It's good to know that I'm not alone. I've been diagnosed with ADHD since third grade, and my worst struggles are overthinking things people say, looking back on the past negatively, thinking about very weird things in the moment when I'm with my friends, and hyper-impulsivity.
I'm not sure people will even look at this but I entered this video because I was stressed and I remembered that she has a soothing voice 🙂 Everything is good now, at least better
I love this art style, and I have both so thank you for talking about adhd and anxiety, my parents tend to ignore that I have it even tho I've been legally diagnosed
ADHD runs in my family, and my mother has anxiety and thinks I do too. I have a life coach, and I haven't been diagnosed, but I do have a feeling it's both.
This video is useful for people to understand loved ones with ADHD&Anxiety. Understanding “consistent inconsistency,” a common element of life with ADHD, is key to understanding the persistent anxiety of living with ADHD. “Consistent inconsistency” describes the distrust and uncertainty in yourself that builds up after years of experiencing ADHD symptoms such as inattention, overwhelm, memory lapses, and more. “Consistent inconsistency” is knowing, for example, that a task needs to be accomplished, but doubting the ability to get it done. Hope never dies, people can find the best coping mechanism to feel better.

i fluctuate between thinking rationally and telling myself to chill and reverting back to the worst realization of my life over and over when i’m very stressed
This means a lot to me personally. I'm going to make a bet, that out of all family and friends, less than 4 will take the time to help raise awareness of Mental Health (PTSD, depression, anxiety, and other mental health diagnoses) difficulties.
I just started micro dosing psilo-cybin as treatment for my depression and anxiety, right now i feel better. i heard about this treatment months ago, i wish i did start earlier.

I actually do have both. I was diagnosed with them at a very young age. I've actually never been medicated for either of them. All of these are extremely relateble.
I’m gonna be honest, I just have ADHD, I went to a Psychologist when I was young, I have ADHD and Autism, I have been getting treated, I’ve started to get more organized, not fully organized, but just organized in some areas, this is a nice channel to go to sometimes, feels like you’re helping things get a little better, thank you
I don't have ADHD, but I already knew that I have anxiety and I don't know why but I instantly started crying when I saw the "no escape" point. I guess I feel like I can't escape myself. I should really talk to a specialist. Good luck on your own journey, everyone.
Now that I’m thinking about it, this channel helped me to identify my symptoms of adhd and anxiety and helped me to have to courage to come out to my parents that I think there’s something different about me. Thank you! My life has changed so much for the better thanks to you guys!
This was so helpful.... For the past years it's like there's been this thing that makes me different, there's been this blank space, this question, and with a single video it all comes together. Things finally make sense. Thank you...
I don’t mean to denounce anyones conditions but, I do believe many mental struggles can be relieved by conquering your mind. I grew up severely shy and anxious, the only thing I ever did was force myself into uncomfortable situations and I found eventually nothing I wanted to do was as scary as I thought. But I do completely understand that some people do have problems that require help or treatment, and more power to all of you for taking the steps to help yourselves. 👍🏻🙏🏻
Hello, friends! I'm a little late to the party, but I wanted to share some advice. Don't forget that it can get better! It might feel impossible to get better right now, but ADHD and anxiety isn't always life long, and ADHD and anxiety don't define who you are, either. And if you want to get better, you can take some steps, and you *will* get better. Keep going! You got this, friend! 🤍🤍🤍
For focus, I'm hard of hearing, but I also do have a difficult time focusing on tasks for a long period of time, especially with talking to other people. It's confusing if I have ADHD because of this, but I'm not going to just diagnose myself. But I do find myself being anxious all the time.
I have anxiety social anxiety and adhd and I have been showing some symptoms of OCD. I have been anxious about me forgetting something because of social anxiety and adhd. My teachers would get frustrated because they would tell me how to solve a problem and I wouldn’t be listening because I would be focusing on wether or not I was saying the right thing and constantly over analyzing every conversation. This video was so helpful about understanding both (:
I would fall in the both category. At times, I've dealt with Anxiety, and struggled with many distractions in my life. It's affected me to the point, I would skip meals like Breakfast because I'm heavily locked on my computer doing work, but also fidgeting at times because I fear the time is wasting when I take a break from my work.
I've been diagnosed with both but it's hard to tell what's what sometimes. Simplest way to put it is I spend most of my time thinking to myself, and inside my own head, whether good thoughts or bad
When i was young i got ADHD medication, it made my thought silent, but it destroyed my concentration. I also got overwhelmed with anxiety because the silence made me feel like i was missing something, and i had trouble forming thoughts despite having more room for them.
