- I got a set of @PrinsuRacks ridgline grab handles for a good deal along with the @bajadesigns rock lights. I wanted to find a way to connect the lights to my Bed light switch to use them as area lighting. After some searching on Tacoma World, I found out how to do it. I hope this video helps and if you have any questions just leave a comment!

Freaking awesome!!
Definitely a great mod to save spots on the switch pro 👌🏽
dang dat offroad rig is cleannnn no scratches. get in da rhino grass brahh
Really dope install.
@@flynfresh3166 I appreciate it!
@@LuauTaco were you ever planning on switching the switch on a 4-8 gang switch pod? I ask because I like how you integrated it with your entry lights. if switching to a switch pod would that still be possible?
@@flynfresh3166 are you asking if I would be able to wire it to my switch pro?
I believe the Prinsu handles light cut out was designed specifically around the Baja rock lights. Since then Prinsu has developed their own camp light to fit as well. I can’t say but I’d guess the Baja lights are better overall.
I have 4 handles installed with getting these lights in mind so I really appreciate the video.
It’s been a year since you posted the video. How are you liking the setup now? Looks great.
Yup. They fit the Baja rock lights perfectly. I personally don’t have experience with the prinsu lights but, I’m sure they’re another good option for sure.
I’m glad you enjoyed the video and the lights are still running strong with no issues.
I'm hesitant to pull the trigger on these high-priced handles, but I def need & want them. Question: what's stopping someone from buying some additional hardware and installing these in the long slots instead for more placement options?
You could definitely adjust where you put them. All depends where you need/want the handles if you don’t want them in the “normal” spots.
Nice! No need to take up a Switch-Pros slot this way!
Exactly. And you can still turn them on and off as you need
Sick !🙌🏽
looks good. do the baja design lights fit the same as the prinsu lights or did you modify a little?
Where did you get the wire?
Did you buy that wire like part of the Baja Designs Wire kit?
@@fredosfitness3358 I made the wiring harness myself.
@ just bought it on Amazon?
Did you run the 4 rack light to a harness with a fuse and relay? Or just positive and negative direct to the wires mentioned?
No fuse or relay. The switch I wired it to already has one. All the lights are still running just fine too.
@@LuauTaco Awesome, thanks for the response!
@@MRtacoma22 no problem. Hope it works out for you 🤙🏽
Can you do a video of how bright they are at night ?
Where did u get those from if u could provide the link I’d really appreciate it thank you
Looking for the lights or the handles?
@@LuauTaco the handles bro
@@chuyhdz3082 you get get them from any prinsu distributor I believe.
@@LuauTaco how much did you pay for all 4 ? The Baja rock light fits perfectly in the handles ?
@@chuyhdz3082 roughly 500 for the handles. And yes you can mount the Baja lights directly in them
hey friend, how did you connect your rock lights to your tacoma? did you change the wiring to connect it to the bed light switch?
Bridged all the rock lights together and then tapped the wire for the bed light switch.
That’s gonna be my next project
Nice! Hope this helps you out.
My idol
How much is the draw in all those? No issues with battery drainage?
www.bajadesigns.com/products/led-rock-light/
No issues
Is that not way too much current going through that 20+ gauge wire?
Nah. Should be fine.
🥳
hey friend, how did you connect your rock lights to your tacoma? did you change the wiring to connect it to the bed light switch?
The Baja lights didn’t have any harness with them. It was just pos and neg wires that I bridged together and connected to a mutual ground and the green wire for the bed light switch
@@LuauTaco Do you think that could be done with the original harness only at the end by eliminating the fuse and the on/off switch. and adding only the negative and positive cable at the end to connect it directly to the bed light, I hope you can help me, thank you
@@AlexLopez-v6s I think that would work. Pretty much the same thing that I did but I just made my own “harness”.
@@LuauTaco thank you very much 🤜🤛
