- This was an incredible milestone for us! The crazy thing is, that just 3 weeks before making it to the northern most point in Sri Lanka, we didn't even know how to drive a tuktuk. And during our first tuktuk travel day we questioned if this trip was even going to be possible because of how difficult it felt at the beginning of our journey.
So happy we didn't give up. Let this be your sign to NOT GIVE UP ON HARD THINGS!
This has been the adventure of a lifetime and something we hope we get to do again some time. We hope you enjoy today's video. We still can't believe we drove all across Sri Lanka, from Kandy to Jaffna in our very own little three wheeler (oh yes, and we slept in a gas station 😂).

Hi! Yes, so that part never make it to the final edit because we did a terrible job at explaining it (we were too tired)... but our last 2 days in Kandy were spent trying to extend my (Aimara's) Sri Lankan visa and we couldn't. However, we already had our next destination planned and had non-refundable tickets and hotels because we were counting on the extension... so we lost about $1,000 that morning 🙈 it was rough. Thanks for asking 💞

From a tourist perspective, yes. I think the currency is still quite volatile, but in terms of visiting and enjoying the country it is back to 'normal.'

EELAM and Tamilnadu were same LAND seceral 1000 yeqrs ago and unfortunately divided by SHALLOW sea called Palk Sea due to Natural Disasters like Tsunami.
EELAM not Srilanka
Tamil is the oldest living language under the sun and more than 5000 years old language but Sinhala language only came after 6 AD after they came from India as illegal immigrants to Tamils' oen Island EELAM.
Eelam is the original name of the island 🏝️ and only after 1972 the Sinhala racists run Srikankan regime changed the name as so called Srilanka.
We Tamils R the ORIGINAL inhabitants or the island and Sinhalese were the the immigrants to the island as their Mahavamsa clearly states that.
We have enough PROOF of Tamil Culverts and archeological evidence dated more than 2500 years old unlike the Sinhalese whose SINHALA language itself cooked UP after 6 AD.

thank you!!! we were happy to visit this part of Sri Lanka 😎 driving 'UK style' wasn't too bad. we were in Malaysia before Sri Lanka, so we were already a bit used to it. I only drove on the wrong side twice haha! and both times in small towns where some friendly people reminded me to get back on the correct side 😅
