@@TheWOLF1201 the stickers come off with ease, sometimes they leave behind a little bit of residue but it’s easy enough to clean off. The stickers don’t usually rip or anything like that. We buy specific removable ones. :)
The DVD case you had Stuntman in is a rental case. They were mainly used in Blockbuster (which used to rent out PSX/PS2 games!). You can see a small shaft on the inside of the case near the front. A plastic bar would go into that shaft and would actually lock the case, preventing you from opening it. The reason was to protect from thieves pretending to be browsing, and stealing the game/movie discs while nobody's looking, putting the empty case back on the shelf. When you actually rented the game/movie the employee had a special tool that was used to remove that bar, allowing you to open the case when you took it home. I still have a couple of those cases; on the last couple of months before Blockbuster closed down for good they were selling all their stock for dirt cheap and I bought a few dozen DVDs.
I was just about to say that. As a former Blockbuster employee, that was definitely the same cases we had for DVDs and games we had in the store. The problem was that they weren't that great of a deterrent since a thief with a sharp knife to cut the spine or a strong enough magnet could easily get into the case, especially if you worked in a busy store with minimal employees working.
I might be mistaken but I believe the "weird frosted" case for Stuntman is from rental places like Blockbuster, Hollywood Video, etc. I used to work at Blockbuster and we received the original artwork and discs in those amaray cases for movies and games. The cases had a stick locking device that we would feed into the holes at the bottom-right of the case and would travel up the inside of the opening side of the case to prevent theft. When people rented them or bought them, we would unlock them with a magnet that was bolted on the drawers near our registers. When they returned them back to the stores after renting them, we would stick the magnetic locks back in. In most instances if you see cases like that, they came from either video and game rental stores or people/companies who bought those amaray cases in bulk for cheap. Hope this helps.
I live right next to the physical store that he got this from in Vancouver (DoubleJump). They have decent prices and I pretty much only go here these days. Snagged a mint copy of Futurama on PS2 from them for a really decent price just a few weeks ago. Really great place - favorite thing is they actually rate their game's quality correctly (poor/good) and distinguish between Greatest Hits, Part of a Set versions, etc. for collectors. They had that copy of Romancing Saga for PS2 on their shelf for awhile and almost bought it once or twice. Ryan stole it haha! Also that Tactics Advance box is beautiful and if I'd have known they had that it would not be in Ryan's box haha. While it sucks that Ryan is kinda ruining the secret here, this is a place that deserves more business. $900 value out of a $750 box is nothing to sniff at. Good vid!

Really enjoyed this - don't fuss about going too long. It's enjoyable to watch someone excited about opening new games! That was a great mix of stuff - especially with the GBA, Vita and VirtualBoy stuff (probably my favorites).
Well, only 5 minutes in and I am pleased that they actually let you specify what consoles you have so they don't send you things you cannot play. Most do not do that! I will definitely consider this in the future.
You also need to admit that this Store have really Fair Prices for their Games! That was really impressing me… No Game was labeled with too high Price :) Probs to that👏🏼

@@Arc0tR4m4th0rn It's I think the only game what would justify getting a Virtual Boy, although I recommend just using an emulator, because the red screen all the time right in front of your eyes is tiresome and not a great experience and the game anyways is not a virtual reality 3D depth showcase like that one boxing game is or Mario tennis.
For that thick case with the frosted vinyl, I remember those cases from Blockbuster, so I always assume it's from when they'd sell their physical copies after the initial bulk from when it's new.
The total might be "worth" more than you spent - but then again you already had many of these, and can't play/don't collect others - and now you have 50 more pieces of JUNK in your home! Spending much less $$ for a curated collection of games I *really* want is definitely my style

I remember when I said I only collect disc-based games and a couple years later fall into the cartridge-based games as well and I'm happy I did that. Should've done it sooner! 😉👌

Really nice that you got a Compile Heart and Atelier game. :) Word of warning with Danganronpa V3 though: the audio on the cart/base game is low quality, and they released high quality ones as DLC. However, when publishers changed from NISA to Spike Chunsoft, they temporarily delisted the entire Danganronpa franchise in the meantime, including DLC, from all platforms. It was never relisted for Vita.

Just wanted to say that while I can't name any specific titles, there was absolutely a butt load of PS2 games that came w GameFly ads. Motocross Mania! Dude I didn’t know anything about games as a kid so that was basically the only game I played on my PS1. I played it over and over, brings back fun memories back when my dad would even play with me
Those weird frosted DVD cases are old rental cases like from blockbuster. They would put them in those cases and if you notice all the weird tabs inside on the left and right of the case it's for anti theft. When closed you would slide in a plastic magnetic stick from the top of bottom of the case and you couldn't open the case to steal the disc without a special tool.
I watch all of your videos because of your straight forward , no bs approach to good honest opinions and news. But these unboxing videos are just plain fun, especially this one. I was genuinely excited for you. I've been playing video games at home since the Atari 2600 came out and since the PS2 have been getting the PS consoles day 1. I have to say refreshing the page for 3 hours on the Best Buy site was by far the hardest lol. Thanks and best of luck.

