But before he was Orion Pax he was Optimus Prime. One of the original 13, Optimus choose to sacrifice himself into the Wellspring to be reborn as Orion Pax so he could life a life as anyone would.. It was Alpha Trion that knew who Orion was and groomed him to become the next Prime.. Once he confronted Primus, he was bestowed a piece of Primus's spark that became the Matrix of Leadership.
Just like how I bought a Gundam toy when I was a kid only for it to break after just touching it's arm Needless to say I never want to do anything ever again with Gundam and seeing Optimus win was the one of the greatest death battle episodes ever

I mean, we have materials stronger than titanium that are lighter, just adding aluminum to titanium produces a far stronger alloy that is lighter per cm cu due to the aluminum being lighter. Magnesium alloys are also ridiculously strong and lighter than both pure titanium, and many common titanium alloys. Also, while titanium is great for making tough, temp resistant aircraft skin, it's worse than steel in every respect as ballistic armour. Hardened steels are much more resilient overall. Titanium gets a bit too much credit, it has its applications, but it's not a replacement for steel.

Even People are forgetting that IDW Optimus Prime is possibly multiversal. He’s taken on Regenesis Shockwave who had the ore-13 core to control universes. And Nova Prime controlled the Dead universe carried with multiple universes.
If this video used the true size difference between Optimus and the RX78-2, I don't think the end result would have differed, but the fight itself would have gone down differently.

The lore, for those stories, it’s such a convoluted mess of who’s who, and what is what, that its nearly impossible to comprehend. TJOmega has at least three or four videos researching the Alternators and Binaltech storylines, and he can never piece them together to make complete sense. (And don’t even dare bring up Prowl 2. Actually, both of u are off. While they were definitely presenting a OYW Amuro (15-16) (Sayla on comms. also is a dead giveaway), they gave him his AEUG pilot suit for whatever reason.
This was a difference in pure experience. As a fan of both Transformers and Gundam, it’s hard to accept Amuro’s loss, but it makes sense. Optimus had plenty more experience than the White Meteor. Now, if Amuro was piloting either the Nu Gundam or the Hi-Nu Gundam, then he would’ve had a significantly larger chance, due to the Deus Ex Machina BS the Psycho-Frame can pull off, but that would possibly be countered by the Matrix Of Leadership

For me, a big problem with such comparative data/fights is how the series/world is built/conceived. As an example Transfromers was created as a Super Robot series and Gundam as a Real Robot series. Thus, the Real Robot series tries to stay closer to reality and explain the technology used, Super Robot series subordinate everything to the narrative and "cool factor". So a fair or equal comparison is difficult by the approach of the worlds themselves. (Translated for German thru Goggle-Translate.)
While I like to think Transformers is Super Robot And Real Robot combined because it can be very realistic with stuff like Last Stand Of The Wreckers and it has deconstructed it's own tropes like the Combiners. And it also can show realistic effects like that the War Between the Autobots and Decepticons causing us humans to distrust the bots, the fact it involves a multiverse and have Robot God's and Demi God's makes it more Super Robot than real robot.
I would rather have characters to not fight one another in causing the multiverse to be disordered, but I would like some to overcome those who search for trouble for no Real reason

The second I get I mean that was Sideswipe’s jetpack not Prime’s, but I think it would be accurate to say that Optimus could match the gundam. If you’re talking about Prime he’s always been a brawler people just don’t like to recognize that. The literal opening of G1 has him Mercing 2 decepticons and styling on them through the air.
If a G1 Optimus can pull this off, imagine what a full power Optimus from Transformers Prime can do in this fight... Worse if it was the Beast Hunters version of Optimus.
This is not even a contest. The Autobots are millions of years old and their technology is far more advance than any Gundam suit in the Gundam universe lore.
He should be thankful he wasn't up against any of the actual top contenders in the Gundamverse. Like anything with a Psycoframe, Turn Nanites, GN Reactor, etc.
...The thing that no one seems to really be talking about is... well... Amuro's a human piloting a much larger body. There's a certain disconnect of sense perspective that without a direct mind uplink, can't be avoided. Experience helps bridge that gap, but that's the mind making shortcuts and educated guesses. Optimus IS a literal giant robot. That's his default. He just knows how to move on those scales in way that Amuro can only guess at.

