I went to every dang doctor and specialist and even renown doctors in other cities and NONE OF THEM COULD HELP ME. I suffered and was in agony close to 30 years. Then one sunny day, I went to Urgent Care because I had another vertigo attack and what they discovered were cotton strands in my ear from Q-tips. The strands were removed and I have not gotten any vertigo relapses.

How did they remove them exactly? I had my ears cleaned by a barber with cotton a few weeks ago and now my vertigo is back. Perhaps theres some cotton in there?

I had vertigo this past week "Benign positional vertigo (BPV)". dizziness when lying down of getting up. I was worried about all the things it could be but I booked an appointment with a Chiropractor expecting it to be back or neck related. Turns out it was an inner ear issue. He moved me into various positions twice and this corrected the position of the inner ear crystals. The dizziness has now gone away.

Hello, Dr. Berg...many of your videos have been very helpful to me, so I thank you for your good work. One topic I hope you will consider developing a video about is the relationship between vertigo and sciatica. I recently became aware that whenever I started having sciatica pain, a few days later I would have a vertigo attack. By using your recommendation of laying on a half-round foam roller for the sciatica pain, it also relieved the vertigo. If you think there is a correlation between the two symptoms, I would love to see a video in this regard.

I had vertigo for a couple of years. It would come and go but never went away completely until I did my 1st two extended fasts. It’s a miracle what fasting can do. It took me 2 extended fast to completely get rid of vertigo.

@@BackToLife2 my 1st 2 extended fast were water only fast. I did a 3 day fast each time . You need to add good sea salt in your water when you fast to replace the minerals that you need to balance the levels in your system. You should watch Dr Bergs videos about this subject. This will prevent headaches when you fast. Fasting is the secret sauce to living healthy. More people would benefit from it if they did this ancient practice.

@@peppaminttea I've had vertigo twice in my life, the results from severe flu and my brother-in-law has Meniere's, which its major symptom is vertigo. Once I went off dairy completely (well, 90 percent) and I started taking Vitamin D3 and Vitamin K2/MK-7 supplements - I no longer had colds, flu or sinus problems - all due to not have dairy and taking supplements. So, I suggested to my brother-in-law to go off of dairy completely to see if it helps with his vertigo because he was constantly having problems. Well, he went off of dairy and it worked! But if he has any of the cheese he loves to eat, sure enough the vertigo comes back. He says he does not take the vitamin supplements religiously - so it's hard to tell if it helps with his vertigo as much as going off of dairy did for him. I hope this answers your question.

I get positional vertigo, call BPPV. It happens when I turn my head in a certain way. This is due to tiny grains within the inner ear that may get misplaced with certain head positions. If I vacuum under the bed, for example, turning my head to the side as I'm partly upside down will trigger it. I correct it with something called the Foster maneuver (half-somersault). Sometimes it takes more than one try. I usually feel nauseous after the 'correction' but then feel much better by the next day. Another method to fix BPPV is the Epley maneuver, often done with the assistance of a practitioner in an office. Believe it or not, there's also phone apps for BPPV, but I have not tried any of them.

This is an interesting topic for me. I have posted all the benefits I have seen with IF and improved diet. However, one issue that has come up since on this diet is vertigo. I have never really experienced it until recently. I have only gotten it when I was very dehydrated after long runs in 90 deg heat. I generally get it the next am. I am now doing a better job of using more electrolytes. I had a friend who experienced similar issues, he believe that since there is less fat on my body, there is less liquid stored and this makes me a bit more susceptible to dehydrating. Waking up being dizzy in the am is happening more. I will try the vitamin mix of D3 and K2. I may also have some Calcium buildup. Thanks.

One thing you can try first is an exercise by Carol Foster called a half somersault. I had vertigo one time two years ago (I had simply turned over in the bed). I did the exercise and never have had it again. Hope some of these suggestions help; it was the worst one minute of my life.

Hi Dr. Berg, do you think vitamins D+K2 helps relieve the volume of tinnitus? If I could just turn the volume down I would feel better because I could sleep better.Tia☮️

Someone dear to me had tinnitus for 8months and it went away after taking Ginkgo Biloba tablets for 21days. Taking 1 tab in the morning and 1 in the evening and also taking a tablespoon of blackstrap molasses to keep BP in check as the Ginkgo herb has a tendency to raise blood pressure. I’m sure Vit D & K2 will help.

YES! Your Tinnitus will definitely be lessened or eliminated by doing these THREE things that will help tremendously:
      1. STAY away from DAIRY, very mucus forming, which clogs your sinus and inner ear "channels".
      2. Take Vitamin D3 supplements. I, personally, take 15,000 IU's per day, it helps fight infections too.
      3. Take Vitamin K2/MK-7, 90mcg X (1 pill )2 times per day. The brand I use is "Jarrow Formulas" if that helps.
I hope this information will help you. 😊💖

Yeah my elderly mother is a vertigo sufferer, she never ate vegetables nor proteins, she has the worst diet I know of, she went to a few doctors, they medicated her did not help, now for the past few months I got her to clean her diet, with vegetables (still not enough but at least a more than before) and have her fasting 16 hours a day, she is much better.
