Btw you can place turrets sideways on walls and upside down now! You don’t have to confine them to the ceiling you can have some sticking out the side of your walls so you get full coverage without needing hatch frames 👍

The movement speed lock was clearly a nerf to rocket run etc
Currently playing officials and can say c4 damage hasn't changed it took 1 c4 for stone and 3 for metal wall. Not trying to cause an argument just saying from experience
MAKE SURE YOUR YOUR WORLD IS IN HARDMODE i noticed a longneck was doing like 2k dam not 280 so if you go on hard mode it goes back to normal
Big thing to keep in mind vaults no longer “drop” they just straight up get demo’d so instead of using explosives on the vault itself just use it on the foundation it lies upon

You can make your own hatch frames with pillars for turret towers
C4 is not nerfed Vin, it’s because single player has a built in increased structure resistance
c4 is def nerfed lol

Hatch frame aren’t actually gone, you can use pillars, and construct a hatch frame. Basically sideways pillars to spill off the side of a structure and make a square.
I think horizontal pillars will be good for placing turrets
Was thinking the same haven’t tried yet but might be able to get 5 turrets or atleast 3 like 1 either side and on the top
Behemoth gate with no door and turrets all up the frames works good
They are to chunky, instead use fences to place turrets
Normal generator has so much range you can just place the turrets on pillars around your base.
Using the building from Atlas was a good idea, saves having a ton of engrams
You have catwalk, you need to see the HUD, There you have more buttons, also, all structures have more options, gotta learn them all
Beams are going to be the new tower builds, pillars sideways to get best coverage
I agree with the c4 nerf, so much effort and grind for it to be destroyed so easily. It will mean having to soak out bases and more pvp
It's not true though he's not on hard mode he's on easy. So structure dmg is nerfed

The c4 isn’t nerfed, In single player the c4 does less dmg because the default single player difficulty is hard which makes c4 do less damage. On official c4 does the same amount of dmg as it did on ase.
single player damage is set to 0.25 i think its a setting you need to change in your single player settings. Should be normal on official servers.

C4 and rockets are exactly what they used to be when ark first came out. Back when we could get ascendant rocket launchers
Honestly i love the buff to top bases that comes with the c4 nerf

On my PC in single player c4 still deals the old damage ... idk but maby the settings for structure damage are different on our machines, though idk how the damage on officials is
1:10 me personally prefer to put turrets on the ground and on little bit distance so you cant stand in front of wall and get no damage

You can build hatchframes with pillars
You can turn the normal ceilings into hatch frames
You should have checked if rafts glitch inside each other still, or if raft life will be fixed
the explosive damage on single player is set to 0.25 instead of the 1 in offical
I heard that caves were going to be nerfed to discourage bases in caves. Has anyone checked the damage multiplier in caves?

I heard they changed some of the entrances. Like ice cave is no longer a crouch cave. Which is why it was a bitch to raid online imo.

explosion damage is appereantly decreased on singleplayer so its not that bad
I tested in my singleplayer and it did the same damage as it does in ASE... i dunnow

so how many c4 for each wood stone metal
4 c4 for wood but 2 for stone
8:50 i dont think its would be fixed. for that every single one structure should have its own range. if its big base, only foundations is okay, but every wall, ceiling and etc is hard for system i think
I was on a 4 year hiatus. We always used rockets over c4

C4 nerf makes sense as you said 3-4 c4 for a metal behe that took 3600 metal to make is asinine. I feel you should atleast have to grind 75% as hard as someone grinded to build something to demo it.

To be fair most bases are going to be in caves or places that take increased damage. And since they did nerf most of the caves this does make sense
But they didn't nerf Vin just played on easy instead of Hard. Pvp servers are played on hard and its normal nothing has changed for c4 dmg
so i probably have over 700 days on ark and quit some time ago is this new game worth playing?