My bff is diagnosed with anxiety and I have ADHD but I'm undiagnosed currently And this helped me and I think I might have both. Thank you psych2go your awesome.❤
I had awful anxiety for a long time. I'm doing much better now, although i still have struggles from time to time... but it was refreshing to watch a video that validated how I felt, and that it wasn't all in my head. 😊 Edit a year later: I believe I have ADHD, as well. Just wanted to say thank you again!
I have anxiety and ADHD but i already knew that before watching this. I just wanted to take this as a chance to realise how my brain is feeling. I have RSD so when i get corrected or get told to stop doing something it ruins my morals completely. My mum has actually just told me it is possible i have autism so a video showing do you have autism for both girls and boys. Boys and girls have different symptoms. If you ever do or already have that would be great!
I actually relate to all of these signs. I knew I had ADHD, but now I know anxiety is also on the list as well. As if my life wasn't already difficult enough.😮💨
I'm having the exact same problem I have a lot of tension about everything i worry about studies, i worry about my future Career i worry about my mental and physical health, and a lot of stuff it's a burden when you have a toxic family who Gaslight you but I'll do my best to get out of this situation and move out once I'm 18
As someone who has already gone through what you have, do it! It's so much better for your health and your mind will become more clear. Make a plan for where you want to go and for how long you want to stay in your new future home. And plan your budget ahead of time.
I moved out when I turned 20 so don't rush it btw. I wasn't ready but had no choice other than move out. If you have a choice, stay with your toxic family and grow your money until you can be financialy stable enough to pay rent for the next 3 months after you leave on your own.
I feel like this is the only advice I can really give you if you really are going to go through with moving out. If you do, I'm rooting for you! I know how bad it is to live with a toxix family always breathing down your back and constantly gaslighting you and I wouldn't want that upon anybody else. Good luck friend! I know you can do it 👊
I am diagnosed with both. I was told if you treat one of the disorder’s the other one will level out. NOT TRUE I was on just anxiety medication by it’s self. Then ADHD medication by it’s self and finally both medications. The ADHD is daily and the anxiety is as needed. Life’s still a struggle sometimes but manageable 😊
I have anxiety and my psychiatrist is currently checking if I have ADHD as well. If I do, it’s mild, but my mind is sometimes all over the place and my body can feel uncomfortable cause I have this chaos feeling inside like I can’t control it, and I can’t focus properly sometimes. I’m very restrictive and intelligent though so I don’t have the biggest problems with health nor school, and I’m very grateful for that. What knocks me out is my anxiety. For 6 months I felt miserable and could barely do everyday tasks without being overwhelmed and having panic attacks. I had hard times going out and doing school but I got help and medication and I’m in a lot better place now tho I will say I still struggle sometimes, but it’s MUCH more manageable now. To everyone out there who is struggling, no matter what you’re struggling with, you’re so strong. Keep going but remember to take breaks and prioritise yourself and your health. You got this.
I've been clinically diagnosed with both for over a decade and had difficulty just focusing on this video even though I was HIGHLY interested in watching. 🙁
The thing that led to my ADHD diagnosis at 33 was a very persistent anxiety disorder. My therapist couldn't figure out why I'm not improving despite CBT and kept saying there must be something else. Well, she was right.
I get scare easily and move around a lot and my dad always tels me to "Breathe" and "I'm being anxious" which I always believe but my mom says I am too young to know if I have anxiety or not (I'm 12 and turning 13 in october), also one time my mom walked into my room to tell me to do something and when I looked at her she said It looked like I have ADHD. Usually when I talk about my little brother who has ADHD, my dad says I act like that too sometimes which surprises me. I saw this video and thought this might be very helpful knwing you guys since 4th grade being bored inside during the pandemic. And it helped a lot, I do almost all of these things 24/7 and knowing that I might have these makes me say "We'll have to find out". Thanks a bunch
I was always diagnosed with an anxiety disorder but few years ago i received an adhd diagnosis and so many things in my life make sense. Only if they could start with the adhd diagnosis first, it wouldn't be this difficult
I've been a fan of your channel for a while now, and I always appreciate the quality of your content. You do a great job of explaining complex psychological concepts in a way that is both engaging and informative.
