I really like the deep dive into the word adultery but even a look into the word porneia, only looking at the ways it is used in the bible, will show that it is a pretty broad term. Porneia more than likely includes everything from Leviticus 18.
I think the word adultery is very different that fornication. To adulterate is to lean to the idea of a bigamist. To have another family’s. The sexual act is a very small part of the dysfunctional, blended upset family with serious consequences. It is upsetting to understand that most every, even conservative church I know of, approves of adultery.
