    I just discovered your channel during this tragic Covid-19 crisis. Your videos are a bright spot in my day. My husband and I have been vegan for about 7 years. I like how basic and down-to-earth your videos and instructions are. The recipes are things that we can "whip up" with ingredients we usually have in our pantry and refrigerator. I want to try your broccoli and cauliflower "steaks" in the coming week. Thanks again for being a "bright light."

      Oh, my dear, Rebecca, you are a wonderful young woman and I am so thankful you "discovered" my channel! 😊 You speak like one of my own children. Thank you. The things you shared are exactly why I started my channel. I can't tell you how many "at-home businesses" I started; probably more than you are years old. but my son, Evan, encouraged me to start this TH-cam channel. I was 66yo at the time; that was 2017. I have grown so much in every way: spiritually, mentally and physically. My Troupers (check out this video: th-cam.com/video/bejee5bsjw8/w-d-xo.html) are a great blessing to me as you have been. Last thought, you spell your name like my daughter who, btw was named after my mom. Thanks again and keep watching. You might also enjoy my bloopers video: th-cam.com/video/PdsMHNgs6c8/w-d-xo.html)...😄 I hope you enjoy it. Bye for now, Rebecca...say 'hey' to your wonderful husband from me. 🥰

    I purchased a bunch of pint size canning jars with lids. I then poured each spice into each jar and then tighten lid. I then placed each jar standing up in a kitchen drawer I have that's large. On top of each jar I wrote in black permanent marker name of spice. Works fantastic for me. If you have a smaller depth drawer could use smaller canning jars. Hi Ms Berta! You have a wonderfully inspiring channel! This seasoning mixture is delicious! One of our favorite ways to use this is to put a teaspoon or so in the water being used to cook brown rice. Depending on how much is used, it adds a subtle flavor to the rice. We enjoy serving steamed, seasonal vegetables over the brown rice. Sometimes locally-sourced, organic cheddar cheese is shredded over the veggies, but your seasoning mixture makes all the difference in the world in the brown rice! Thank you for sharing your recipe and for this video!!

    I happily see NO celery seed in your recipe and I'm delighted!
    I can't wait to make this! I used to buy vegetarian chicken broth from the bulk bins at Whole Foods and they discontinued it. I then tried Frontier's product and it was absolutely awful. The only flavor was an overwhelming taste of celery - that's it. Then, I found a recipe to make the broth myself, but it had something like 20 ingredients. Too expensive, but I did it because I really, really miss that original product from ww. (we used it as a base for everything from pea soup, chickenless tortilla soup, a light version of white sauce (the best I ever made; so good I could eat it plain with a spoon). That homemade recipe also had an overwhelming flavor of celery. I don't mind the flavor that a little celery adds, but just a hint.

    • @bertajay
      @bertajay  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well, Jane l am so thankful you found my recipe. So sorry about your ordeal with finding the right chicken broth replacement. Remember this recipe is more like a spice that is added to a food not a "chicken" broth. I pray that it works out for you. Do let me know after you make it. I appreciate your comments. Have you ever tried Seitenbacher vegetable broth and seasoning? It's what l use. There are 17 ingredients in this powder broth. Celery is the 11th ingredient; not celery seed but celery. Perhaps you can give it a try and see what you think. Just a suggestion, Jane. I hope l've helped in some small way. 😊

    This is wonderfully delicious. I think 1/2 tsp. salt would be ample, though. Started out with 1 tsp. and found it to be too much for this "easy on the salt" family. I think it would be very good sprinkled over popcorn. Thank you!
