For advance, once you get into chapter 3, you may want to switch out your Electric Baton to the Salamander Dagger blade, since the enemies will be vulnerable to fire instead of electricity. While electricity may be pretty strong, fire is undeniably more effective when dealing with many organic enemies. You may also want to switch from the Krat Police Baton Handle to a handle that gives wider attack range because the game will start regularly giving you ambushes with multiple enemies.

Essentially do what you'd normally do but once you hit the guard button don't let go immediately and hold it for a second. For some reason just tapping guard at the right time like sekiro ends your perfect parry window super early or something.

I put the big wrench head on the fire axe, I'm loving it! Not the best range, but the big, powerful wrench head is swung with good speed considering the power and stagger it has. Plus the Fable Art just wrecks stuff, and it actually seems to have good poise/hyper armor!! It actually blocks pretty well too, almost like a greatshield.
It also needs to be said blade also has guard damage rate(or whatever it's called in-game) usually big weapons tend to block more incoming damage than smaller or thin blades.
If you’re playing advance build. You really need to level up and maintain the 3 advance weapons (salamander dagger, electric coil, acidic spear) Like you’ve noticed, puppets are weak to electric. When you move onto a zone with carcasses or have a carcass boss (swamp monster, archbishop, simon (phase 2)) then the salamander dagger is your best friend. When against humans, acidic spear is your best friend. Just level up all those 3 weapons. Get advance cranks on them. And just play the game blind and armless and still win.
Absolutely love all the creativity that the weapon modification allows. I've been using the booster glaive handle (upgraded to advance scaling) with the salamander blade, and the electric coil stick with the wintry rapier handle, also upgraded to advance scaling, and I'm having a blast with both
Some better advice would be, especially if you're new to these types of games but it's a good rule of thumb to go by anyway. Is level your health and stamina to where you want them first because you'll have such low motiv/tech/adv that the scaling will be worthless anyway until later on. Let your damage come from upgrading your weapon for a bit first. It'll help you slog through a lot of the earlier encounters with much more forgiving amounts of health/stamina to play with.
This! But I feel like 15-20 vigour is enough. I kept it at 15 and having no issues even on my ng+2. I’d say focus more on vitality and capacity so you can always have the highest defense gears and have good dodge. Or just build advance, get the 3 elemental weapons, and stomp anything in your way.

Elementel DMG is so far rly strong.Stronger than i would thought so i stick the, what ever elementel dmg i need on my Boosterglaive and i got a dex weapon wich deals more dmg that it would be with a normal blade.
Yes, advance is king of damage in this game. Just because how physical resistances work. The game literally tells you what elemental weapon to use for what situation. This bypasses the physical resistance and only deals pure damage due to their low elemental resistance of the weapon you use. So you’re always doing high damage. Plus the fable arts that increases that weapons element is just broken. So puppet - use electric. Carcasses - use fire. Humans - use acid. This means you have to maintain all 3 weapons. But it’s well worth it (the salamander dagger is more prominent in the final chapters as all enemy types are mainly carcasses)

Whip out your electric coil and watch it flee in terror. A carcass is running at you? (The organic monsters) Flash your Salamander Dagger and watch it regret it’s choice. Oh, a human wants to bully you? Pull out your acidic spear and show them what it means to be a bully. These elemental advantages apply to bosses. Bypassing EVERY single physical resistance because you deal mainly elemental, and because you use an element they weak too, it’s basically pure 100% damage. It’s a joke how unbalanced motivity and dex weapons look after trying out advance.
As for P-Organs, it all depends. General rule of thumb is + pulse cell charges and + pulse cell recovery is priority. Then + amulet slots and + belt slots. Then + fable art slots. If you have a big weapon: + Damage to stagger when perfect guarding. + Break enemy stance when perfect guarding. Other amazing must have improvements: + Fable Arts damage + Fable Arts charge on enemy kill and auto recharge. + Health Regain when perfect guarding. + Both increased stagger damage on charged attack upgrades. + Guard Regain recovery improved (more hp back when successfully attacking). I personally avoid ALL ‘…….. when discharged’ skills. Because if you do this then you don’t want a lot of pulse cells and is a more risky playstyle as you want to be discharged (no healing items left) at all times to benefit. If you did increase your pulse cell charges then you’ll barely benefit from these bonuses. Legion arms: pick one you like. They’re not ground breaking. Won’t make or break your build. If you wanna abuse elemental throwable items (once again, elemental is king) then on the improvements go for + throwing item capacity. Rest are very very niche. The above is a solid choice for any builds.
Lack of poise in this game is annoy af. Game wants you to hit a charged attack to stagger enemy but you can get knock out of that animation constantly, bit annoying
So don’t panic and try to rush a charged attack in when you know an attack chain is coming. Wait it out. If you perfect guard that incoming attack chain then the grogginess won’t go away. This game wants you to chill. Not always go for the throat.
Okay, so what about quality builds? “Balanced” is a starter class so I assumed I would eventually find weapons with equal motivity/technique scaling but so far everything seems to lean into only one stat? I feel like I’m wasting my levels at this point.
There’s a few weapons that scale equally with motiv and tech. I can think of 3 at the top of my head. The true final boss weapon is a balanced weapon. However, with the implementation of cranks, you still want to slightly favour one stat over the other. I did an ng+ run with the final boss weapon ‘Proof of Humanity’ which is pretty OP on it’s own. It’s starting stats are B for motiv and B for tech. I put a tech crank on it though. So became C motiv and A Tech. My stats then went as followed, by the final chapter of my ng+ run. i had 25 Motiv and 40 Tech. And it was tearing everything apart.

Its a fun game but i dont like how slow the character and character animations are. Bloodborne was fast for both players and enemies... But in this only enemies are fast.

All i'm saying is that it would feel better to play if the MC was a little bit faster then he is right now. Mainly talking about movement and recovery animations, Not attack animations.
@@Saintedlight recovery? As in if you get knocked down? There is a P-Organ node that allows you to dodge up from a knockdown. But also, getting knockdown is just punishment. Most heavy knockdown attacks have a long winded attack. So getting hit is deserving of a heavy knockdown, imo.

You can hold L1 the entire time during a fight and you’ll immediately go back to blocking stance after slashing, found that out earlier

The electric coil carried me for a majority of the game against puppet enemies. Don't underestimate it's stagger and electric dmg to puppets

booster glaive blade and baton handle is great machete with fast big dmg. also wrench on pickaxe handle is a beast

As a souls vet I always level up my damage attribute first because as long as you can take a hit or 2 your good against bosses

T’is why people abuse elemental pots for speed kills/damageless. A pot with the correctly chosen element deals 15% roughly per pot.

It just relates to changing the hair.
It only has use on a ‘Lie’ playthrough. As it lets you change your hair from long or short.
early combat definitely looks less flowy/flashy as bloodborne but that may just be a stylistic choice, or part of the early game.

@@Saintedlight recovery? As in if you get knocked down? There is a P-Organ node that allows you to dodge up from a knockdown.
But also, getting knockdown is just punishment. Most heavy knockdown attacks have a long winded attack. So getting hit is deserving of a heavy knockdown, imo.

Getting Stun locked and killed without the P-organ is not a good mechanic. The P-organ system should not give you basic skills it should improve them.

something is off about this game, idk what it is but its not from software level design simply since there's no freedom, no multiple pathways. environment is very empty but it is indeed got some pretty looking environment at times

beat the game only used rapier forgot to lvl up my health so basically one shot on every enemy dont make same mistake as me and actually get ur health to like 500minimum

Those things are absolutely broken for pve as well. It was fun while it lasted but it trivialized everything even more than it already was. It had to go
