ScarAway has silicone scar sheets specifically for keloid scars, but those are double the price as the regular ScarAway silicone scar sheets. Is it worth the extra money for the keloid version?
I am extremely grateful to have found your channel. I've had keloids for 20+ years. It was a painful journey going to different dermatologists in different states and nobody had any idea how to get rid of them. Steroid injections, laser, cryotherapy...all extremely painful and they kept coming back...Well, until I followed your recommendation and went for radiation at a cancer center. Months later, my scars are now gone and healing well. So thank you so so much!
I used Scar Away silicone bandages after a partial thyroid removal. I used those with real aloe vera gel and was very intentional to use it daily, all day for almost a year. I have almost no scar on my throat. I had to fight people who would tell me that I didn't need to wear it so long but I knew I wanted to minimize the scar. Even the doctor who did the surgery was amazed at how little the scar was visible.
@@dmclassical08 I started using the Scar Away bandages as soon as the stitches came out. I ordered aloe from a woman in California who had generations of older Aloe plants (massive ones) that she sold cuts from. I would order a supply each month and squeeze the gel straight from the cutting and rub it on my scar. I wore the bandages as close to 24 hours a day for close to a year. Changed them every week to a new one. I can't recommend the silicone bandages enough. They were amazing and you literally can't see a scar now. Hope that helps.
@@JohnDL212 thank so much. I just had a cervical spinal surgery which left the scar on the front of my neck. Will try your method. Thank again and Happy New Year
@@emilyd.4136 I took mine off each time I showered but reapplied it after. I wore it all day and would remove for a few hours in the evening to apply aloe gel to it for a while. From my reading on it they say for the absolute best outcome, you should wear the silicone bandage as long as you can. I definitely slept with it on all night too. I found that just wiping the silicone side of the bandage with a wet tissue sometimes made it stick again (you just wiped the body oils off it). Hope that helped.
@@emilyd.4136 Sure. I think keeping it clean is important but just as important is keeping it well moisturized (I highly suggest a natural organic Aloe) but to really minimize the scar as much as possible you have to consistently wear the silicone bandage for quite a while. Remember the skin heals on the surface much quicker than the skin below which can take as long as a year to fully heal (depending on the natural of the scar). Good luck.
Per pregnancy scars, I thought I would offer my experience. I am in my late 50's. While I was pregnant I used Olive Oil-Cold pressed version which is stated on the bottle. I used it daily. Especially after a shower, it seemed to sink into the skin better and wasn't too greasy. Though I still wiped off the excess. After pregnancy, I used it daily for a few months. It did help with stretch marks because to this day the stretch marks are very light in color and hardly noticeable. Years later after needing a hysterectomy for fibroid tumors, I repeated the use of Olive Oil, and the scar from the surgery is hardly noticeable. As the years have gone on, I have had back surgeries and just recently a neck surgery. During the times of the back surgeries, I couldn't easily reach my back most of the time to use Olive Oil or without making a mess, so I stopped. The scars are terrible there. A few are raised. I find them to be ugly. I wish that I tried better to keep them moist. Currently, I am applying Vaseline to a 2-week scar from neck surgery. I will try the silicone gel shortly. If neither seems to work I will go back to Olive Oil but will need to keep it covered while outside in the sun. That is why I have not done so. It's to keep my skin from burning while outside as it is exposed whereas during my pregnancies the area wasn't exposed. I am not sure if my input helps anyone but then again it might.

