    This is the exact video I was looking for! Sadly, I've got a ball joint separator but I can figure out how to use it on the OBXT......

    struggles....they are real. I'd give myself 6 hours (3/side) to get this done. Well, the first side would take 4 hrs, and the other side 2...but still 6 hrs. Isn't there a spreader tool to help get that lower ball joint in? Looks like the spindle has a compression fit and the spreader tool will slot in there and then just twist...

    I'm real confused about the marking part when you put the new tierod end on. Anyone get some clarity on that?

    woo hoo, i could not get mine in. i thought i would have to do this but was not 100% about sanding the ball joint.
    whiteline do not show you this, they show it being forced in with a jack.
    Its been a nightmare superpro kit i ordered first looks nothing like photos, there not blue and no logo on them :( but ball joint went in no problem. so ordered whiteline then ball joints dont fit :/ i can lol now.
    THANKS MATE, I WILL PUT MY WHITELINE KIT IN NOW AND NOT SEND IT BACK :)

    my new ball joint would not fit until I cleaned the socket 100%, it didn't look like it could be dirty enough to prevent the ball joint from going in but after a thorough cleaning with wire brush, the ball joint went in

    I got intermittent front suspension clunking after installing the roll center kit.

    What are all the torque specs, that would have been good to add in the description.

      That’s what I was wondering too, kinda sucks he didn’t even say what they were

    Are you planning on doing an anti lift kit? I have mine sitting in the garage but I haven't installed it yet

    • @nosubswrx
      @nosubswrx  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Have to look into it. I might have an idea of what it’s does. Can you help to explain to me what it does?

    • @rotenkiwi
      @rotenkiwi 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@nosubswrx It basically changes the front suspension geometry so there is less of a lifting torque on the front suspension. Subarus are engineered to have a lot of "lift" or "anti-dive" geometry from the factory. You basically have to press out the front control arm bushing and put in the new whiteline ones with whatever combination of spacers you want. It should allow for better weight transfer to the front wheels during braking which will give better turn in response and it should help corner exit too since the weight wont transfer as much to the rear while accelerating out of corners

      Looked into this mod and it looks good. However I might end up doing Racer X arms front and rear next year won’t have to worry about pressing in and out bushings. At the same time Racer X arms will reduce 10lbs of unsprung weight.
      But they are $650 for one set front or rear. The fronts only save 2lbs total.. Anti-lift Kit makes more sense but I’m somewhat tired of dealing the front LCA area for now so either way it will be awhile.
      Thanks for turning me on the kit though I’d overlooked it as an option! 👍🏻
