I combine organic extra virgin olive oil, and castor oil 50/50. So far my face has smoothed out a lot. But you have to exfoliate to fully absorb the oils.
These things work. After six months using some of these oils, some of my scars are almost gone. And these are scars I've had for over 25 years. I just wish I could be more consistent in applying the oils.

I have spent a lot of money on silicone strips and they didn’t work at all I even had to reopen my scar to remove the keloids so the new scar can heal better and so far I still have problems with my scar almos 2 years after my surgery now i will try something else because I don’t see any results and I’m tired sad and everything together lol 😂😂😂

Hi, I am a guy, who had deep acne scars over 10years. After watching this video, I went and bought Helycrism, Calendula oils. I take some Onion extract and apply every day night. It has reduced the depth of the scars to a great extent. Thanks you Doc. But still need improvement.
I never did any of this. Totally forgot that I left this comment. My wounds were so deep that they probably needed stitches. I have just accepted them after all these years. Wish I had tried them but the injury was a little traumatic so I didn't care too much about the scar after a while.

For all those asking if these methods work, they could but not fully.I ve had a keloid/hypertrophic scar and tried everything possible from oils gels silicone sheets for years and nothing helped.The only thing that has worked in my case was Corticosteroid injections.After the injection the scars will be inflammed for a couple of days and then in a month or two they will shrink to the skin level and almost dissapear.

They are very essential. Ive tried the onions, lemon, honey and potatoes but the best of all is the proteolytic enzymes which you haven’t mention on here! Pure natural organic are good for new scars but not with the very old scars and keloidal scars base on my experiences! I am prone to scarring since when I was a little and tbh I still got some few of them until now that never get rid of by just using those natural organic. Tried the proteolytic enzymes supplement and it really makes wonder. My keloidal scars were almost gone now!
I will share my experience. I had a minor scrape on my hand. Did the usual and cleansed and added anti-bacterial ointment. I still have the scar it is white and its been 20 years. If I had been more informed I would have applied sunscreen. I worked outside and didn’t protect my hands and as a result the sun seared the scar. Point of this is: cover your skin while healing with a bandaid and apply sunscreen or wear gloves . Just in general wear protection and apply sunscreen anywhere your skin is in contact with the skin rays: ears, nose, lips. I had a cancer scare as well: but , that is for another time.

Sunflower oil works for me, I was actually afraid to use it at first because I'm highly sensitive to oil and oil based products, but it doesn't block my pores and it's effective in reducing redness and scars. Oh I used silicone gel sheets but had a serious bad reaction to it also used a compression garment and it ended up causing other problems and I had to wean my body off it.
My personal experience (ethnic skin) over the years with each and every one of these oils has been that if used immediately “at the time” of injury, scarring will be a non-event, OR, very minimal. The longer you wait to apply these oils the less effective they are at preventing a scar. Forget about having a no-scar occurrence if you go more than 24 hours before applying any one of these oils.
Gods Genuine Gift Wish I could agree. What’s considered consistent? I think oils 4x a day and more on certain days as I lounge in front of the tv is consistent for old scars (for months and months on end). That strategy simply DOES NOT work (for me) to prevent hyper pigments. On the other hand, when I’ve applied oils immediately at the time of injury and then only 2x per day for ONLY 3-4 months I get very minimal hyper pigments. We are not all the same is my good guess. My skin tends to get the nastiest scars from simple mosquito bites, let alone full on traumatic blows.

Thank you for putting out this information!! I had a vaginal hysterectomy 1983. Uterus only removed. Then about 5 years ago had severe lower right pain. My then gynecologist had scan done. Found cyst on both ovaries. Right one was about 6 cm (think I got that right) and small one on left ovary. Now here I am 5 years later and that same pain has returned. 2014 the Colin dr did scan and I was told had ALOT of adhesions. I was never offered therapy, except pill 3 times a day to help with pain. Folks, telling you right now, this eventually does not work. So went to gynecologist again, and he has now referred me to a surgeon to review. I will see what she says. I am 67 years old. If she doesn't recommend surgery then I will ask for physical therapy or go to St. Louis, Moor Columbia for a second opinion. The adhesion pain therapy in my opinion, could possibly help, but my feeling is took over 30 years for them to "manifest" ....don't think I will live to be 107!

