Recently readjusting my work/gaming space has totally really improved my back and hip. Can't believe I'm not even 25 but have been having back and hip pains (not severe but I've been having discomfort around those area). Recently bought a used Haworth Zody and it's been great!
Hi! Thank you for this video! Could you share with us the height of your desk and your chair? I would like to know especially your distance between chair and desk (and maybe also your monitor height, you feel so ergonomic!)
Unfortunately as a leftie mice options are very limited - either have to go with an ambidextrous (ie symmetrical) option or pay through the nose for a true left-handed one :(
I never really thought about that. It looks like Logitech has a left handed vertical mouse, but those are a little weird to get used to. I know Robert uses them -Greg
@@btodtv yeah unfortunately whilst some things have improved over the years, as a community we are still massively overlooked for certain products. I understand why from a business perspective because we're a minority of barely 10-12%, but where accessibility is concerned I think governments should provide funding to companies to offset some of the loss.
An "ergonomic" mouse is a good first step but from an anatomical point of view there is no reason to not directly switch to a vertical mouse since it suits the anatomy of your forearm better, prevents epicondylitis and alleviates pressure in the carpal tunnel area. It takes a little more effort to switch but the long term benefit is way higher. Look for a good quality product that comes in different sizes for your individual hand shape and even left handed versions.
I have a thing where I pay good money for the 3 things that keep us connected the ground, bed, chairs, and shoes. Spend money on those three things and your body will thank you.
While I do understand the ways that this video serves as propaganda it has a lot of helpful advice and I'm actually using a cheap logitech mouse right now and my hand hurts...
This is why I don't understand why everyone seems to be doing the IKEA desk set up with Alex drawers. I did it, my desk is 31' in height and at 5'10, it's way too freakin' high. I'll invest in an adjustable frame when I see one on discount.
Drawer desks should never be your computer desk. In a proper setup there really isn't much room left for a drawer between your thighs and the desk. If there's enough room, it means the desk is too high.
@@btodtv Heavier mice tend to tire the arm quicker for me, I've used the logitech MX Master 3S that you switched to and that is heavy. I use a steelseries aerox 3 (59 grams) with ceramic pads on a plastic mouse pad, and its a huge difference for hand strain. It was $30 at one point which is crazy. Now I'm researching which adjustable desk is the best bang for buck to have. I've had BTOD's Steelcase V2 for 3+ years and has been doing wonders.

Switching to a Kensington Expert trackball w/ matching gel wrist rest cured my hand issues.
For the back, height adjustable desk was a game changer.
Thanks for sharing -Greg
Just out of curiosity, what clock is that sitting on the desk at :28?

Bw 150-170 kg (340)p
I can vouch for upgrading a cheaper logitech mouse to a Logitech MX or 502X. Night and day. And most of my forearm pain has subsided.

You're welcome! Thanks for watching :) -Greg
I recently tried the ticova and it sucks ass. Worse than a kitchen chair.
15 years?! Wtf?!
It wasn’t always wireless, but the bad mouse was always really bad! -Greg
The Mx Master is the worst mice i tried
Maybe not for everyone, but a huge upgrade for me personally! -Greg
