Make sure you push in the center of those wheel covers, or they start to disengage from the wheel. The center needs to click in too. At least it was that way for my 2021 M3 factory aero wheel covers.

You forgot the hockey pucks. I've had my Y for about 7 months and just used them for a tire rotation. Most mechanics don't keep them around yet!

What about spray painting the existing wheels to black? I think they might work well since there are several spray paint that can last for a long time.
You can definitely do that too but the OEM covers still don't cover and protect your rims.

Some good looking products, that seem to perform well too. Too bad half of them don’t ship from the US. Lead time on mats is 2-3 months when there are plenty of alternatives that can arrive in less than a week

Watch out the mud flaps here. The design enables debris and sand to trap in an OPEN pocket between the flap and the wheel well. So look for one design that has a closed pocket.

I would love parking sensors on my 2023 model Y… since November without. Kind of like going back to my first car in the 90’s.
Same here! I just hope they will fix and send out software update to use cameras to replace parking sensors soon.

I don't see how they are going to do this without installing at least an additional forward-facing camera. I hope I'm wrong. With the way Tesla is treating customers that bought cars in December, it seems just as likely that they will just forget about us.
I loved the sensors and miss them, too. Other owners complained that their sensors had error messages and pricy to fix, so maybe this is why Tesla removed them. 😢

nice add-ons. I would not recommend the wireless air pressure pump for the car. that could be a fire threat as the batteries for those things are usually not very safe for the high temperatures you may have inside the car. if anything the battery may not last long enough and then when you need it you may not be able to use it. I would go with the wired pump.

Changing the wheel covers is good but it changes your mileage so I haven't done it yet. Not sure if it matters too much or if maybe change them back for road trips...?
I don’t think it’s affecting the range that much but if you want the full efficiency for the road trip then you can always change back to stock covers.

The foot gas pedal is crazy hard to get on - definitely soak them in hot water like you said. They did send pedals that look slightly different than yours. There is no on or off words on the pedals.
It took a me a while too but you will get it in. I believe there are 3 options for the graphics on the foot pedal. Didi you choose the right one?
Hmmm - i didn't know there was a choice. But, yes after I tried for a long time my husband soaked it in hot water and used a screwdriver to wiggle that thing on. Also, I got a ceramic leather protector. You might like this - It's a huge help to save my white seats from jean marks and other stains. (GYEON Quartz LeatherShield 50ml - Advanced Sio2 Ceramic Coating for Leather - All Types of Natural Leather and Vegan Leather Alike - Does Not Change Finish of Your Upholstery - Repels Dirt and Liquid). I bought this on Amazon.

I don’t think it effects the look that much. If you worry about the look you could get both front and rear. As for the functionality, front mud flaps alone should do the job.

The screen protector mostly pro from your finger prints and glare. But sometimes it could protect from other objects too. I just accidentally chipped the display but because of screen protector it just chipped screen protector instead.

Hi! I loved the video :). May I ask what you do for a living to be able to afford the Model Y and 3? Im looking a Y but its a little out of my budget even with the price cuts so im looking for side hustles. Thanks and good video as always!
I'm a product and toy designer and TH-cam as a side hustle. I got some equity from previous cars to put down payment on both Model 3 & Y. So the payments on them are not that bad plus the gas saving is kind of help average out the payments.

The wheel covers look nice but are all 4 in the same design direction? When I go to the dealer link you shared, the image reflects all 4 for the left side of the car. The design would look backwards when applied to the right side of the car. If so, there are other manufacturers with similar designs that have 2 designed for the left and 2 designed for the right (i.e. Kavanic).
These covers are the same direction. I saw Kavanic covers they look the same as OEM but just in black color. I’m not a big fan of OEM design that’s why I changed it. These might not be as efficient as Kavanic covers but they offer much better look to Model Y and still have stock covers to change back for the road trip.

@@dadstoyscars actually Kavanic has the OEM design you mentioned and now also a design similar to yours. If you go to their website you'll see they distinguish between left and right side of the car for the proper design direction. Thanks again for your quick reply.