The only one he had trouble killing was Megatron because when he was Orion Pax guess what he knew Megatron. Also speaking of G1 I love all the one off feats they bring up for optimus but ignore that the rx-78-2 was only repaired around twice in the whole series meaning it's durability is much higher than they are saying because it tanked that explosion at the start and went for a much longer time before getting repairs because the ship Amuro was initially on did not have the supplies required to repair the gundam. They also ignore the fact that despite the millenia of diference in experience Optimus falls for feints that are super obvious while Amuro thanks to precognition can see around them, see him defeating Big Zam with no ability to see it by the end.
Don't forget the Transformer Prime incarnation of Optimus could be just as vicious towards Megatron and the Decepticons starting from the tail end of the first season. From that point forward, he seems to take any chance he can get to finish Megatron once and for all.

Fighting with honor doesn’t mean fighting unintelligently, many fighters would considering not using every available strategy as more dishonorable than some “sneak attacks are cheap” code of honor, because using everything you have means you respect your opponent as an equal
Yeah well, that’s optimius character. He is your typical heroic súper strong and cool and honorable líder but the things that set him apart from the archetype are: -he takes doing the right thing REALLY seriously, it’swhat he's talking about when he says honour, and he'll literally kill himself is he feels like he has failed in this regards -he takes winning against evil equaly seriously to the point where he'll use his dead comrades as a meat-shield and stab an oponent behind him by impailing himself. So yeah, sneaking up on an oponent is very much in character
I'm not that upset over it cuz Deathbattle scaled both characters in those fights to planetary-universal. Funny how so much of the Gundam audience spent 5 years putting stress on and arguing with Transformers fans, claiming Transformers aren't as strong as Trasfans think, just to make their fan base look like jerks and everyone knows their mobile suits still lose to Transformers.

Actually optimus primes toy was Japanese, Optimus Prime the character is all US made mate, everything about the character, his personality, his abilities was all made in America.
Yeah, I could see how a giant robot who thinks, feels, and fights just as, if not more efficiently, as a human could easily beat a real human piloting any man-made giant robot, due to how much more advanced, agile, powerful, and experienced Transformers are.
That’s not as much of an advantage as you think. Optimus cuts down on the reaction time because he doesn’t have to input controls, he just moves his arms. However, losing limbs, being impaled, getting shot, etc would be a LOT worse for the bot since he actually feels the pain. Not to mention he’s got a lot less dead space in his chassis since he’s got biotech components critical to his functions. You take off a transformer’s head and most of them will die. Any gundam will either be blinded or just have more limited vision as secondary cams kick in but will still be able to fight. Transformers also have to heal naturally (for some things, most can be repaired), whereas a suit just needs repairs and can eject the pilot if it takes too much damage.
Since Death Battle removes morals & killing is applicable with any character, I love how they made Optimus a brutal brawler & just go all out with his beat down on the Gundam.
If it's IDW Prime, he still negs. The guy could take on Megatron, the mf who could cripple D-Void. Optimus can tank hits from literal Regenesis Shockwave. 0 chance for the Gundams to scratch his paint

@@Rockden Ehh they're not really outliers imo. Gundams from the main Universal Century timeline and alternates like G-Reco and Seed could shred Optimus. The main outliers would be Turn A / Turn X since Moonlight Butterfly by design should wreck all of the Transformers and Cybertron with no effort. The Gundams from the early period in the timeline like MSG / 8th MS / War in the Pocket / Stardust Memory would get destroyed by Optimus, though.