Coco butter, baking soda and apple cider vinegar works as well, toothpaste and baking soda mixed with lemon juice, tea tree oil or frankenscents oil.

Coconut oil works very well for hiperpigmentation. It removes wrinkles and smile lines as well. It leaves your face glowing. I've been using it for 2 months now and l love it.
I mix my urea cream with castor and a few other oils and aloe vera, add several essential oils and have a silky and smooth soft skin.

They are very essential. Ive tried the onions, lemon, honey and potatoes but the best of all is the proteolytic enzymes which you haven’t mention on here! Pure natural organic are good for new scars but not with the very old scars and keloidal scars base on my experiences! I am prone to scarring since when I was a little and tbh I still got some few of them until now that never get rid of by just using those natural organic. Tried the proteolytic enzymes supplement and it really makes wonder. My keloidal scars were almost gone now!

I will share my experience. I had a minor scrape on my hand. Did the usual and cleansed and added anti-bacterial ointment. I still have the scar it is white and its been 20 years. If I had been more informed I would have applied sunscreen. I worked outside and didn’t protect my hands and as a result the sun seared the scar. Point of this is: cover your skin while healing with a bandaid and apply sunscreen or wear gloves . Just in general wear protection and apply sunscreen anywhere your skin is in contact with the skin rays: ears, nose, lips. I had a cancer scare as well: but , that is for another time.

Sunflower oil works for me, I was actually afraid to use it at first because I'm highly sensitive to oil and oil based products, but it doesn't block my pores and it's effective in reducing redness and scars.
I'll definitely try Dr. Axe's recommendations, maybe they're better than what I'm using now.

Oh I used silicone gel sheets but had a serious bad reaction to it also used a compression garment and it ended up causing other problems and I had to wean my body off it.

My personal experience (ethnic skin) over the years with each and every one of these oils has been that if used immediately “at the time” of injury, scarring will be a non-event, OR, very minimal. The longer you wait to apply these oils the less effective they are at preventing a scar. Forget about having a no-scar occurrence if you go more than 24 hours before applying any one of these oils.

Gods Genuine Gift Wish I could agree. What’s considered consistent? I think oils 4x a day and more on certain days as I lounge in front of the tv is consistent for old scars (for months and months on end). That strategy simply DOES NOT work (for me) to prevent hyper pigments. On the other hand, when I’ve applied oils immediately at the time of injury and then only 2x per day for ONLY 3-4 months I get very minimal hyper pigments. We are not all the same is my good guess. My skin tends to get the nastiest scars from simple mosquito bites, let alone full on traumatic blows.

I just recently saw his video and he states that the best for all scars and what would be his best suggestion is the helichrysum, calendula and onion oils. I believe it should work just as well and not matter what type of scar it is.

Thank you for putting out this information!! I had a vaginal hysterectomy 1983. Uterus only removed. Then about 5 years ago had severe lower right pain. My then gynecologist had scan done. Found cyst on both ovaries. Right one was about 6 cm (think I got that right) and small one on left ovary. Now here I am 5 years later and that same pain has returned. 2014 the Colin dr did scan and I was told had ALOT of adhesions. I was never offered therapy, except pill 3 times a day to help with pain. Folks, telling you right now, this eventually does not work. So went to gynecologist again, and he has now referred me to a surgeon to review. I will see what she says. I am 67 years old. If she doesn't recommend surgery then I will ask for physical therapy or go to St. Louis, Moor Columbia for a second opinion. The adhesion pain therapy in my opinion, could possibly help, but my feeling is took over 30 years for them to "manifest" ....don't think I will live to be 107!
