I've really been thinking of picking up SD Battle Alliance and I think you've convinced me! Right now I play way too much Evolution for what time I have off work. Love Evolution but would like something that won't frustrate me so much if I have a losing streak.

Started playing Battle Alliance on my Switch recently and was honestly surprised with how good it is! It’s no KH2 or DMC in terms of combat (so few things are), but it keeps me on my toes and figuring out which suits work for me has been interesting. I gotta say going through all the Break missions scratched the same itch Dynasty Warriors Gundam did for me, seeing pilots from different universes trading banter. Been maining Phoenix Gundam for the majority of the game, but hoping to experiment with All-Rounders like Qan[T] once I get the blueprints (I love the 00 Gundams). I don’t suppose you’d be willing to do a video on G Generations Genesis and Cross Rays sometime, would you? I’m eyeing those two next. Loved the video, looking forward to the next one!

SD Battle Alliance looks like a softer version of Gundam Breaker 3, which ain't a bad thing. Still mad that there's no PC Breaker game that isn't underwhelming, though. Armored Core 6 gotta pick up the mech customization slack.
12:10 Funny enough a PSP SRPG game SD Gundam G Generation Overwolrd one of the gimmick of the game is how much you are going to break the Timeline. By completing Objectives(Said Objectives are moslty Character A must defeat Character B) you'll trigger a Break where the history and lore of the series are getting mixed af and the difficulty will also get higher each Break and you can do this repeatedly each time you complete a said objective until you trigger a Last Break called Overworld and pretty much all your allies will become an Enemy and the last task is to beat them all. And this is all Optional you can avoid triggering a Break by not doing the Objective and doing so is only meant for when your Units is Strong enough to fight a Break
Oh and the MS variety is also way WAY more than Battle Alliance like it has stuff form the Manga,Novels and even New Mobile suits it even has its own version of Barbatos(since this game came first before IBO)
Really like this game but my biggest issue is how lacking the mobility is. Some later levels can get quite large which makes dragging your ass across the map really boring. It's kinda weird to feel so slow in a gundam game, wish you could just zip around the map with some cool mobility shenanigans.
*slowly peaks out the box* is it ironic to note MOST- oh who am I kidding- ALL of SD Gundam games are always in a Disgaea(Sorta) RPG style? Side note: did ya know there's a SD Gundam game on the Virtual Boy? Yes, get a Barf bag

Uhh...am I gonna be that guy to step on the toes and point out that Zero's a guy? I should point out some things about SD Gundam Force though The three main Gundam characters are all based on other Gundams. Captain is GP01 from Stardust Memory, Zero is Wing Zero and Bakunetsumaru is Burning Gundam. Yes, the show is a lot like that in its presentation and tone, but it does get darker near the end of the series I'm not entirely sure why Bandai jumped the gun and immediately started selling SD Gundam right after G Gundam. It is a popular brand in Japan with a lot of spinoffs, but the American market isn't the Japanese market. Just a case of too soon. It gets even crazier when you find out that SD Gundam Force actually aired in America first before it came to Japan, so the heavy Wing and G focus isn't coincidental. People want to liken SD Gundam Battle Alliance's story to Xenoverse but honestly, this is really just Gundam EXA/Extreme VS all over again. A datascape about the history of Gundam, a mysterious super-powerful game original Gundam messing things up. Your protagonist is basically just Leos Alloy, Sthesia's been split up into Sakura and Juno and Hermes and the real antagonist are just ex-, minus the existential baggage

Battle alliance looks so much better than Showdown! Just looking at showdown I felt turned off, I wanna give it a chance but I feel like I would just lose motivation playing it 😒.
this is more for casual fans of gundam. as where battle op 2 is more for gundam fan vets. its more about unit lore and simulation. one isn't better than the other. but gbo2 is better imo because im a fucking gundam nerd.