Can you guys make a video on stretch marks next? How to prevent them, different kinds, what u can do after, and treatments if it's been years.... that would be nice (:
When we were kids, my best friend fell on a space heater and burned her outer thigh, it was not horrible because the heater was pretty low because it had been turned off but it was enough to cause a dark hatch mark and peel (she has dark brown skin). Her grandma told her to apply a bit of onion juice from a sliced onion on it several times a day. She never got a mark. So the old wives tale remedies can work :)
As always, you two aren't afraid to go deep into the science--and as a viewer, I so appreciate that you respect us enough to do so! Love these videos, and really dig you two!
Yes please, do the videos together whenever possible - you supplement each other so well and you are so very entertaining (no harm in entertainment - it doesn’t detract from all the knowledge you share with us).
I started watching this channel because I have had such a long history of skin issues. I'm also in NP school and I love when you guys are explaining the WHY and HOW of your recommendations. This channel has great clinical pearls, keep it up!
Hello, what a blessing to come across y'all's video! I just had a 20 lb fibroid removed from my body almost 4 weeks ago. I weighed 167 lbs now I'm at 135. So I was curious on how to get rid of the extra stretch marks and just helped my stomach heal. I'm happy to say that watching your video has given me plenty of insight on my options and lots of hope for a prettier tummy! 🙏😊 I'm a new subscriber and thank you!
It’s very true!! Vaseline is amazing.. my husband had a skin cancer remove inside the ear and on between his right eye and side of his nose.. the dermatologist doctor told him just use Vaseline and the scar is hardly visible at all
Thank you so much for sharing this. Badly placed/sized keloid scars can have so much effect on a persons self-image and desire for connection with others. It’s life-changing to know of the options out there ❤
Thanks for addressing this. I have post surgical scars (2 months old) that I'm dealing with. I've tried silicone scar tape, which led to some pretty bad inflammation of the area, and has taken several weeks to get under control. Scar gel may be my next choice. Your videos are better, when the two of you are together!
There are 2 post op surgeries scars I have in the past 2 months. Breast reduction and removal of calcium deposits. And later revision on my laparotomy. What is the best for both? Thank you
Absolutely love the terminology, and deep dive into the logic behind each approach. You go above and beyond, so thank you! Loved the guest appearance. There is a bit of magic when you get together, even though it’s harder for you.
Had a retinol body lotion that helped make a recent burn scar (5 years old) fade. I wasn’t even trying to focus on that scar. I was using it for rough skin.I used it for a year and realized the burn was almost undetectable.
I was disappointed that you didn't provide more info on steroid injections for hypertrophic scars...how often and which types of steroid works best and to avoid, i.e reducing hyperpigmentation on people of color? I would a appreciate follow up video. Thanks! Glad to see you two together again.
I've had acne and acne scars scars since I was a teenager, I'm 65. Your podcasts give me alot more options for treatment. Thank ya'll, awesome podcast's.
I had a partial thyroidectomy 19 years ago, before that incision was made on a wrinkle or line on the neck. This was back when it looked like you were partially decapitated 🙂. It did turn into a hypertrophic scar and somewhat darker. The scar has never bothered me so I just let it be. Almost 20 years later it’s barely noticeable. It’s lightened almost completely and it did flatten on its own. The ONLY thing I’ve always had a problem with is the sensation on the scar itself still to this day.
The camaraderie and jocularity between you guys is so much greater when in one another’s presence! I watched all the commercials just to offset your travel expenses in hopes you’ll do more videos together vs. long-distance 😁
Remember, all wounds heal from the bottom up. You need to keep the wound clean and covered with the dressings that your doctor prefers. You will get wound care instructions when you leave the hospital, outpatient surgical center, or office. Don't deviate. If you think it's healed, it isn't. Keep treating until the skin has healed. I tell my patients to keep the wound treatment up for 3 months after the epidermis appears healed.
Elizabeth, I am 75, 1 year go 30% my body burnt and skin grafted, still have pain and tightness. I am using e -oil, I am overwhelmed lots suggest products. I am grateful your knowledge.
used appropriately, Elase ointment (fibrinolysin) and Silvasorb (antimicrobial wound dressing) can aid in healing with minimal scarring by keeping edges of the wound from drying out and forming cicatrice scarring
I used Mederna back in 2002 after having an antier lumber fusion. My scar was from my belly button all the way to my pubic bone. After using the Moderna, the scar was barely noticeable. My surgeon was amazed. The silicone may work well also, but I was sold on Moderna after it worked so well on that large scar. I love all of your informative videos, keep them coming!!
Thank you guys so much! Thanks to you i not only upped my game with my skincare and slowing down aging a bit, but now also put me at ease with the scars I'm gonna deal with pretty soon. You are great fun and presenting all info in an understood manner ❤️
You both change my life 😢 I had a bad acne since then, been to dermatologist and spends thousands of 💸 and you two introduce me on the products that I had never heard before. Thank you ❤
Excellent video and so timely - I'm due to have major surgery next month and I'm worried about scarring so this video has really put my mind at ease. Very interested in the treatment of scarring from a dermatologist perspective. You guys are a brilliant team - keep up the great work!
Thank you for sharing this, great info! I had surgery a few years back and was left with scars on my rib cage and microneedling has done wonders to help with the scarring. Since I also suffered with acne scars and have consistently used an at home microneedling stamp, the Banisher 2.0 from Banish, I figured I would try it out on the scars on my side and I'm so glad I did. They have healed so much, and I even apply their Vitamin C Serum after that helps to build collagen. I've seen the scars go down about 60% so far.
Omg thank you so much for mentioning and talking about laser treatments!! I found myself a clinic that hsa many different scar reduction options and now I'm going through different laser treatments and chemical peels and sometimes with some dermapen and microneedling action too to get rid of my deep acne scars. Getting done treatmets like fractional resurfacing, IPL, iPRF. It's not cheap but I see results so fast and can't wait to get fully rid of my scars!!
Also, non-practising veterinarian here, I'm wondering whether any of my fellow vets are using this modality (vaseline/silicone etc) on their patients, as long as the animal is prevented (via the "cone of shame") from licking. Vaseline is not toxic for dogs, but can cause digestive upsets. Obviously scarring is less of a concern for animals, but some owners may still worry about it. Really love seeing the two of you together! 😀 (Sorry Dr Maxfield, I know that means a commute for you!)
