I restored my dad's ANTIQUE cedar chest

With construction moving along, I wasn't allowed to do any work on my rental house. In the meantime I decided to do something in honor of my dad by restoring this beautiful antique cedar chest.

What stain brand and color did you use ?????

I know it was Verathane, I think I used natural

@@rollingstoner2487 test just a little bit on the bottom or something, somewhere you won't see it. If you like it, keep going. I'm fairly certain I went with natural because it really came alive when i took the old finish off

Exact same cedar chest I have. Please remove the auto-lock, as kids can get trapped inside and suffocate. Don’t they smell wonderful inside

This definitely doesn't lock closed. I filled it with my dads pictures. Once I get some things sorted out I'm going to scan them and make them a screensaver or something