My anxiety started when i was 10, when i would try to sleep i started to feel scared and i would have panick attacks because it felt like i couldnt breathe, feeling anxious in public surroundings or different situations. I still deal with social anxiety but i have gotten use to it on how to cope and its not as bad
Thanks, I was aware I only have anxiety but still wanted to watch the video and yep, only anxiety, I don't relate to ADHD, I'm quite the opposite, specially when being impulsive, I'm an overthinker lmao
i'm currently waiting for a diagnose for ADHD.. aftr watching this i'm 99% sure i have anxiety as well because my heart will NOT stop pounding. i'm always anxious even when im talking with my friends, i can still feel my heart beating pretty hard,,, it's so overwhelming tbh
What is the power of attention? It is the skill of focusing your attention on a thought or action without thinking of anything else. It means fixing the attention without wavering, exclusively on one thing. The one who follows the thought is also a thought! The one who follows the thought IS in thought. When you know that both are thoughts, you are home. You are not at home, you ARE home. Then allow thoughts to arise and allow them to be followed. You remain as That unmoved and unconcerned Being. This is the highest understanding.
Sorry Idk what your preferred pronouns are but I can’t figure out how to edit the comment, I’m really sorry if the pronoun I used in this comment is incorrect.
Watching those videos and trying to find an accurate self-diagnosis before I can finally go to a professional and get an actual diagnosis, it's been hard to deal with something I'm not completely sure about what it even is.
Psych2Go, I just want to say thank you for making videos that are both instresting and comforting to watch. Everytime I feel like poop, watching you always seems to calm me down and make me feel less stressed. Idk if it's your voice of you keeping my interest up but thanks.
I relate to all. I believe I have ADHD and Anxiety and have for over 2 years now. It took a long time to convince my parents to let me see someone about it, but all they did was slightly mention it to my family doctor. Oh how badly I wanted to speak up and actually say my view and how I was feeling!!…. But I was too anxious to speak and just sat their quietly, fidgeting with my fingers and zipper, feeling like things are crawling on me while lightly tapping my leg. 🙃❤️
Okay I’ve self diagnosed my self with ADHD but this vid tells me more that I do have ADHD and anxiety too, I can’t take care of myself I don’t listen in class but I have supper good grades. I’ve gotten so many fidgets and sketches books taken away in class but then I doze off and then get in trouble I have no idea how my teachers haven’t thought something is wrong with me…
I have both and it sucks. Not to mention I'm also in an avoidant. I hate it all so much. I've had time where I've wanted to distract myself but knew that if I stayed at home or went out, I'd be anxious and fidget. Relationships are hard too
Pretty sure i have both. I know for sure i got mild adhd but i think i also have slightly less mild anxiety on top of that which made schooling extremely stressful and social cues are still hard to pick up on which i find so annoying because i dont understand them easily.

Finally, the fear of the inescapable seizes you, for it comes after you slowly and invincibly. - Carl Gustav Jung, The Red Book: Liber Novus
i have autism and GAD along with a mood disorder and schizophrenic and a bad sleeping disorder i know how it is to not be able to sleep because my head want stop
I feel your pain to a extent thewl whole life just being a slog it feels like your dragging your self through while everyone is sprinting though with ease. You feel handicapped cause you got to run thought waist high water in a race and everyone gets to race on dry land.
My son suffers with ADHD and a bit of anxiety. It is very challenging for us but these videos help 💙
I just want to thank you for your videos! Because without them I don’t think I ever would have been properly diagnosed with ADHD!
The animation is INCREDIBLE! Beautiful job by animator swishtrush!
I've known I've had anxiety, but this helped me so much!
Thank you for watching. How are you doing now? How have you been managing your anxiety symptoms?
@@Psych2go Well, I've made an anxiety box, which helps me a lot! It's full of stuff that is stress-relieving
It's great to hear that you've been managing your symptoms. Thank you so much for sharing and we're glad that the video and the anxiety box have helped you with your stress!
I've had a suspicion that I might have anxiety or ADHD for a long while now, but it never occured to me that I might actually have both. I show a lot of symptoms that were mentioned for both anxiety and ADHD in the video, so thank you for helping me to better understand the symptoms.
I’ve been diagnosed ADHDH when I was 5 years old, now with 17 I learned how to control my contidion, I am happier than ever, sometimes it doesn’t seem that I have ADHD, your videos are always interesting, keep going 🙌🏼
This was helpful for confirming my suspicions are worth checking into more fully. I've suspected that I have adhd, dyslexia, anxiety and maybe even hsp (though that could be from the other 3). It's nice seeing the comparisons and contrasts.
