Perfect Roof Rack Camping Light Install on the Jeep! + HIDDEN 8 Port Auxiliary Switchs

- This is something that I have been wanting to do to with my Jeep since the moment I got my roof rack... & Today it finally happened! We installed a Vivid Lumen 8 Port Aux Switch secretly hidden in the centre console along with 6 Vivid Lumen Work Lights between the Rhino Rack and the roof! These roof lights are perfect for camping, off-roading, or just lighting up the yard when im trying to do stuff! Regardless im very excited, they are the perfect roof camping lights. They are drill lights though... to do it right, you have to drill!

You can actually find those slot nuts at your local hardware store. They are used for electrical boxes. Sometime they will have small springs attached to them that you can just snip off. Extremely inexpensive compared to the rhino rack ones
Hillman 3/8 bolts, washer and lock nuts also sold at Lowes to match these. Basically you can buy them all in bulk at Lowes. I have 4 Talente ice cream jars full of each.

What a thoughtless comment. First of all the lights are work lights on the SIDES of the vehicle. Second, why the hell would you want to try to blind an oncoming car unless you are trying to kill them, yourself, your family or some other poor soul. Grow up 12 years old.
Just a heads up, there's no waterproofing in the cables coming out of the lights, so they can just fill up with water, the tape you put around it might be enough, but I put some silicon around the end of mine.
On the driver side next to the brake booster there’s a small plastic grommet you can use to pass wires through just give it half a turn and it will pop off
AuxBeam makes the exact gang switch panel and fuse box. Installed it and love it

That is a cool Location to put the swithches! I 3D Printed a nice bracket for my panel as it is for driving lights, right under the headlight switch.
Did you know this new model of the Pioneer Rhino Rack has internal wiring channels?
I don’t have any of the wires exposed on the outside except where they come out to the lights which I have 10. I ran them in series on 4 separate circuits.

Hey brother, I have that same rhino rack and those little lights are a great fit. Can you share the model you used as I can’t seem to find them on Vivid’s website
Red light is even less likely to attract bugs than yellow.
I always use a super bright red headlamp attached directly to my ly hat while fishing.
You can get those battery disconnect switches off of amazon that have little remotes to turn them on and off. Less hood opening! The one I got was rated for 120V and 1,000A and was a grand total of 25$. Perfectly overkill.
Green matches to stock dash light colors in the JK.
Saw you other video with Injen cool air intake. But in this video, you have a stock intake. Is this different wrangler? Or why no longer Injen intake? I am thinking about adding the Injen intake, that’s why I am wondering. Thank you.

The idea is great the brand offer decent product usually but I feel like this one could be better using rgb leds not 1red 1green 1 blue light looking at it is awful. Thanks for the good work !

That switch panel is not on there. They have a couple normal switches..

they must be currently sold out.. sometimes when they sell out they remove the item. send them an email!
The JK is much more friendly to wire to the engine bay.
If you use the center console you may get accidental clicks if there are items in it.