Thank you for this info. My daughter has a liver disease which causes extreme itching and they are trying to find the right medication and dosage to help her. She has wounds all over her body- I mean an extreme amount. People stare at her if her arms or legs are exposed. She’s 29 and it breaks my heart. She has so many autoimmune diseases and since the age of 15, has had several PEs, a DVT, a HVT, pericarditis and PSC which is what causes the itching. She has so much on her plate that if we could help with this one thing, it would help her self esteem some. I would love some advice to at least help minimize the scars that are several years old, if even just on her arms and legs. Thank you for this info to at least help with new wounds. ❣️
Curious if you ever researched (or tried) wound-honey or manuka honey. I'm not saying it can help something that advanced, but merely letting you know it exists.
I recently came across your channel and love the content! I'm now binge watching all your videos and sharing them with family and friends. You make a great team and I love that you don't take yourselves too seriously. I'm turning 64 next week and I hope it's not too late for me to make some positive changes to my skin care routine.
You guys are awesome. Just had my first MOHS on the side of my nostril and worried about scarring. Happy to hear your advice is exactly what my doctor told me. Thank you
I have a scar from an acsedent when I was little it left a scar that is just lighter than my skin tone but doesn't tan. It definitely affects my confidence I'm happy I found this video cuz now I know where to go to treat the scar! Thank you so much!
I had an abdominal hysterectomy almost 3 years ago. The scar was thick and raised all the way across and I thought I was going to be stuck with it forever. About 3 months ago, I started applying organic castor oil (compressed, unrefined & hexane free) across my scar and it's now about 70% flat. I haven't used it consistently for the last month, but the more I use it the flatter it gets. I'm getting a breast reduction in a few days and I'll definitely use castor oil to help flatten my scars.
I have a terrible cat scratch that I have been trying to keep clean and moist. It is on my face. Two months later and it is still so tender. Glad to find out that it is really early still in the healing process
Guess what? I damaged my skin barrier. I'm happy that I have your channel because of it wasn't for watching you guys I would not have known what it was and how to begin fixing it. I was getting it confused with perhaps signed of purging til I noticed that I was over exfoliating. I was gonna stick the purge out. Whew thankfully I had your channel. I found out because I actually used a lotion that never irritated me and it stung a little. Thank you
Omg this is 100% correct. My bf had a bump removed and staples put in. They said clean with soap and water, apply vaseline and cover for 2 wks bfore staple remvl. After they removed the staples you cant even see where the scar or opening was. The skin sealed soo smoothly together it was beautiful. I never saw anything heal that beautifully lol.
@@foreverjoyfully as it starts to itch i use tea tree oil. Asap the better. You wanna get it before it starts to blister. During the breakout apply vaseline then tea tree. Vaseline is like a bandaid and tea tree will soak into the "bandaid" slowly and won't sting as much. But it is also good to let the blister dry out. It does suck because if everyone can see it you want to get rid if it fast. I get that! But dry out process helps to heal quicker. Moisture lengthens healing process. I bought a product called scar away. Its a light blue and white liquid tube. I apply it after scab falls off 2× a day. Usually a pink scar after that. The product works. Lysine works to combat the virus. I take 500 to 1000mg a day. You can buy that at your local wallgreens or food store.
Hi am a nurse from Guyana and currently am experiencing burn on the face and legs. And since am using the Vaseline seen in the video am getting the results I want that I didn't even expect so fast.
I was attacked by a dog Feb 2024. I have been using Scar Away silicone bandages and the scars are fading so much and the painful, hard tissue is softening up considerably. So thankful for this product!
Thank you. As someone with a self inflected 4 centimeters radius 2nd degree burns who had over 150 stiches for deep wounds during the course of my life, this helps a lot. You are of huge help for people struggling with symptoms of severe mental health ilnesses, because once you come out of the hospital psych ward, you're kind of on your own, because for some people, it's very hard going to see an actual professional who is not a psychiatrist and say "I did this, I did this on purpose". The open wound burn took over 6 months just to close, so I'm not quite there yet, so I am guessing the time window is a bit different for me, but as soon as I notice the wound actually healed and seemed "robust" enough, I'll be moving on from vaseline to silicone sheets. Thank you again.
Mederma did nothing to the scar of my ankle. It basically just sits there. I wanted something that would absorb into my skin. I liked Equate's scar gel which said is like Mederma but it actually absorbs into my skin. I also use hydrating lotion. It helped my scar heal nicely where it's not bumpy or anything. It's just a white line now and almost healed.
I'm thankful for the emergence of young experts here. Before, when I needed to research about skin solutions, there were a few skin doctors who are less likely to recommend an affordable drugstore product. I don't resort to home remedies if I need at least 6 ingredients to mix in a bowl.
I had surgery that required an incision from in front of my ear down to my neck (as well as a drainage in my neck). The silicone gel was easier to apply, but I switched within a couple of weeks to the silicone sheets that were more effective. I used them for four months. I'm happy with the results. However, I never got the sheets to stick for more than two days. I put a new one on every day after my shower. It also takes practice to figure out how to apply them yourself. Shop around for prices, because some stores charge double the price. I hope this helps someone recovering from surgery.
My damn!!! As a disabled veteran with plenty of scars, diagnosed with basal cell carcinoma in February of 2022. I now have a 6” scar across my clavicle, 5 surgeries later, the entire time being told to alternate Vaseline and raw vitamin E oil I’m LIVID!!! Now I have to tell people “there was 6 attackers” 🤦🏼♀️🤬👎🏼 and at no point was onion anything brought up 🤬🤬🤬 EDIT: I might fly in to see either one of you to please help me unfuck this situation. 🙏🏼
I’ve had several surgeries including a lumpectomy, port inserted under my skin for chemo treatments, then removal of the port, last surgery was the removal of my 26 year old breast implants. I swear by Bio-Oil!!! My scars are so faint but if you were just looking at me you would never know I had them unless you looked up close. I applied it 2 to 3 times a day and my surgeon was amazed. She now recommends it to her other patients.
