      Don't compare yourself with anyone because if a peacock will try to be a chicken then he will just water himself doing nothing but just self disrespect.

      YES. I spent years thinking what is wrong with me and now that tiktok is full of those videos of describing (mostly false or unreasonable) symptoms i just thought okay so im faking it because im unable to do anything so i am using this for an excuse. But since I started "research", looking on professional stuff and not random people on tiktok, EVERYTHING started to make sense and hearing the discriprions, such as the fog, or paralysis made me understand everything. there is nothing wrong with me, my brain just works differently.

    I have ADD and have experienced everything you spoke of. It's debilitating and affects my self esteem. I have been tackling home projects by focusing on one simple thing for a limited time, allowing breaks. Yard projects, finishing one thing before starting another, even if it takes weeks or months depending on weather. It is helping. Still working on finding a good fit for employment. Heii, I'm too in the process of finding out I probably have adhd and for me it really helped (even if it sounds stupid of doctors nowadays bc somehow a lot of them say it's a trend diagnosis, when just through social meida more people learn) anyways, for me it really helped to watch more content on tiktok, insta, youtube, Podcasts. Listen to people that have it, I see myself in a lot and now it all makes sense. My life makes sense
      Still not diagnosed but I'm pretty sure this is the thing that is my problem (from differnt mental health disorders like anxiety & depression, I was diagnosed before ‐ look into comorbidity if you see yourself its more common than you think, bc being undiagnosed)

    • @nichelbichel6464
      @nichelbichel6464 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I personally think it's fine to self diagnose, because even if it's wrong, your life might get better with the tips, tricks and way of viewing things from ADHDer.
      It's at least much better, than constantly questioning yourself, if you're just the worst person to exit and be oblivious of the symptoms.
      But it's hard to convey this to neurotypical people, they simply don't understand.
      I heard a neat analogy to ADHD Paralysis:
      A= neurodivergent
      B= neurotypical
      A: Why can't you put your hand on a hot plate?
      B: Because I'll burn myself
      A: But you can technically do it, you have the muscle knowledge to put your hand on it, do it, it's not that hard!
      B: 'attempts it, but stops before touching'
      B: Ah I just can't, my brain physically won't let me do it!!!
      A: Exactly. Now imagine I told you to drink or eat sth, go shower, do the dishes. With Adhd paralysis, we WANT to do the thing, but we just can't get started. We just can't touch the plate, do the task, because our brain won't let us or makes it really hard to fight against it.
      B: 'looks at hand'
      B: I- I am so sorry I always thought you were lazy!
      Hope you find your answer ^^`

      @SumaiyaIslamNirjona well, about that, you have to train your brain to focus on the small details of certain tasks, like, for example, remembering to pay bills and rent or wash the dishes. I take medicine for it as well to stimulate the parts of the brain that help me to focus better.

Adderal helps some but being female, menopausal and ADHD holy crap some times the mood swings and depression feels too much to take any longer. Not to mention a husband who even after 30 yrs has very little patience for what I go through. Some days it’s all I can do to get out of bed 30mins before he gets home and pretend it’s been a good day! Glad there’s a name for what I experience just wish there was a cure too!!

      everyone has something that they want to get rid of, but it always comes back. Awareness that other people have problems and that they are difficult to solve. Avoiding the problem or confronting it?, Will it go away if i avoid it?. Having a routine does help a lot with ADHD, hobbies too. Confronting the partner and try to solve the miscommunication is one of the best tools for having a good relationship, or maybe its just better to just lock up all the problems and when it is too big, well, it became a big monster that its way too scary to confront, smiling, hoping that it doesn't roam free.

I've been telling my parents how hard it was getting, again they didn't let me take a break. My parents took me to a behavioral center when I couldn't calm down. Eventually, it was late, and the doctors decided I didn't have to stay in the patient. The next morning I had to go to school.

    I heard a girl somewhere say something like “I’m working my ass of everyday to complete tasks that you don’t even consider tasks.” Maybe some of you can relate to the way I feel and that’s guilty for being “lazy” and tired all the damn time. So tired that I oversleep till the afternoon and struggle to get out of bed, struggle to spend time with friends, struggle to just move from a chair to the kitchen and back- everything feels exhausting. I feel stressed out and guilty because I’m not doing any of my hobbies or obligations. Skipping my school work and not making art, just lazing around. I’m starting to bounce back but I’m seeing that it’s so hard to let go of the feeling that I’m lazy instead of just burned out. All these things considered so easy to neurotypical people have me crying and angry and numb- heck I’m mad that I have to spend a day mentally preparing to get into a shower! This line that Taylor Swift said about her song this is me trying has been stuck in my head all day (yes I’m a swiftie). “No one’s patting these people on the back everyday but everyday they’re actively fighting something.” Im not sure what to do about my feelings or how to change things and I definitely haven’t worked through ALL of little problems but i know I’ll be doing better again after some rest and I really hope anyone who feels this way too knows that you will feel better and on top of the world soon and even if you struggle with a bunch of stuff that, that doesn’t change your worth or how special you are. This video is very helpful for me! I was diagnosed with severe ADHD in 6th grade, and most times I do feel lazy or overwhelmed. I just started junior year of high school and have band practice most days in each week, so I’m gonna have a lot on my plate this year. It’s easy for me to blame myself for getting up too much and not working; I think a lot of it stems from 8th grade (my COVID year), and that year was a gauntlet. Hopefully I can keep going, and get the ball rolling the rest of the year. I would suggest making a video about practice habits to stay focus, if there are any! Thanks for the vid!

