Thanks for doing the video. I think the rack looks great. Not a fan of the wind deflector. So does it make noise? I would have like to have seen you go for a drive before putting the deflector on and then see how much it helps - if any. Since it's not quite wide enough there are those small gaps on the sides and that looks like it would make even more noise than if you had no deflector. So what's the verdict?

I have sat in other Model Y without wind deflector and it made the whistle sound.
That’s why I decided to add the wind deflector on mind which helped a lot even though it didn’t cover the entire roof rack.

can you share any info regarding impact to range with these things installed?
I don’t really notice the range impact before and after the roof rack. I think with the wind deflector it helped with both wind noise and efficiency.
If anything it should be more than 3% different in range impact.

I thought about getting the roof rack for my model y, but then thought about how hard it would be Clea ning the glass roof. So I passed.
I washed it a few times now and it wasn’t that bad to clean the roof with roof racks on.

I bought a car cover for my MY from Tesla. Do you have any idea whether or not the roof rack will interfere with the car cover?
The roof rack added about 4” to the height of the car. I think it would affect the fitment when you try cover the side view mirrors. I’m not 100% sure as I never try it.

Can you still go in a carwash with the rack and deflector?
I never actually take it through the automatic car wash I usually just hand wash it.
