately chevrons dont help much against
@@milkandcookiesTW Yeah, I don't think I'd want to do it against Skaven for those reasons. I've had it work against Empire and DarkElves in the past. Sorta worked against Orcs. Like anything depends a lot on what your opponent brings. A fun gimmick strategy.
Queek being my favorite character in Fantasy had me really pulling for the Skaven this time :(

It's always an amazing battle when the balance of power stays equal through most of the battle. If Queek got stand your ground a second earlier it could have gone the other way!!

A long time ago I was working on a meme homebrew faction and had a Japanese shrine and shrine priestesses with "shrine duty" planned (buff to units surrounding the shrine). Creative assembly kinda beat my shinto nuns with a few dudes and a dead knight :)

Considering they get yeeted literally all the time, if it did a lot of damage to them, they'd have to make all units that are heavier than infantry ridiculously expensive to bring.

Honestly, I feel like Leadership abilities from lords (Rally, Stand your Ground, etc) should be able to immediately stop ongoing terror routs, just like the Lizardmen can use Cold-blooded to get rampaging units back in order. That might help a little with how overpowered terror still is in this game.
Also, fuck Louen in particular, he represents literally every single broken aspect of this games meta:
- Flying
- Melee defence nukes
- Free health regen without the actual downside of the regeneration ability
- Griffons
- Fear and Terror
- Too much mass to ever get pinned down by anything that isn't a monster or cavalry
- Broken animations
I don't mind Louen as a character but I absolutely despise how his kit affects the game. Griffons in particular still have way too easy of a time pushing through infantry blobs like they are nothing and it's especially bad on Louen because he heals and has those damage resistances and is utterly unkillable unless you dedicate your entire build to lord-sniping in which case the match won't be fun for either player.
People tend to complain about Skaven a lot, particularily the new units they've gotten in their DLCs, but here we got a 100% vanilla Skaven build and guess what: Louen butchered it. Lords like Louen are the reason why Skaven have to rely on their Jezzails and ratling guns, because without any broken burst potential, you cannot kill Louen before he kill your army.
Honestly, no griffon or hippogryph should ever get more than 30 melee defence and 75 speed base. They have the damage output of a glass canon so it's about time they start factoring in the glass factor.

nope. in Warhammer 1 they could cause chain routs and damage morale of allies
@@Fatalitix3 Nah, originally that trait just referred to any cheap unit. It was changed with the King & Warlord DLC iirc, probably because CA realized that there was no point in making a bunch of content with goblins and night goblins if noone was ever gonna use them because they were a weakpoint in your army that could cause a chain rout.
CA should change that it is an advantage to get knocked down. That's just stupid

Personally I prefer the War Hammer fantasy. It's much more to earth in power scale. I really don't like war hammer 40K, because any time you try to have a Disscuation with it on other scf-fis. The fans just say, My way or the high way. and Dis/Insult all other fandoms. :/ At the very least. When it comes to War hammer fantasy. I can talk about it in comparison with other fantasy univerces. and the fans of War hammer fantasy will treat other Fantasy univceres with equal care. But The Absolute Bias of War hammer 40K fans against all other sci-fis is off putting and angering.

Pretty sure he means the adding of Expendable, which makes your other units not lose leadership when an "expendable" unit routs.