Is there any way to fade or remove scars from cuts and burns through objects? I have quite noticeable self-harm scars that have become a trigger for me and are now associated with my PTSD. It's been years but the scars have not gone away. Any advice would really help :)
Hey Doctorly. What are your thoughts on microneedling the scalp for hair loss + a natural topical (including those you have recommended like pumpkin seed caffeine, rosemary oil and supplementing saw palmetto and curcumin) + aquaphor to lock in oils overnight? The aim is to speed up the microneedling recovery phase and absorption of the topical. Cheers!
I had breast reduction surgery last October, 2021. Unfortunately, I have now developed puckered skin (keloid type scars) on either side of my breasts, near my under arms. They itch and are painful whenever I wear a bra. I’ve tried the silicone tape (as recommended by a physician) but they didn’t work and often times peeled off or moved. I have Mederma (not sure if I spelt that right?) and I had used it on the scar that was made when I had my myomectomy to remove fibroids back in January of 2021. That area had healed with only a small area of puckered skin. But I hate hate hate these puckered scars I have on either side of my breasts. I feel so ugly and I don’t know what to do. I’m setting an appointment to see my surgeon to see what I can do about it. I am happy with having smaller boobies because I was extremely heavy chested but it just sucks to be dealing with another issue now
I had breast reduction in July 2019, and my surgeon was the worst. He acted like he was God (my insurance covered my surgery). A week after I returned to get my dressing removed, I had to go back an hr later. I had a hematoma on my right breast. Any ways I went from a 38 G to 34 B/C. The scars are so ugly, and my titties itch like crazy. Sometimes, I want to scratch my nipples off! 😅 I have been using hydrocortisone after I shower, and it helps a lot. I love my small boobs but the scars are so ugly.
Watching this for my young kid. She fell out of bed and needed stitches on her face. I want her to look at her face years from now and notice her overall features before she notices the scar. It’s too late to stop the injury, but hopefully years down the line we will both at least know i tried to be the best mom I could be.
I have a weak immune system, it doesn’t matter how well I keep a wound clean, it often becomes infected. Which is painful but also often makes scarring worse. I have to use topical antibiotics for the first phase of healing. Can I use silicone bandage on top of that?
Ahhhhh, I found your scar video. Have thyroid cancer and had thyroidectomy, and want to treat the scar on my neck as best I can. I am protecting it from the sun, used Neosporin on it for first two weeks at doctor’s orders….and now want to do everything I can to mitigate the darkness of the scar….now watching your video. Will keep it moist with Aquafor.
This couldn't be a more timely find! Thank you so much! I just had an ACDF 2.5 weeks ago so I have a fresh 3-4” scar across the front of my neck. I had been using bacitracin until the stitches came out per my surgeon's orders and now scar tape, so I'm really happy to have the regimen confirmed. Extra delighted because I have EDS so my scars are unpredictable. Years ago I got a huge and very deep Harley bite (tail pipe burn) on my right calf. After the danger of infection was past with a few weeks of silvadene, I applied zinc oxide and a single layer of gauze to keep dirt out of it for about six months. There is literally no scar at all. Nada. I can't discern where the burn was. So I still think zinc oxide is the best treatment, but I do scar tape because everyone tells me to.
From what I know a scar can take up to 1.5 years to really know how it will look. I got a hockey stick to the eyebrow and it was pretty big. I did not go to the doctor because it was done bleeding and did not need stitches. I put antibiotic cream on it until it completely healed and had no scab. It’s about 8 months in and looks significantly better every month. Do you think cream does anything past the point of healing up? I mean sure I can see it getting to the dermis or epidermis, but a scar is like an iceberg when it is from blunt force trauma or a cut.
Can I still use petroleum jelly on a wound even if it's expired? I barely used it and i didn't notice it has expired already. It'd be nice if I can still use it
Unopened or barely used vaseline should be fine. The vaseline itself doesn’t really go bad, but in heavy use skin cells, oils, moisture and germs can collect in there from your fingers. If you only used it a couple times, and it doesn’t look or smell weird, it’s fine.
Where was this video a year ago?! I was looking for some information on scars for my c section and couldn’t find anything this informative! Thank you guys
Hi, I survived acid attack its been 6 years now but my scars are still here. Can you please tell what I can use to minimize these scars. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE.
I followed their advice after thyroid surgery - soap & water, vaseline 2x/day for 2 weeks then scar away silicone gel 2x/day. Its been 6 months & my scar is barely noticeable. Looks like another skin crease. Very thankful to have found this video.
Thank you, guys, for educating us on skincare and literally changing my skin and my life (i finally found the best products for my skin and got rid of those 50 expensive yet useless creams.. ). Can you please make a video about skincare for pregnant/breastfeeding ladies? What shouldn't be used and what we can use instead. Thanks!
I’m straight but you two have the most amazing smiles and best skin (go figure) lol Beyond that good video guys professional content, informative first time here and you guys done very well 👍🏼
My husband had three open heart surgeries in a three week period. The scarring and keloids were significant, so over the past three years his dermatologist injected something ( sorry I dont know what it was) into his scars. Very painful. But now his scars are fairly flat, but they are still bright red. We assume it will always be so. Any insights? And yes, love seeing you back together.
Yes to Silicone scar treatments for best outcomes! ScarScience Silicone Scar Sheets and Silicone Gels in Massaging Roller or soft brush for sensitive scars.
Loved this as I have a number of surgery scars I've collected over the years. You didn't say how best to treat hypertrophic scars though. Would you treat them like normal ones or keloid? I have a rather large one from a laparotomy so would love to know so I could try to improve it.
@Janed Shupe hmm definitely helped to flatten because they were scars left from 2 sutures so they are small vertical lines that were “puffy”? Idk any other word to describe it haha but after about 5 treatments they’re totally flat. As far as color goes I got the scar in 2020 so that little piece of skin is white like the color of old stretch marks? So I doubt it’ll change that. C02 laser is mainly for resurfacing but I don’t think it can change pigment.
@@instaofz98 I’ve been doing sessions every month for around 8 or 9 months. The scar is almost completely flat which is nice because it healed with two obviously lines from the sutures.
@@janedshupe3230 flatten. C02 is a resurfacing treatment. There isn’t much that will help with discoloration tbh. You could do a synergy laser but for any redness but it’s very minimal reduction and you would have to go every month for awhile to see improvements.