I'm not into cartridges at all but the virtual boy cartridge is amazing. I have never seen one before. The retro game store was a Washington State business so you know that you won't get disappointed.
That Stuntman looks like the cases we used for DVDs at Blockbuster. There used to be a long, yellow magnetized lock that would go through the bottom right hole so people couldn’t open up cases and steal the discs.
If you do this again, you should check out Pink Gorilla Games! The owners are awesome. One is the president of the Video Game History Foundation, and makes appearances on MinnMax, and the other is a Twitch Streamer who goes by DSKoopa

I remember one a couple of years back that nearly every game was something I’d see for no more than a few pounds or even just £1 in charity shops that’s included Mag, Socom Confrontation and Warhaw,those three were shutdown before the PS4 was released that’s like being given Battleborn today
Great video and I think the comments you do are fantastic. It's always fun (at least for me) to hear opinions about games and specially about retro ones. I personally wouldn't be happy with this particular box but it wasn't "tailored" for me and what I understood was that there were lot of options to customize what'll be in it so that's great.
I'm glad I came across this video. I purchased a 500 box from them and got the mintiest (even had original receipt when purchased in 1990) copy of Zelda 2 for NES. Definitely had about 600 worth of games overall. That's using ebay sold comps as reference, but that Zelda 2 definitely is worth more than the 140 they had on the box.

If I was looking for filler titles for multiple systems this would exactly be what I would want to do. I watch Cooper's videos and when it comes to giving customers decent value with these, I think he strives to be more than fair.

The Mummy Playstation 1 was one of my first ever played video games. As a kid I was so scared to enter the domes or chamber that I used to just run of the outside area of Hamunaputra all the time. Growing up till today I love this game so freaking much that I’ve completed this like 5 times 😂. Both The Mummy movie as well as the game are super nostalgic to me, they’re like an important part of my childhood. Your vid just made me wanna go over at EBay and get myself a complete copy of the mummy for ps1

Word of warning with Danganronpa V3 though: the audio on the cart/base game is low quality, and they released high quality ones as DLC. However, when publishers changed from NISA to Spike Chunsoft, they temporarily delisted the entire Danganronpa franchise in the meantime, including DLC, from all platforms. It was never relisted for Vita.

Just wanted to say that while I can't name any specific titles, there was absolutely a butt load of PS2 games that came w GameFly ads. Can vividly remember throwing a majority of them out immediately after I bought a game lol. And I had around 500 so I think I'd remember!

Those weird frosted DVD cases are old rental cases like from blockbuster. They would put them in those cases and if you notice all the weird tabs inside on the left and right of the case it's for anti theft. When closed you would slide in a plastic magnetic stick from the top of bottom of the case and you couldn't open the case to steal the disc without a special tool.
I'm not knowledgeable or interested at all in retro games, but seeing how happy you were in this video had me smiling!

I watch all of your videos because of your straight forward , no bs approach to good honest opinions and news. But these unboxing videos are just plain fun, especially this one. I was genuinely excited for you. I've been playing video games at home since the Atari 2600 came out and since the PS2 have been getting the PS consoles day 1. I'm not into cartridges at all but the virtual boy cartridge is amazing. I have never seen one before. The retro game store was a Washington State business so you know that you won't get disappointed.
That Stuntman looks like the cases we used for DVDs at Blockbuster. There used to be a long, yellow magnetized lock that would go through the bottom right hole so people couldn’t open up cases and steal the discs.
If you do this again, you should check out Pink Gorilla Games! The owners are awesome. One is the president of the Video Game History Foundation, and makes appearances on MinnMax, and the other is a Twitch Streamer who goes by DSKoopa

This is better than some I’ve seen. I remember one a couple of years back that nearly every game was something I’d see for no more than a few pounds or even just £1 in charity shops that’s included Mag, Socom Confrontation and Warhaw,those three were shutdown before the PS4 was released that’s like being given Battleborn today

Great video and I think the comments you do are fantastic. It's always fun (at least for me) to hear opinions about games and specially about retro ones.
I personally wouldn't be happy with this particular box but it wasn't "tailored" for me and what I understood was that there were lot of options to customize what'll be in it so that's great.
I found half these games at thrift stores and flea markets for about 60.00 you got taken my man.
I'm glad I came across this video. I purchased a 500 box from them and got the mintiest (even had original receipt when purchased in 1990) copy of Zelda 2 for NES. Definitely had about 600 worth of games overall. That's using ebay sold comps as reference, but that Zelda 2 definitely is worth more than the 140 they had on the box.
I do really like these videos. And we don't mind them being longer. It's great to watch

Not going to lie, I had the same reaction you did when it came to the first Vita game lol. As an avid collector of Vita/PSP my eyes also shot straight between everything to the small blue box. Also, EXTREMELY jealous of the CIB FF Tactics
If I was looking for filler titles for multiple systems this would exactly be what I would want to do. I watch Cooper's videos and when it comes to giving customers decent value with these, I think he strives to be more than fair.

I think you might have found your new mystery box supplier. haha I may actually have to do one of these mystery boxes one day maybe next Spring for Switch and PS4/PS5. I think my only instruction would be none I already own physical of (which is only about 25 titles, all pretty common).

The Mummy Playstation 1 was one of my first ever played video games. As a kid I was so scared to enter the domes or chamber that I used to just run of the outside area of Hamunaputra all the time. Growing up till today I love this game so freaking much that I’ve completed this like 5 times 😂. Both The Mummy movie as well as the game are super nostalgic to me, they’re like an important part of my childhood. Your vid just made me wanna go over at EBay and get myself a complete copy of the mummy for ps1
