Not accepting consoles because the serial numbers are missing is incredibly stupid when you can just boot the console and look at the serial numbers in the settings screen I’m also sure it’s not illegal for electronics to not have serial numbers displayed, Apple has stopped printing the serial numbers on a lot of their devices and they’re still allowed to sell them
How Gamestop ships things is really hit or miss. Last year a I Bought an Xbox One X from them and the console and controller were shipped loose in the box rattling around with no padding (However the console worked perfectly and the controller was bend new). Then I bought a refurbished Steam deck from them and it came shipped in the Steam refurbished box, inside of another fully padded shipping box.
As someone who just quit gamestop 2 weeks ago, some of the packing jobs are horrendous lol most of these should've been wrapped up in paper. We never had proper packing things at my store, so we at least stuffed as much wrapping paper over everything as we could and even wrapped the loose controllers so they wouldn't move around much, if at all. Gamestop only allows us to order certain things for the stores, and we'd have to go through our DM's to place orders, and sometimes, even then, the orders wouldn't be approved. I don't miss working there, but it pains me to see packages like that. Also, most consoles you buy online usually ship from your local Gamestop, unless they're refurbished. Then it's a 50/50 chance it either came from the store or the warehouse.
So the reason you got the wrong controller type with the Series S is because they don't swap out the controllers that they buy it with, they sell it as they get it from the stores. The giveaway that these are store consoles are the boxes with no packaging. Had they been the used ones from the warehouses, there'd at least be some paper packaging
Less than two years ago my brother bought an xbox 1x, and in the box was the original xbox 1. This was after returning an xbox 1x that had artifacts across its display even with switching hdmi cables. He went and bought a series x from walmart after returning the xbox one.

Question. So there's no way for previous owner to turn account off without having that steam deck. I have been contemplating on getting one .🤔
@eliv.1033 i believe that xan force logout all devices but the steam deck remembers login info so if they dont have steamguard active you should be able to get back in. Steam guard generates a random code on every new login.
@@eliv.1033 I don't really know. But I got it with 20 installed games , though the total games on the account is 200. I can still log in on his account and redownload games as I please.
@@eliv.1033 No. Owner could report it to Valve as stolen, but you could ask the previous owner for a receipt.
This is some serious lawsuits if someone wants to sue them.
In the UK, we have a store called the Complete Entertainment Exchange, or C.E.X., which is essentially the British equivalent of GameStop. However, they refuse to buy back items that were originally purchased from them
That's not true. I've sold them games, movies and consoles that still had their receipts in the packaging, or the cex stickers on the box, from when I bought them from them, and they never once refused to buy them from me.
@@dennett316I can only share my own experience and perspective, and I respect that your viewpoint might differ. Just because your experience is different doesn't make mine any less valid.
Damn, actually shocked to find out I paid less for my switch oled second hand, complete in box (200 euro's). Big yikes on that 240 dollars for a launch version switch, although you may have the advantage of it being hackable.
I bought EVERY HACKABLE GameStop Console and UPGRADED THEM...
As an SL for a GameStop, seeing the packaging for some of these boxes made me insanely depressed LMAO
Like yall need console specialists
My brother (who is mentally handicapped) traded in his Switch OLED to Gamestop last week and they CHARGED HIM $60 TO REMOVE AN ACCOUNT HE LEFT ON IT without telling him and gave him only $80 in Store Credit for the entire console because of this. I was furious to say the least.
Not accepting consoles because the serial numbers are missing is incredibly stupid when you can just boot the console and look at the serial numbers in the settings screen
I’m also sure it’s not illegal for electronics to not have serial numbers displayed, Apple has stopped printing the serial numbers on a lot of their devices and they’re still allowed to sell them
Denki is just asserting dominance over us casual Hololive fans with his Suisei Tshirt.
Happy birthday austin evans
Also tells you a lot about Game stop when they're to cheap not putting packing material in the boxes.
Clicked on the video knowing full well they were going to get scammed.
Not sure if they bring down the price in-store, but the website is showing much higher values than what y'all got.
26:37 😂😂😂 IT WAS IN THAT MOMENT HE KNEW HE .... 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 Austin Face
Iam definetely subscibe !! Love ur content and its hillarious😂
So the reason you got the wrong controller type with the Series S is because they don't swap out the controllers that they buy it with, they sell it as they get it from the stores. The giveaway that these are store consoles are the boxes with no packaging. Had they been the used ones from the warehouses, there'd at least be some paper packaging
was sad gamestop was going out of business until i saw this
Funny the ad before this video for me was LTT with Linus doing a commercial for buildredux lol!
Less than two years ago my brother bought an xbox 1x, and in the box was the original xbox 1. This was after returning an xbox 1x that had artifacts across its display even with switching hdmi cables. He went and bought a series x from walmart after returning the xbox one.
GameStop is only still in business cus it’s easier to trade in ur consoles there instead of going through shady online selling.
make a vid reviewing the nex player
The OEM Xbox One power supply has a fan in it too. I know, because mine got really noisy after a few years.
The 3ds has been so expensive since around when the eshop closed
after seeing all these consoles in such a bad state, makes me wonder some people in this world don't deserve what they have
Gamestop has ruined the lives of employees and stolen from every customer in history. And you just can't wait to give them money every chance you get. It's made me question your integrity heavily.
