In this video, you will learn some Hindu myths and the mysteries of Banteay Samré, a forgotten ancient temple in Angkor Archaeological Park of Cambodia located in Siem Reap province.
Banteay Samre, means "The Citadel of Samre", is a Hindu temple in the Angkor Wat style, located approximately 400 metres to the east of the East Baray in Preah Dak Commune, Banteay Srei district, Siem Reap, kingdom of Cambodia. Built during the reign of king Suryavarman II and completed by Yasovarman II in the 12th century. Even though there are no inscriptions describing its foundation, scholars, historians and archaeologists concluded, based on the architectural design and classical arts, that this gem was constructed by a high official of the court during the reign of King Suryavarman II to dedicate to Vishnu.
