I was wondering where all the repro listings for the DS Pokemon games on eBay went. Some enterprising criminals were fobbing them off to Gamestop as legitimate originals. What a scam.
My friend always asked his local GameStop to phone the other GameStops to ask whether the game he was looking for had original case and manual. It was a huge amount of time/work, but he successfully bought hundreds of CIB Wii games this way.
This reminds me , I don't buy from GameStop often maybe once or twice a year. I bought a crap load of used PS3/4 games and I got a bunch of tales PS3 games THEY ALL CAME IN A CASE WITH MANUAL, but my copy of FFX for PS4 came in a GameStop box the game that at the time I could walk into any pre owned store and they had 10 copies of
I don't ever have problems with gamestop. One thing to note, any order placed online can be returned in store for full value no questions asked....I have also never received a game in just an envelope.
So true, if you want to take a trip down, memory lane and re-enjoy the early days of gaming, crank up that PS2, Nintendo 64, Atari or Xbox 360 and enjoy whatever game is in your disposal.
I know it’s a gamble if it’s CIB but curious to know how many of the higher priced games are CIB like Silent Hill on PS1 or Persona 2 or Pokémon Colosseum on GameCube. Imagine paying 90+ just to get the disc
I bought Doom Eternal last year in store, drive home which was a hour away, and no game in the case. Called them and they said to come back to get the game 🙄. I go back and the manager was extremely apologetic, she soon became one of the only reasons I even kept going back along with one other employee who was a top tier dude, but the main manager, branch? Idk the ranks I just know he was the hire up that was at like 5 different stores all the time, this dude accused me of lying about the game not being in the case just to get another copy. It was a $10 game. After an explosive back and forth he finally "caved" and gave me the disc. GameStop screwing those, me included, who pre-ordered the RE4 CE over really put me off on wanting to mess with the store anymore. I was told besides getting a refund I'd also get a $10 store credit. Well with that plus $20 in points to redeem I'd figure I'd go grab Jedi Survivor. That main manager refused to honor that $10 credit and because of some glitch in GS system all my points were unusable. Then I find out they fired the store manager and that other employee that was really good for god knows what reason. After all that I officially was done with the store. The employees that were left there now work elsewhere and from what they've told me that store and a few others that manager runs has trouble getting employees to stay and it's more of a ghost town than what you hear about online.
I can deal with Gamestop ditching cases to save space, what I can't deal with is them charging full used prices for those games. To me, that's an automatic $10 price reduction, minimum.
Many times I’ve bought a “new game” and gotten open, gutted copies. One time it was just the disc and a generic case where an employee wrote “ps5 new” in sharpie. Should be illegal for companies to sell something as new if it’s been opened, regardless of if it’s been used. Such a shitty company that punishes the store-level employees if they don’t employ dogshit practices
I bought mario sluggers on gamecube from them and received the sluggers case with Mario strikers in the case. I mean strikers is worth more so I kept it.
I remember getting the Persona 5 steelbook edition on sale NEW for ps5 and i got the generic case....filed a complaint they sent me another copy this time just the steelbook scratched up and dented. Can't wait till they go out of business.

I was wondering where all the repro listings for the DS Pokemon games on eBay went. Some enterprising criminals were fobbing them off to Gamestop as legitimate originals. What a scam.
Holy shit I never expected to see a greatest hits.
I still remember when Electronic Boutique and then Game wrote on discs with marker pen. That was horrible.
Ooooo I’m pumped!🤩🥳
My friend always asked his local GameStop to phone the other GameStops to ask whether the game he was looking for had original case and manual. It was a huge amount of time/work, but he successfully bought hundreds of CIB Wii games this way.
Matty here keeping GameStop alive 😂
15:37 I died😂
Bro holy shit lol 😂 that’s a lot of money I love this series
These are my favorite videos probably ever lol
Been a minute I miss those videos
Suffering of Matty, another episode!
This reminds me , I don't buy from GameStop often maybe once or twice a year. I bought a crap load of used PS3/4 games and I got a bunch of tales PS3 games THEY ALL CAME IN A CASE WITH MANUAL, but my copy of FFX for PS4 came in a GameStop box the game that at the time I could walk into any pre owned store and they had 10 copies of
Matty....my boy....what are we doing giving GameStop $2500....
I don't ever have problems with gamestop. One thing to note, any order placed online can be returned in store for full value no questions asked....I have also never received a game in just an envelope.
im ready for more man juice
Demonetization incoming.
“I think this company could be a lot more than they actually are.” Ain’t that the story of GameStop… 😊😊😊😊
🤢 did you say “man-juice”?! UGH…. That’s nasty lol
Can’t wait to watch this!!
Retro games and consoles are worth it now.
Why?
So true, if you want to take a trip down, memory lane and re-enjoy the early days of gaming, crank up that PS2, Nintendo 64, Atari or Xbox 360 and enjoy whatever game is in your disposal.
i only go to gamestop when i wanna get steam codes since thats one of the few places that consinstantly has them outside of walgreens in my area lol.
The only time I shop at GameStop is when they run their 4 for $40 ($20 and under) sale.
My favorite video, of my favorite hobby 😄
I bought mario sluggers on gamecube from them and received the sluggers case with Mario strikers in the case. I mean strikers is worth more so I kept it.
HALO-Bullethole Edition.🤣🤣🤣!!!
Is there no return policy?
I remember getting the Persona 5 steelbook edition on sale NEW for ps5 and i got the generic case....filed a complaint they sent me another copy this time just the steelbook scratched up and dented. Can't wait till they go out of business.
First, big fan Matty/ However, a little messed up and click-baity of u to not say it’s a compilation in the title.
Have you thought it may be time to seek help for this addiction Matty? 😂 i hope your move went smoothly!!!
It’s not an addiction if it gets views!
