Great video, Dr. Berg! Zinc is indeed a powerhouse nutrient that often gets overlooked. As a fellow wellness creator, I appreciate how you highlighted its role in immune support and overall health.
It's fascinating to note that zinc not only aids in enzyme function but also plays a critical role in DNA synthesis and cell division, which is vital for healing and growth. Additionally, I’d like to add that certain populations, such as vegetarians and pregnant women, may be at a higher risk for zinc deficiency due to dietary restrictions.
Encouraging viewers to include zinc-rich foods like nuts, seeds, and legumes in their diets can be a great way to prevent deficiency. Thanks for shedding light on this important topic! Looking forward to more insightful content from your channel!

Candida feeds on zinc. That was the cause of my zinc deficiency. Zinc is needed for DHT production. Without it I had bad brain fog, no ability to feel sexual pleasure, and difficulty building muscle. Even taking TRT did nothing for me. Testosterone can't fully function without some of it being converted to DHT is what I've come find out. There is research that backs my personal experience out there if there's any doubt.

I quit taking testosterone years ago because I had quit feeling the benefits of it. When I first started it was great but after a while I didn't feel a difference if I missed 2-3 weeks or had my shot. What you're talking about could have been my problem. Definitely going to try zinc.

@dillinger187 I would agree, but the food found in the USA, unless you grow and raise it yourself, is deficient in many minerals. Modern farming, really agribusiness, has destroyed soil, turning it to lifeless dirt and dust producing seeds, not food. Also, not giving the soil a rest every 7 years. Where that is practiced, people are healthy.

As usual, Dr. Berg hit the nail on the head! Zinc plays a vital role in numerous bodily functions, from supporting our immune system to aiding in wound healing and even influencing our sense of taste and smell. What’s fascinating is that zinc is involved in over 200 enzymatic reactions, which means it’s essential for processes like protein synthesis and DNA synthesis. Make sure you get your zinc and copper in, folks!

I’m wondering this too…I know you can get sick if taken too much, it happened to my friend. Her stomach hurt. Also I’ve heard you can unbalance copper levels so I’ve always been scared to take zinc by itself. I never know how much to take.

For vitamin D to work, you better have a Zn finger. This Zn finger allows vitamin D to bind to the DNA binding domain so that hormone D can be transcribed and translated into a usable protein. Zinc fingers baby, which means you need Zn...

You may be overstimulating it! You can over supplement with Zinc & Vit C if you’re not actually sick because it puts immune system in overdrive & then you’re more susceptible to illness. Reg amounts daily are good, then bump them up when actually sick or someone in the house is sick. Otherwise, look in to betaglucans on a daily basis.

Did the virus of 2020 to 2023 cause permanent impairment of zinc absorption and/or permanent alterations in either zinc transport or zinc metabolism in general? Did the invasive Federally backed population wide intervention for that virus trigger any of the above? Did either of the above cause zinc sequestration as part of the nutritional immunity process in the body (similar to iron sequestration in nutritional immunity)? Thank you in advance and thank you for all the life saving info you have shared in the last decade.