Actually, both of u are off. While they were definitely presenting a OYW Amuro (15-16) (Sayla on comms. also is a dead giveaway), they gave him his AEUG pilot suit for whatever reason.
This was a difference in pure experience. As a fan of both Transformers and Gundam, it’s hard to accept Amuro’s loss, but it makes sense. Optimus had plenty more experience than the White Meteor. Now, if Amuro was piloting either the Nu Gundam or the Hi-Nu Gundam, then he would’ve had a significantly larger chance, due to the Deus Ex Machina BS the Psycho-Frame can pull off, but that would possibly be countered by the Matrix Of Leadership

This episode has so many contradictions and tons of misinformation, Amuro has superior feats,and so does his weapons.

For me, a big problem with such comparative data/fights is how the series/world is built/conceived. As an example Transfromers was created as a Super Robot series and Gundam as a Real Robot series. Thus, the Real Robot series tries to stay closer to reality and explain the technology used, Super Robot series subordinate everything to the narrative and "cool factor". So a fair or equal comparison is difficult by the approach of the worlds themselves. (Translated for German thru Goggle-Translate.)
While I like to think Transformers is Super Robot And Real Robot combined because it can be very realistic with stuff like Last Stand Of The Wreckers and it has deconstructed it's own tropes like the Combiners. And it also can show realistic effects like that the War Between the Autobots and Decepticons causing us humans to distrust the bots, the fact it involves a multiverse and have Robot God's and Demi God's makes it more Super Robot than real robot.
I would rather have characters to not fight one another in causing the multiverse to be disordered, but I would like some to overcome those who search for trouble for no Real reason

...The thing that no one seems to really be talking about is... well... Amuro's a human piloting a much larger body. There's a certain disconnect of sense perspective that without a direct mind uplink, can't be avoided. Experience helps bridge that gap, but that's the mind making shortcuts and educated guesses.
Optimus IS a literal giant robot. That's his default. He just knows how to move on those scales in way that Amuro can only guess at.

Also speaking of G1 I love all the one off feats they bring up for optimus but ignore that the rx-78-2 was only repaired around twice in the whole series meaning it's durability is much higher than they are saying because it tanked that explosion at the start and went for a much longer time before getting repairs because the ship Amuro was initially on did not have the supplies required to repair the gundam.

Yeah, I could see how a giant robot who thinks, feels, and fights just as, if not more efficiently, as a human could easily beat a real human piloting any man-made giant robot, due to how much more advanced, agile, powerful, and experienced Transformers are.

That’s not as much of an advantage as you think. Optimus cuts down on the reaction time because he doesn’t have to input controls, he just moves his arms. However, losing limbs, being impaled, getting shot, etc would be a LOT worse for the bot since he actually feels the pain. Not to mention he’s got a lot less dead space in his chassis since he’s got biotech components critical to his functions. You take off a transformer’s head and most of them will die. Any gundam will either be blinded or just have more limited vision as secondary cams kick in but will still be able to fight. Transformers also have to heal naturally (for some things, most can be repaired), whereas a suit just needs repairs and can eject the pilot if it takes too much damage.
That spinning wheel kick having a literal spinning wheel is such an amazing small detail and I love it so much still all this time later
Since Death Battle removes morals & killing is applicable with any character, I love how they made Optimus a brutal brawler & just go all out with his beat down on the Gundam.

Not really. There are plenty of Gundams that can curbstomp Optimus and the Autobots. This is just one of the weakest in the Gundam franchise.

@@Rockden Ehh they're not really outliers imo. Gundams from the main Universal Century timeline and alternates like G-Reco and Seed could shred Optimus. The main outliers would be Turn A / Turn X since Moonlight Butterfly by design should wreck all of the Transformers and Cybertron with no effort.
The Gundams from the early period in the timeline like MSG / 8th MS / War in the Pocket / Stardust Memory would get destroyed by Optimus, though.
