If you are still doing this series by the time Fjordur comes out it would be cool to see the wolves again, but also bring a Fenrir to buff them. Fenrir buff the dirwolves damage output by about 50% on top of the pack bonus they already have.
It's very sad that direwolves can't be good mounts for later game uses. The lack of damage reduction from a saddle hurts so much. I lead a pack of 8 all the way from the swamp side of the redwood all the way to the snow cave, devouring everything we came across. Bolstered by this and their relative high health (some taking only about 1k along the way from errant rexes or yutys/carno packs) I delved into the snow cave. I didn't even clear the first encounter. I killed maybe two bears, and then they just more or less started falling over a few at a time before leaving me standing alone amidst half a dozen enemy direwolves, three more bears, and a couple of yeti. I came back with 8 hyaenodons and wiped the first group without losing a single one. Simply because I had a 109 saddle for them. Direwolves need SOMETHING. I don't care if they get a reduced effectiveness accessory (like a max 70 armour collar or something), they just aren't good for the important stuff, and taming them "early" when they would be useful is really difficult because they're in a biome that newbies can't really survive. Once you get to the awkward middle stage of the game the options for taming open up immensely and you can very quickly get a tame like a deinonychus (on older Ark, but soon enough ASA), sarco, sabertooth, or chalicotherium, all of which which eclipse the direwolf as a usable mount. Even 42 for the chalicotherium is not that unreasonable. You zip through the first half of the levels in Ark. But even a trike has more use, sadly, for its utility in collecting berries and extreme tankability for its level. Stegos aren't much further ahead either at 26 (23 being the fur armour level when you could get a direwolf without freezing to death).
I'm very pleased seeing this. I never had much luck with completing Monkey or Broodmother on alpha. But yet again, tamed stats, no yuty, just pack leader buff. Beta dragon can be easily be done with good, tamed direwolves and a 2nd man on a daedon if you're not coordinated enough.
A worthy battle. Those underdogs put up a good fight. I forgot they don't have saddles so I was worried at first. Too bad they couldn't fully pull it off.
If you are taking suggestions, can you do a video where Yutyrannus are the main offensive dinos in taking on the Island bosses? Everyone knows that they are valuable as a support unit to buff your guys, but we haven’t seen that much of their physical strength.
Great vid.We know if we use 19 gigantoraptors were gonna loose, but what if only 1-2 are used that are bondend with all the other creatures.Because those buffs are really good.Would be interesting to see some expieriments with them. At the moment i'm working on getting my boss army bonded with gigantoraptors,i'm exited how this will go. Great as always and keep up the great work👍👍👍
Got a basic army of no mutation direwolves (just felt like raising them since got parents from a raid). And while watching this video i had an idea........ what if instead of yutyanus...... what about a high level high health rex with max saddle to tank the hits? Im thinking around 50k health with 124.5 armor saddle? Wonder if the lack of boast, replaced with a tanky build would be enough to secure a broodmother win?
i have an idea for you to try. an al passive tame island run. no ehyonathias or carcs either. no squids either( they hurt animals in the process of taming. thats right. a peta approved island run!. no using traps either!. the goal is to beat atleast the gamma bosses ( with no yuti becuase u cant passive tame it. ).
Also the direwolfs have a mod that makes them stronger it's called reborn direwolfs removes their headshot multiper and gives them armour better armour can be found by killing direwolfs in the wild
Standard capped saddle and roughly the same stats but a little more health (27k) and pumped stamina. There were a few videos where they had a lot more on accident but it didn't make a difference in the outcome
Question... Wouldn't they have had a better shot if you were able to use the howl ability? I think you have to be on the alpha to activate, if memory serves me correctly.
Again I commented before but now do it with the gigantoraptor buff. The damage mitigation should make no saddles a non issue. I reckon it's situational, some dinos might actually fair BETTER with the raptor than a yutty.
Dino’s being able to headshot is ridiculous. It destroys the viability of so many dinos that weren’t even that good to begin with now they get one shot if they fight a boss or enter a cave.
@@BoomsmithIt would be nice to see a rematch against Alpha Brood with the Gigantaraptor present...maybe two. You could even put all points into health so it lives longer AND have it take the Broods aggro over Commander Yutes. I still think Commander Yutes should also get a lover in this series also lol
HAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHA I LOVE IT!!! Edit: Sheet is updated with Direwolfs ;)
I love seeing the wolves dominate, but you learned a valuable lesson with the alpha broodmother today
The best part of this series is you and alpha broods relationship 😂
Gotta keep things spicy
Yeah it's definitely hilarious

I intend to keep this going for all the expansions.
This is the very first series on TH-cam that has ever had me addicted.. I literally check everyday for new content.
Oh man I wish I could pump them out every day! Sadly it will be a couple weeks before the next one, I'm heading out of town.

I agree the dire wolf (and dozens of other creatures) are in desperate need of some TLC.

Yuty is a must! Get you a commander yutes!
I think for the creatures without saddles, you need to pump in an extra 5000 to 10,000 health to offset the damage
I think they'd need another 100,000 to make it even lol
Awesome. Thanks for showcasing the puppers.
No worries, thanks for watching!
A worthy battle. Those underdogs put up a good fight. I forgot they don't have saddles so I was worried at first. Too bad they couldn't fully pull it off.
They'd be pretty op with saddles though.. but some kind of protection would be nice
Nice job pups! Alpha Brood steals another gold medal.
She's really the worst
Brilliant, loved this. Gets my sub and like.

Stego would work better to tank since herbivores get agro over carnivores. Give it a go!

Man if only direwolfves had saddles, they would've got that well-deserved gold medal. But for now, they made it very far without saddles 🎉
I was impressed
Yes they made it farther than I thought
Me too!
What saddle and stats does ur yuty have that u use

It works without you on them
didnt think my wolf would also have glasses lmao
That's just vital war paint
Gotta say I'd never try direwolves... even after seeing this lol. That said good vid pal.
It's the lack of saddles for me
They did so much better than expected. I assumed they would get smoked due to squishy. Good on them though.
Exceeded my expectations as well

Worth exploring for sure
Did you try the howl ability on the Broodmamma?
Yes they always howl before they engage initially
You planted the seed. I wanna see bulbdogs VS bosses 😂
Lol those poor googly eyes little shits would get obliterated

I'm not a fan of the new head shot mechanics unless I'm the one doing the shooting 🤣
Did u use the wolf howl in this fight?
Of course
Oh okay I was always curious about that since the hyena’s
Ig broodmommy was not having it today lmao!
But I wonder if the gigantoraptor buff might help them out 🧐

I love direwolves i just wish i could give them a saddle. This timing of this video is interesting because I just lost my IRL boy last night.
Sorry for your loss 😔
I’m curious if the Pachyrino does better than the triceratops
Got them coming up soon!
Under wolves need someone to get that howl going.
They howl on their own now
Really! Good to know 😂
you should try to get rampy for the raptor video
