Awesome to see you on this side of two wheels. I’ve always liked your content with the wheelies and such. Bicycles are so fun for sure, good to see you doing this.
Hell yeah! Just got back into riding bikes after a 10 year hiatus. I've never been a fitness/endurance type of rider. I rode downhill and jumped, that's all. You are inspiring me to get out and get fit! I'm still of the mindset that I want to race enduro series with the primary goal of being fit enough to earn my downhill riding. I'm guessing that will morph into getting more into endurance as I get more fit. It seems like a daunting task right now.
I was the same when I got started. It was a slow evolution but over time, I went from a downhill/tech focus to more of an overall endurance/speed. There are dudes in their 60s who are still faster downhill and on the climbs and have endurance for days. That's the new bar for me. Lol. Biggest thing for me has been consistency. 💯🤙
Very cool, and as a Canadian I did get to ride South mountain in Feb 2020, and I recognized the terrain right away in your video. Have you had your Vo2 max professionally tested using a mask that captures your respiration and hv you tried measuring same with an iWatch or similar to see if those numbers match?
Shout out to canada! 🇨🇦 I haven't done any professional Vo2 max testing or tried measuring on my own. I'll have to see if there are places close by to do that. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Strong work, bro! Keep at it! 🤙💯