    So as somebody with ADHD we definitely need to be careful with saying were not just lazy as the excuse as to why we don't do anything. I think saying "It's my ADHD! That's why my life sucks." Instead of addressing the problems with the disorder and actually look up tools in order to combat it so that we can all have better and more productive lives. To me especially because of Tik Tok I've seen too many self diagnosed people blaming ADHD for their position in life.

    For the way, it goes here at my house I’ll get labeled as being lazy, but in reality the way it feels emotionally that I feel as what this video suggests is burn out, that I just feel an overwhelming sense of not wanting to do anything because I’m tired, bored, and all of what I’m interested in, stuff that I typically have had a huge passion for, I just don’t have as high an interest in it anymore and a lot of it makes me feel emotionally drained

    I recently broke up with my partner, who had ADHD burnout for the entire 2 years I lived with her. No matter how much support I offered, it wouldn’t alleviate her overwhelmed feelings, and she felt very absent in the relationship. After having done a lot of research, I see that I didn’t understand what was going on. But even knowing what was happening, it would still have been incredibly hard.
    Now I’m drowning in grief over losing her and I’m the one constantly burnt out.

    If you feel like this, YOU DESERVE A BREAK! please take my advice as you may not realise you are burned out and become fixated on improving at work / do more next week etc. Trust me a week to unwind may be just what you need and most importantly what you deserve for being you. We have a Ferrari for a brain, but with no brakes. I promise it is just burnout and you are good enough. Hope this helps even one person😊

    As someone with ADHD, there is one big, important word I can give to others struggling with ADHD: DELEGATE, especially at work. The ADHD mind becomes VERY easily overwhelmed, and if you don't take a load off from time to time, especially when it is busy, you will quickly suffer burnout and be confused and unable to work well. If your job threatens to cut you off because of it, go to your HR department. Explain your situation and see what can be done.
    Another important thing to do is to occasionally get away from it all. Take a day out of the month or even week to do what YOU want.

    I relate to all of the symptoms described in the video. I was never an energetic or a particulary motivated or ambitious person, but over the past few years it has gotten so much worse. The extreme exhaustion - sometimes I lay down for 20 mins in the middle of making my bed or changing sheets. Task paralysis - knowing I should do something and I just can't bring myself to do it. Brain fog - yes, many times waking up feeling like I'm kind of high even though I don't do drugs. Struggling really bad to concentrate (can't read books anymore but I loved reading them as a child), feeling overwhelmed and anxious if I have to multitask. Getting overwhelmed if too many things are attacking my senses at once - noises, lights, smells. Messed up sleep schedule - most likely delayed sleep phase disorder.
    I've gotten my burnout somewhat under control since spending a few months on sick leave and getting back on the correct dosage of antidepressant, but I still deal with all the stuff mentioned above. I'm getting the diagnostic process for ADHD started in April with a psychiatrist specialized in ADHD, since my current psychiatrist seems to think that depression and anxiety are the only mental ilnesses out there.

    i would argue laziness just doesn't exist. according to social psychologist devon price on his article in medium, he says " I don’t believe that laziness exists." and that "There are always barriers. Recognizing those barriers- and viewing them as legitimate - is often the first step to breaking “lazy” behavior patterns."
    which could be something like ADHD burnout, or more simply just general confusion of whats going on, perhaps stress of life, stress over work, or a wide variety of factors thats at play. the biggest problem is people do not think there is issues and think it boils down to "excuses" or other nonsense, when in reality those problems could very well be problems in life, work environment, or simply a mental illness. but when it comes to completing tasks and demanding them by a deadline, usually the stress is not good.

    I feel like I'm overwhelmed by everything even though I have some simple tasks to do, when it comes to doing something I like, I completely am isolated from my surroundings for example when I draw something or learn a new language, but it all goes away when wanting to do a simple task, I feel stressed, anxious and overwhelmed by a lot of thoughts at once, to the extent that I started feeling that I live in a dream and it turned out I've encountered a psychological condition called ( de-realization), it feels like that none of what you experience is real even though you are aware of this feeling but you still can't tell if you're going to die if you jump off the roof.... All of these feelings are accompanied by complete exhaustion, disgust, tiredness, scattering, and generally not wanting to do anything even if it was only to talk to someone, this is how I feel now

    you can think of depression, as deep rest. Depre - deep, press - rest.
    It's like the bodies way of telling you that you REALLY need sleep, and like, RIGHT now.
