These things are even crazier now due to traits. You can solo alpha dragon with a single gator. Toss on endursnce, vampiric, and kingslayers. The bleed actually works on the dragon and it heals enough with vampiric it heals off the fire damage
That beast is not agroing the bosses, so if you don’t take a yuti the spider/gorilla will not attack you directly, which let you place the deinos all around them. And for the Dragon, I just use a stego to tank the damage, and whistle the crocos to attack on the back. Like that, they take ZERO damage, breath or bite
good thing no-one is noticing. the more Ark Additions creatures that are added before Abb means they'll have to rebalance Rockwell to work *with* these in the game. and I for one can't *wait* to see how crazy that's gonna be.
I love these things. I think there supposed to be Rex equivalents but in terms of early game they are so much easier to manage and use. In my mind Rexs are faster, tankier, and with alot of mutation investment can have a much higher sustainable damage Good old gator though are more maneuverable, and a ridiculous spike damage, and while incrediblby slow, can be used in water and are probably just better for pvp givin the amount of resistance they have. The contrast is refreshing
Honestly this series would feel so different if some of the creatures didn’t have so much dead space in between their models. I don’t breed mammoths solely because of how far apart they have to stand.
Hey ive been thinking about doing this for my boss fights do you remember what the base stats for them was right now i have one with 41 points in health and 42 points in melee would that be a good starting point for mutations
Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong? I tried Alpha Broodmother TWICE and got absolutely wiped, here was my setup: 17-18 Deinosuchus - 30k hp, 750% melee Yuty constantly doing roars Daeodon for a little bit of healing I whistled them all on her, but here's where I have no idea what's going wrong. For some reason the fight is always very short, the deinosuchus army does damage and very quickly, getting her to ~30% hp left, however, they all die by then for some reason. The first time I fought her I brought all prim saddles (big mistake) however the second time I spent thousands of metal to make 4 ascendant saddles to help out a bit with that, as well as pumping 5k extra health. Even after doing all that, I STILL got absolutely wiped. Note that I'm on singleplayer with singleplayer settings on and no relevant settings tinkered with. Any ideas why my Deinosuchus do so much damage but also take so much damage? Any help could spare my 3rd army from getting wiped.
What is the armor on the ascended saddles? I'd say with your stats you'll need 100 armor minimum on every saddle, or you can mutate until you have 2k damage. Its a pure dps race with her
@@Boomsmith The armor I used on those 4 I was talking about was a 167 ascendant bp, I used crafting skill strategy to get that even higher. I think you're definitely right about mutating damage, my damage starts with around 52 points, so quite good, however it needs more. Perhaps mutating is going to be a must to get them where they need to be. It might also be that I put them on aggressive or maybe they aren't doing their giga bite for some reason.
If you really think that this is overpowered you HAVE TO be also against the mutation system at all in my opinion. Its absurd how overpowered dinos get with the mutations in this game. The limit is WAY TOO HIGH. I would love to see a balancing here and i swear i was really hoping to see a lower mutation limit on this version of ark... but sadly they dont limited it.

The deinotherium won't really work for this series tho. Unless when it comes to vanilla they change its pack mentality. Only works best with one male and 3-4 females I belive. Multiple males use to get cranky and wouldn't fight if together
@hurracaynedre oh I'm aware, but these challenges take groups of max tames in. Tbh idk you could even fit anywhere close to like 12 or so on the obi lol. Even worse than trying to squeeze mammoths
I have the caps set in the ini, then I spawn in a blueprint that's over the cap. Once you restart the server or game on singlenplayer, it enforces the cap
I always try to find out what the base stats are from the dinos you used. I use a program called smart breeder to see what base stats the dinos have with the said mutations and levels... But its impossible. I never his the stats you showed in your video... If you say 2 Mutations you mean "50|2|0" or do you mean "50|4|0"?? because one mutation is displayed as 2 ingame. but on the other end it doesnt matter because i cant reach this stats with your said mutations. the stats will always be different to the ones you show in your video.
You can give up to 88 experience levels. This isn't a strategy guide, it's for entertainment. Just apply more mutations if you don't want to level them up more.

These are no more OP than a theri. Theri needs no mutations and a couple guys on wild tamed stego with shotguns 6k hp will kill alpha dragon. Its not a big deal to have OP boss killers.
@peeteerpaan i used capped on this, they can probably get away with lower quality but primitive might get them murdered by alpha broods unless they come in with a boat load of health

They should be this strong, deinosuchus in real life had the strongest bite force of any terrestrial animal to ever exist. Plus, we need more variety than just rexs and gigas/carchars.

Not the first person to say that, I'll have to test it out. The beginning stats are in the intro. 50 health and melee. 1 mutation is 2 levels.

I'm all about them being this strong but they maybe should he a little bit harder to tame
