Just did the Gamma Manticore this weekend and my Mantises did the exact same thing. Reset Arena and same result for round 2. Was gonna port them over to my Island playthrough and check again. But you pretty much saved me time
They’d be perfect if it wasn’t for their abysmal health stat. Better off used as glorified harvesters. But their max DPS is just insane with swords equipped.
they're assassins, they'll outdps a Giga as long as you have the stamina to mash right click I mean... they won't actually BEAT any Gigas, but they'll still outdps them.
Because of their drag weight and DPS, you can still get away with this without putting a lot of health and just go all in with damage to burst the bosses even faster. 10k health oughta do it with cooked steaks in their inventory and the rest of the points just right in melee.
To be fair, a real breeder these mutations are not crazy at all. In official, where people pay thousands of dollars for lines, people know how to breed correct. People also know how to farm bps and craft and farm efficiently. You can get capped weapons from apprentice bps so the resources needed are also not that crazy. I know on the pve side where it's daisy and rainbows this isn't the case but on the cutthroat pvp side you're survival literally depends on being experienced enough to keep up with the people that can manage this.
