Dr. Bergs channel is one of the most important and informative channels anyone can ever watch... I feel it should be shown in schools and universities... the information is so important to health and better living for everyone..
Great video, Dr. Berg! Zinc is indeed a powerhouse nutrient that often gets overlooked. As a fellow wellness creator, I appreciate how you highlighted its role in immune support and overall health. It's fascinating to note that zinc not only aids in enzyme function but also plays a critical role in DNA synthesis and cell division, which is vital for healing and growth. Additionally, I’d like to add that certain populations, such as vegetarians and pregnant women, may be at a higher risk for zinc deficiency due to dietary restrictions. Encouraging viewers to include zinc-rich foods like nuts, seeds, and legumes in their diets can be a great way to prevent deficiency. Thanks for shedding light on this important topic! Looking forward to more insightful content from your channel!
Candida feeds on zinc. That was the cause of my zinc deficiency. Zinc is needed for DHT production. Without it I had bad brain fog, no ability to feel sexual pleasure, and difficulty building muscle. Even taking TRT did nothing for me. Testosterone can't fully function without some of it being converted to DHT is what I've come find out. There is research that backs my personal experience out there if there's any doubt.
I quit taking testosterone years ago because I had quit feeling the benefits of it. When I first started it was great but after a while I didn't feel a difference if I missed 2-3 weeks or had my shot. What you're talking about could have been my problem. Definitely going to try zinc.
I used to have really bad acne, so here's my advice for any guys out there: Cut back on sugar, make sure you get your 8 hours of sleep, and most importantly, practice retention!
@@11957gary Oh, thank you for sharing your concern. Early morning here, so I’m not as specific. The brand name is ZHOU and it actually is D3 + K2. This product can be found in Publix Supermarkets.
Wow, the timing of this video. I just got off the phone with my girlfriend and she was interested in getting bloods done, specifically for hormones and zinc. When she got blood work done previously and asked did it include zinc, her GP said "No it doesn't sure why would you want to know about that?". Needless to say, she no longer visits this doctor.
Until recently, Dr Lee Merritt had a useful link on her site called the 9 supplements you should take each day. Dr Berg, please consider creating something similar
@dillinger187 I would agree, but the food found in the USA, unless you grow and raise it yourself, is deficient in many minerals. Modern farming, really agribusiness, has destroyed soil, turning it to lifeless dirt and dust producing seeds, not food. Also, not giving the soil a rest every 7 years. Where that is practiced, people are healthy.
@@dillinger187not all foods you can get enough vitamins through diet and if you are deficient in one, using supplements can help boost the system back to normal range without eating too much calories. Most people are low in Vitamin D and B vitamins especially in winter
I'm starting to completely believe that some of the older men to whom us younger men are supposed to look up to, would rather have a feminine voice. It has to be more than just a zinc deficiency in these guys. Either way, it's annoying as heck! 😐 Have a strong day, people!
As usual, Dr. Berg hit the nail on the head! Zinc plays a vital role in numerous bodily functions, from supporting our immune system to aiding in wound healing and even influencing our sense of taste and smell. What’s fascinating is that zinc is involved in over 200 enzymatic reactions, which means it’s essential for processes like protein synthesis and DNA synthesis. Make sure you get your zinc and copper in, folks!
Since taking zinc with magnesium along with D3 and K2, the pre mature heartbeats I used to experience vanished completely! And they were occurring on a regular basis. There is another interesting good side effect for me Since taking these supplements my stools are a lot less smelly and the odor of flatulence is from little to none. Not sure why but thee is definitely a significant difference!

I started taking zinc carnosine after watching one of your videos about a year ago. It has helped incredibly with my stomach. The only time I now have a ulcer pain is when I miss taking the zinc supplement for multiple days in a row. I also noticed that I don’t get as sick as Ihave in the past or for as long.
I've been taking Zinc for over a decade. Now that I'm 52, I see the best results with at least 25 mg. after dinner. Still having morning erections like in my 20's.
I’m wondering this too…I know you can get sick if taken too much, it happened to my friend. Her stomach hurt. Also I’ve heard you can unbalance copper levels so I’ve always been scared to take zinc by itself. I never know how much to take.

For vitamin D to work, you better have a Zn finger. This Zn finger allows vitamin D to bind to the DNA binding domain so that hormone D can be transcribed and translated into a usable protein. Zinc fingers baby, which means you need Zn...
You may be overstimulating it! You can over supplement with Zinc & Vit C if you’re not actually sick because it puts immune system in overdrive & then you’re more susceptible to illness. Reg amounts daily are good, then bump them up when actually sick or someone in the house is sick. Otherwise, look in to betaglucans on a daily basis.
Did the virus of 2020 to 2023 cause permanent impairment of zinc absorption and/or permanent alterations in either zinc transport or zinc metabolism in general? Did the invasive Federally backed population wide intervention for that virus trigger any of the above? Did either of the above cause zinc sequestration as part of the nutritional immunity process in the body (similar to iron sequestration in nutritional immunity)? For me dairy (perhaps not all types) causes acne.
I was dealt the cruel hand of having really bad acne and once the acne finished up the hair loss started 😅.
What do you mean by retention?

My morning routine each day- Vitamin D3 + K2, Zinc, Apple Cider Vinegar supplements. Feeling GREAT. Haven’t been sick in DECADES!!!! : )
You need k2 and magnesium with your d3. I saw it in other dr berg videos. If you take d3 without k2 you could get calcium in your arteries.