Yeah the phone and scrolling to try to cancel out my negative thoughts just makes it worse cause I end up doom scrolling and seeing negative stuff like literally does everybody have to be so negative and hateful and when I see something that irks me I just respond like I can't even stop myself!
Swishtrush did such a good job with this animation like omg. Looks wonderful!
thank u, I really needed this .
I cant go to a therapist atm, so Im just trying to learn more about ADHD 😭😭
When you mentioned constant moving and not getting comfortable, I couldn’t sit still for the rest of the video.
I’ve been medically diagnosed with ADHD and Anxiety since i was young. I’m glad to learn that it isnt weird or odd to have both c:
I never felt “normal”. I love this channel and this video. I love that this video makes somewhat “normal” because I have ADHD and anxiety. 😍❤️
I have a diagnose autism and also took a diagnose test of ADHD which I didn't know about until I told my parents about my symptoms and how they are quite similar to those of a person with ADHD. Back in the day I was not diagnosed with ADHD but seeing videos like this make me believe that there's a pretty good chance I have it
Just curious how did this diagnosis come about? I’ve been learning a bit about both for my own sake and would love to hear your story
I loved everything about this video. The information and the animation too. Thank you for creating meaningful content for our mental health! 💚
Thank you for the kind words! We appreciate you for watching and we sincerely hope that our content will have a positive impact on your mental health! :)
It's good to know that I'm not alone. I've been diagnosed with ADHD since third grade, and my worst struggles are overthinking things people say, looking back on the past negatively, thinking about very weird things in the moment when I'm with my friends, and hyper-impulsivity.
I'm not sure people will even look at this but I entered this video because I was stressed and I remembered that she has a soothing voice 🙂
Everything is good now,
at least better
I knew I noticed my childhood friend @ 3:12, "Marlie as I used to call him" but the pokemon is Marill. I like your taste in plushies! I got mine in 2009-2010, timeframe I was only a kid but I loved that toy and I still have it on my shelf today.
same here!
i fluctuate between thinking rationally and telling myself to chill and reverting back to the worst realization of my life over and over when i’m very stressed
The art is just too adorable 🥺💙 I cant focus 😅
This means a lot to me personally. I'm going to make a bet, that out of all family and friends, less than 4 will take the time to help raise awareness of Mental Health (PTSD, depression, anxiety, and other mental health diagnoses) difficulties.
Mental health is what someone should take seriously now.. many people smiling but not really happy. Stay safe out there
I just started micro dosing psilo-cybin as treatment for my depression and anxiety, right now i feel better. i heard about this treatment months ago, i wish i did start earlier.
@@lucasfrancisca47 what is micro dosing?
@@brandoncristina75 Micro dosing is consuming very low, sub-hallucinogenic doses of a psychedelic substance, for treating alcohol and tobacco dependence (Addiction), depression and end-of-life anxiety, OCD and also for treating BPD and PTSD
All shrooms has lots of benefits. I got to know about them too through Dr_fredey. He guided me with products and best recommendations
The fact that doctors in my area don't know what adhd was, made me sad.
I needed this.
I needed this!
(I’m currently being tested for one of those)
Why I think I have anxiety
-hard to breath when im in social settings
-overthinking
-fatigue
-Lacked intreset in hobbies
-Sometimes I have sleep problems
-No idea what to do with my future
-I can't talk to someone about my emotions because I'll start panicking
-I can't controll my own thoughts
I actually do have both. I was diagnosed with them at a very young age. I've actually never been medicated for either of them. All of these are extremely relateble.
I'm crying because I'm stuck in this loop, right now. I'm so glad that this exists. ❤
Whoever did the animation/art for this video knocked it out of the park, this is gorgeous!
Thanks for the kind words! Which part of the video helped make sense of your situation?
This is just what I needed, I think I have anxiety though💀
For focus, I'm hard of hearing, but I also do have a difficult time focusing on tasks for a long period of time, especially with talking to other people. It's confusing if I have ADHD because of this, but I'm not going to just diagnose myself. But I do find myself being anxious all the time.
I know I and adhd and anxiety and my anxiety is so bad that I'm on medicine for it but watching these helped me so much thank you
I have anxiety social anxiety and adhd and I have been showing some symptoms of OCD.
I can not exaggerate enough about how much I've been trying to separate the two in my everyday life. Thank you for this!
