The technical polish and concrete vision is something old Bungie would be proud of. Love how you can immediately tell everyone involve give a shit in the best possible way.
Didn't "old bungie" famously lack both of those things though lol.
Like I love the og halo games but come on bungie were lucky they turned out so well.
@@Ashamedofmypast Luck can only be so much of a factor when you release masterpiece after masterpiece after masterpiece. They may be a tiny bit rough around the edges today, but you have to remember the time when they were made. Nothing else was like them, and literally only Call of Duty could compete (which was also fantastic at the time). Bungie simply knew what made games fun, and they put so much care into every aspect of their games.

Yeah the model is great, I would just suggest making the armor colored metal like in CE, rather than being painted.
@@harbingerdawnthis will be done in due time. The elites were and are a huge undertaking for the project. I want to make sure we get them right, so there is still a lot of polish to be made.

343 has shown some creativity with Halo. some good creativity & some bad. -- Also it's super obvious that fan mods would be full of passion, they aren't for money so passion is the main reason they exist. Meanwhile pro devs work because they make money, passion is a bonus but only some devs on a pro team will have it.
@@PandaJerk007 The original Bungie team for Halo 1-3 worked for money and had loads of passion so your excuses for 343i are completely flawed.
@@_Zeruca good for the original Bungie team. I loved them too. I'm just saying passion is not a guarantee among pro dev teams, while passion is much more guaranteed for fan mods.
Up until Activision ripped them apart. Destiny 1 was beautiful and creative, but Activision ruined the direction of the game with greed so it didn't turn out the way it was planned while the OG team was whole.

As a teenager I spent many evenings in my room playing halo.
Now as a married man with more responsibility, I fully intend to spend a similar if not more time in my room playing halo. This trailer has so much nostalgia to it!

@@ambrose3560I'd be a bit sad if it is. I'm not completely against AI, it's one thing to use it in a small mod, like to fill in the gaps, so to speak, and another to use it to voice an entire story. There are plenty of talented voice actors who will accept work just for exposure and experience. Look at Skyrim, for example.

Idk but my best guess is at least 2 or 3 missions. Cause we see 2 completely different biomes, and then we see some different looking forerunner interiors that could or could not take place within those biomes.

Multiple biomes. Imagine that.
So, for those of you who weren't old enough... when the original Halo trailer dropped at E3 and was revealed... we didn't understand exactly what we were seeing, but we did know this world was going to be alien, with local creatures, and a menacing alien threat, and terrain in what felt like a living, breathing, ecosystem on a massive ringworld. It was... tremendous. Instead of hunkering down on their existing Blam engine legacy and forking and evolving that with a very limited aesthetic... 343 should have gone with whatever would carry the vision of the original Halo forward. They knew it and they didn't do it. I'm glad to see others are embracing technology that floors you with reverence of the living world that could be around you in this space opera IP.

you can see some additional wild life in the autumn level if you look hard enough, nobody else seems to have pointed it out yet

Can we get a description / synopsis of what the mod is? I'm thinking it's an original story with a non Spartan protagonist. Taking place during combat evolved. But that's just what I gather without concrete info

This looks incredible. You guys should take this video down, scrub all mention of it from the internet, and say nothing publicly until the project is done. Microsoft and 343 won't allow a large project like this to survive.
Once again, the community is putting out better Halo than 343.