2 weeks-6 months: silicon scar gel
6 months+: clinical procedures
Don't put vaseline before sutures are removed

@@blessingsara11hi... Good question!! Hope some one reply!!

As always, you two aren't afraid to go deep into the science--and as a viewer, I so appreciate that you respect us enough to do so! Love these videos, and really dig you two!
I love how straightforward and informative you guys are. I love how you break up your videos into sections that we can easily refer to!!
More (or all) videos together please. Your chemistry and camaraderie are so fun to watch!
Always bring in experts to compliment what you’re talking about. I loved that you brought in another Dr. On the video. Thanks!
I’m so glad y’all are back together! You two look like you’re having so much fun and it puts a smile on my face. Thank you for the wonderful content!
Wow! You had a 20 pound fibroid?! You poor dear.
Oh goodness!! I hope you’re doing well😊
It’s very true!! Vaseline is amazing.. my husband had a skin cancer remove inside the ear and on between his right eye and side of his nose.. the dermatologist doctor told him just use Vaseline and the scar is hardly visible at all
Vaseline gel?
Thank you so much for sharing this. Badly placed/sized keloid scars can have so much effect on a persons self-image and desire for connection with others. It’s life-changing to know of the options out there ❤
I agree.
Just had spine surgery that left me with 7 scars each up to 6”. I’ve been searching for the right products. Thanks!!
but girls dont care about wound scars tho, and dont care even if it grows to the size of the sun