Wow... I love the art style and color pellets on this one♡
When i was young i got ADHD medication, it made my thought silent, but it destroyed my concentration. I also got overwhelmed with anxiety because the silence made me feel like i was missing something, and i had trouble forming thoughts despite having more room for them.
This video explained me in entirety like it explained to me things I thought were just me having something wrong with me
My bff is diagnosed with anxiety and I have ADHD but I'm undiagnosed currently
And this helped me and I think I might have both. Thank you psych2go your awesome.❤
I had awful anxiety for a long time. I'm doing much better now, although i still have struggles from time to time... but it was refreshing to watch a video that validated how I felt, and that it wasn't all in my head. 😊
Edit a year later: I believe I have ADHD, as well. Just wanted to say thank you again!
You should make a video on Rejection Sensitivity Disphoria (RSD). That's where most of my anxiety comes from as someone who's autistic and ADHD.
I have none of these symptoms, and yet my recommendation shared this video to me.
I actually relate to all of these signs. I knew I had ADHD, but now I know anxiety is also on the list as well. As if my life wasn't already difficult enough.😮💨
This is off topic, but when I get angry, I try to relax myself. But sometimes I let go of the barrier and I get mad. But I’ll get there.
This video helped me understand the way I am the way I am and how I can help myself
I know you can do it 👊
@@EearnestEmi thankyou for the advice i really appreciate it i hope that you live a good life.
@@nicholasleipzig5448 it's slowly getting better since I moved out. I hope it gets better for you as well if you do move out ^^
I am diagnosed with both.
These vids give me comfort when no one else can
Thank you
Thanks to you I start to ask my parents if I do have ADHD just in case cause I relate to many. I’m still not sure but thank you!😊
I've been clinically diagnosed with both for over a decade and had difficulty just focusing on this video even though I was HIGHLY interested in watching. 🙁
I’ve researched on both, and I’m pretty sure I have both. Thanks so much.
I had both, so I applaud your efforts to raise awareness regarding the conditions.
The thing that led to my ADHD diagnosis at 33 was a very persistent anxiety disorder. My therapist couldn't figure out why I'm not improving despite CBT and kept saying there must be something else. Well, she was right.
this was a cute expressive art style for the show. and the anxiety is hit and miss but i have no doubt at all that i have undiagnosed ADHD
Don't forget, ppl without either condition can also have these feelings.
I've been a fan of your channel for a while now, and I always appreciate the quality of your content. You do a great job of explaining complex psychological concepts in a way that is both engaging and informative.
1:43 I can’t help but loveee the animation its adorable
My anxiety started when i was 10, when i would try to sleep i started to feel scared and i would have panick attacks because it felt like i couldnt breathe, feeling anxious in public surroundings or different situations. I still deal with social anxiety but i have gotten use to it on how to cope and its not as bad
I love how i already know I have ADHD but i watch these to show I have ADHD and agree with these
Would be good if you talked about inattentive adhd
Thanks, I was aware I only have anxiety but still wanted to watch the video and yep, only anxiety, I don't relate to ADHD, I'm quite the opposite, specially when being impulsive, I'm an overthinker lmao
i'm currently waiting for a diagnose for ADHD.. aftr watching this i'm 99% sure i have anxiety as well because my heart will NOT stop pounding. i'm always anxious
even when im talking with my friends, i can still feel my heart beating pretty hard,,, it's so overwhelming tbh
When I was watching part three I noticed my heart was beating super fast and my hands where sweaty as she said that those where symptoms of anxiety.
Sorry Idk what your preferred pronouns are but I can’t figure out how to edit the comment, I’m really sorry if the pronoun I used in this comment is incorrect.
Please make one for OCD - I'm thinking I might have exactly they, but I don't have enough time to go to diagnostics; that would really help!
the art for this video was beautiful
stop the entire video basically summed up everything i feel 💀
There are soooooo many helpful strategies, to manage these things.
You have such a calming voice
The felling of i dont want to do anythink in school and little bit after just to become hyperactive when you need to sleep
Relationships are hard too
I enjoyed the Cult of the Lamb inspired animations ❤🐏🐑
I saw the title of this video and laughed a little because I am diagnosed with both
I have anxiety and I think Imay also have ADHD. Besides that, I do feel better and informed. Thanks again🥰😮💨
Pretty sure i have both. I know for sure i got mild adhd but i think i also have slightly less mild anxiety on top of that which made schooling extremely stressful and social cues are still hard to pick up on which i find so annoying because i dont understand them easily.