I vote for you guys being together. As today’s show proved, it’s nice to have each other to learn from. Thank you doctors.
So glad you guys are back. You make a great team, educational but you keep it fun!!!
Had a retinol body lotion that helped make a recent burn scar (5 years old) fade. I wasn’t even trying to focus on that scar. I was using it for rough skin.I used it for a year and realized the burn was almost undetectable.
Can you share the name of the lotion

After Gallblader removal zero wound care instructions. 😑Even after asking post surgery it was brushed off.
Same. No instruction given on wound care after unilateral mastectomy.

Excellent video and so timely - I'm due to have major surgery next month and I'm worried about scarring so this video has really put my mind at ease. Very interested in the treatment of scarring from a dermatologist perspective. You guys are a brilliant team - keep up the great work!
So great seeing you all back together. Thank you for sharing all the information on wound/scar care.
How long did you use them
Omg thank you so much for mentioning and talking about laser treatments!!
Dont do long distance ever. We love the energy you guys give together

Hi, May I ask Where do you go in Illinois? Omg my white thick scar on face loosing my confidence🥲
Enjoy seeing you guys having a good time together ❤️
So happy to see you both together. The energy from your interaction is fabulous to see. Very entertaining to watch and learn. Keep it up.
Yes and to add to this comment-can you guys go into the dermaclara brand and whether you think those patches work?
I had an abdominal hysterectomy almost 3 years ago. The scar was thick and raised all the way across and I thought I was going to be stuck with it forever. About 3 months ago, I started applying organic castor oil (compressed, unrefined & hexane free) across my scar and it's now about 70% flat. I haven't used it consistently for the last month, but the more I use it the flatter it gets. I'm getting a breast reduction in a few days and I'll definitely use castor oil to help flatten my scars.
Love you guys together! You play off each other and you are entertaining as well as informative( and easy on the eyes!!❤️)

What is staples?
Can you tell me what kind of soap he used?
@@stephanie5859 any mild soap
Did you apply the Vaseline on the injury to directly
Love it when you both are together! Best chemistry!
Hi am a nurse from Guyana and currently am experiencing burn on the face and legs. And since am using the Vaseline seen in the video am getting the results I want that I didn't even expect so fast.
Please am experiencing the same now Pls
This is nice but no need for intense description, other people read and still struggle with that
May God bless you with peace of mind and blessings!

I just love how when one of them is talking the other one looks at him with such attention, approval and appreciation :')
My youngest just had VNS surgery this week-perfect timing!!! Thank you for the info and appreciate you both!! 🥰🤟🏼
I'm thankful for the emergence of young experts here. Before, when I needed to research about skin solutions, there were a few skin doctors who are less likely to recommend an affordable drugstore product. I don't resort to home remedies if I need at least 6 ingredients to mix in a bowl.
dr. maxfield's reaction when the guest compliments dr. shah had me dying lol
I am soooooooo happy to see you guys TOGETHER!❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉😊
I had surgery that required an incision from in front of my ear down to my neck (as well as a drainage in my neck). The silicone gel was easier to apply, but I switched within a couple of weeks to the silicone sheets that were more effective. I used them for four months. I'm happy with the results. However, I never got the sheets to stick for more than two days. I put a new one on every day after my shower. It also takes practice to figure out how to apply them yourself. Shop around for prices, because some stores charge double the price. I hope this helps someone recovering from surgery.
This Channel is my no 1 on whole TH-cam.
Thank you.
The chemistry in between two of you is so beautiful. You are humble, pleasant and trurly amazing ❤
My damn!!! As a disabled veteran with plenty of scars, diagnosed with basal cell carcinoma in February of 2022. I now have a 6” scar across my clavicle, 5 surgeries later, the entire time being told to alternate Vaseline and raw vitamin E oil I’m LIVID!!! Now I have to tell people “there was 6 attackers” 🤦🏼♀️🤬👎🏼 and at no point was onion anything brought up 🤬🤬🤬
EDIT: I might fly in to see either one of you to please help me unfuck this situation.
Finally!!! I really miss how Dr Maxfield looks at Dr Shah 😝😝 Now I feel complete again 😂
I love when you are back together! And the amount of shade from Dr. Shah 😂 I'm here for it!

Cheers!
Can you please recommend for the deep scars from chicken pox: thank you
I had breast reduction surgery last October, 2021.
Use radiation treatment
Watching this for my young kid. She fell out of bed and needed stitches on her face. I want her to look at her face years from now and notice her overall features before she notices the scar. It’s too late to stop the injury, but hopefully years down the line we will both at least know i tried to be the best mom I could be.
What products did you use? And how is it healing?
Vitamin E on skin helps.
I hate scars I got them on my face
All these young, smart Dr's is great to see ❤
This couldn't be a more timely find!
Perfect timing! I just got my stitches from Mohs surgery out two hours ago!
Scars from bike accidents - that's my jam!! Thank you for this. I'll give it a shot.

Try bio oil on them. Helps with the hyperpigmentation. Takes a few months but it works.
I started using “faded” serum by Topicals and I have noticed my scar lighten up
I love coconut oil because it keeps things moist and causes 0 irritation even to open wounds!!
Does this also apply to keloids from laser mole removals? Thanks!

Loved this as I have a number of surgery scars I've collected over the years. You didn't say how best to treat hypertrophic scars though. Would you treat them like normal ones or keloid? I have a rather large one from a laparotomy so would love to know so I could try to improve it.
God blesss u abundantly , I am so overwhelmed to know that I have all the answers I was ever looking for.
Been loving the results from the c02 laser for a scar I got from some sutures, about 5 treatments in and it’s almost gone!
How many sessions did you take and how does your scar look like now ?
How many sessions did you take and how does your scar look like now ? Do you also use silicone gel after the procedure?
@@instaofz98 I’ve been doing sessions every month for around 8 or 9 months. The scar is almost completely flat which is nice because it healed with two obviously lines from the sutures.
@@janedshupe3230 flatten. C02 is a resurfacing treatment. There isn’t much that will help with discoloration tbh. You could do a synergy laser but for any redness but it’s very minimal reduction and you would have to go every month for awhile to see improvements.
